This cosy semi-detached cottage in Coniston sleeps three people in two bedrooms. Maple Craggs is a compact wing of a farmhouse in Coniston. There is a double room, a single room and a bathroom upstairs, and downstairs is an open plan living area with sitting area with woodburner, a dining area and a small kitchen. Outside there is off road parking for one car, and a small patio, plus use of the owners' garden. The amenities of Coniston are within walking distance of Maple Craggs, with the rest of the Lakes within easy reach.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Just returned from an absolutely perfect stay in this wonderfully comfortable cottage set in a most beautiful part of the world. Fantastic walking/hiking right on the door step virtually no need for the car if you are satisfied with the delights of wonderful scenery and don't wish to visit other towns & villages. We went for the walking with our dog and to visit our son living close by. The village is a few minutes walk literally and with 4 pubs as well as a pizza restaurant there's plenty of choice on offer for a drink or meal at the end of the day. The village shop stocks an ample choice of provisions but also local produce. The owners live close by and gave us a warm welcome and offer the generous use of their garden. A gem of cottage that I would be more than happy to recommend even revisit myself.

Cleanliness and comfort of the cottage was excellent as was the position which was in a quite location in Coniston but within 400 yds of the village pubs and amenities, excellent base for ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead etc. Owners of the cottage were most helpful. will be returning hopefully next year.

We found this cosy cottage to be a good place to relax and enjoy Coniston Waters. We had our dog with us and it all worked very well. The cottage is equipped with all one might need, the garden is a treasure and our hosts gave us a warm welcome. This retreat was just a brief walk into the center of town along a babbling brook. Can recommend this as a good place to base a holiday in the Lakes.
