Additional Location Information
The flat is right in the middle of the 'posh' area of Copenhagen - called
Frederiksberg, named after our old king. This is in many ways the nicest part of Copenhagen, due to the beautiful area, the metro, safe neighbourhood and fabulous restaurants and shopping.
Frederiksberg Gardens, arguably the most beautiful and most romantic
garden/park in Copenhagen, is just on the other side of the street.
It is only 2-3 minutes walk from the metro, which will bring you to the very tourist-centre of Copenhagen in only 4 minutes.
There are plenty of nice cafés, restaurants, cinemas, fitness center, 3 theaters, one of
Copenhagens best shopping streets and the Frederiksberg shopping mall (incl.
supermarket) all within 5 min walk.
The flat is situated in a courtyard and is therefore sheltered from traffic
noice and there is a little garden just outside the windows. During the summer of 2009 the building was painted and half a million Danish Kroner has been put into making this beautiful building look even nicer.

What Past Guests Are Saying
We rented an apartment from Steffen, however, it is not the one pictured on this site. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of our rental. The apt. we stayed in was located in Frederiksberg. One cannot ask for a better location; it is close to public transporation, Frederiksberg gardens, cafes, bakeries, and shopping. If you like to walk, you can even walk to the center of Copenhagen. The apartment had two bedrooms, living room, well-supplied kitchen, and a very small wet bathroom (small sink, toilet and open shower) Beware everything gets wet. the apartment was bright with lots of windows, clean, and quiet for the most part and the wi-fi worked great. We met Steffen and his mum and he was always reachable by telephone or email for any questions. He even arranged to have a taxi pick us up to take us back to the airport. We didn't experience any problems with the apartment or appliances or the bathroom. If you want luxury accommodations, then stay somewhere else. If you want somewhere comfortable, clean, and conveniently located with no frills, then this is the place for you. We shopped in the neighborhood, cooked a couple of meals at home, enjoyed the local cafes and coffee shops and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The negatives were really old and worn bath towels and flat pillows.
Nice but too expensive
The apartment is cozy, nicely furnished and the owner very nice. There is a courtyard with a lawn, table and sandbox for small children.
However, the place is very small and not as clean as I would have wished. Some of the silverware was dirty and the bathroom did not smell very good.
When we came, the bathroom sink plug was stuck and the sink unusable for the first day. My husband and the owner then had to work on it for half an hour to get it unstuck.
We were also expected to clean before leaving.
The curtains in the bedroom were too thin so it got very bright in the morning.
For all this I simply thought the apartment - though lovely - was too expensive.
This Was Perfect
I agree with the apartment description that this is perfectly located for a visit to Copenhagen. It is not in the city centre but it is close to lots of transportation options and we had the bonus of seeing how local people in Copenhagen live. We took the bus to and from the city center and also caught the Metro to hook up with the S-train to head out to Hillerod and Fredericksborg Castle.
The apartment is in a safe, upscale area. We enjoyed the Fredericksberg Gardens which are a 5 minute walk from the apartment and a wonderful way to de-stress after a long flight. Next to the Gardens is the Copenhagen Zoo which we visited before heading for our cruise ship and it was worth the visit. The Metro is a 5 minute walk and the stop is located next to a shopping center. Close by are two grocery stores, a 7-11 and a couple of popular bakeries.
The apartment was clean (appliances were fine from what we could see) and comfy and felt more like home than a hotel room. Restaurants are expensive in Copenhagen so it was a real advantage to be able to buy groceries (which are also more) for some meals. The Wifi worked well and the apartment was stocked with lots of tourist guides to the city. This apartment is a perfect size for a couple or small family. I'll attach a couple of my photos for an updated look.
Do not miss the Frederiksberg Gardens.

Loved the Location
The flat was perfect for our needs. The location was outside of the city center but close enough to easily bike to anywhere we wanted to go. The neighborhood was great with everything you need within a 5-10 minute walk. Nearby are lots of cafes and restaurants, 3 grocery stores, a wonderful bakery, an ice cream shop, a large park and the metro station. The flat itself was clean and comfortable, had a full size bed in the bedroom, a nice dining/sitting room, and a small kitchen. The bathroom was pretty small and the shower was hard to adjust the water temperature to a comfortable setting. The flat was adjacent to a nice green space in the courtyard. We would definitely stay here again. We loved Copenhagen and cannot wait to go back again.
Just what we needed!
This cosy apartment was our home for some of our stay in Denmark over the holidays. It was just what we needed! We rented it the same day we contacted Steffen. He made it very easy for us even with such short notice!
Our family of four; two adults and two kids (1 1/2 and 7) found it suited our needs just fine while we explored the surrounding areas. Everything was within walking distance, even the centre of copenhagen, which was a must for us, yet the place was very quiet.
The apartment was well eqquiped, it even had a highchair!
The apartment is a typical Copenhagen apartment in size and style, and it didn't disappoint. The best though, would have to be the wood burning fireplace! Nothing beats bringing home baked goods from the bakery around the corner and enjoying it in front of the roaring fire.
We would absolutely stay there again.
