Enjoy breathtaking harbor views and a luscious Caribbean breeze from this cheerful, friendly cottage located in slower-paced, historic Coral Bay. This comfortable, colorful, and spacious home has lush gardens, lots of privacy and an expansive deck. Tracey, our wonderful host, prepares the house beautifully and provides you with a key to your own private paradise! Beautiful white sand beaches for sun bathing, swimming and snorkeling are just a few minutes away or you can stroll over to Crabby's, rent a kayak, snorkel gear and paddle over to a secluded beach not accessible by car.

In the evening walk down to the harbor and enjoy a r...omantic dinner at one of the wonderful Coral Bay restaurants or stop for groceries and have a romantic dinner at home on the deck.

The owners are artisans and this shows up in this home. This house has a paved access and great off the street parking. When you inquire and reserve Island Cottage you will work directly with the owner. We make sure your experience is personal and rewarding - all interactions will be with the owner or Tracey our on-island host. Air conditioning in the bedroom.

'We were so pleased at how well this place "works". The fans and cross ventilation kept it really pleasant in mid-July. It could sound mundane to someone who hasn't taken a look at other driveways hereabouts but this driveway is primo. We really enjoyed the birds and anoles; the bananaquits put on such a show in return for a bowl of sugar water. We had a great vacation!' The Campbells

'If you seek constant entertainment, pool parties, cocktails served all day, dancing in the club or nightly bar hopping, this is not for you! I have a high stress job and I found the perfect get away, not only St John, but this lovely 1 bedroom home. I found none of the usual Caribbean attitude here. My family takes a few trips every year and after visiting Hawaii, Aruba, St Kitts, Nevis, Nassau, St Lucia and Puerto Rico, this is, by far, the cleanest, friendliest and most beautiful of all the Caribbean islands. 3/4 of the island is a national park.

To get to Coral Bay, it is a great drive through the hillsides, passing some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. The home sits above Coral Bay, and juts out from the side of the hill. The breezes run through the house all day. Three glass sliding doors open in the living room bringing the outside in. The house is brand new, clean, comfortable, convenient and absolutely welcoming. We grilled out on the deck while enjoying some rum drinks, eating breakfast and dinner on the deck. We played dominoes while watching the ships in the bay, watched the sun rise with our morning coffee and felt like we were in a dear friends home on vacation. Anything you could want was here. 2 minutes to the local food market, and 3 minutes to a local eatery called Skinny legs (great burgers and beer) The most amazing part of this house was its view, night and day. I can not tell you how peaceful it was to sit in the hammock, feeling the breezes from the bay, enjoying a good Belgian beer and looking up at the stars at night. It was intoxicating!   Island Cottage is a wonderful retreat. It's a beautiful, lush, artsy escape. You can watch the sun rise over the ocean from bed! The owners are responsive, kind and helpful. The cottage is equipped with all necessary anemities. Enjoy a glass of wine in the outdoor shower while the sun shines on your face. It's close enough to restaurants and beaches for convenience sake, yet completely private. It's a true blessing to stay there.

  It was our 3rd visit to the Island (twice we stayed at the Westin Resort). So, we already had great memories of St. John. What amazed us this time - was the cottage itself. It is absolutely charming, impeccably clean & the views are stunning. One can see that Cindy put her heart & soul into decorating it. Being there, we felt relaxed & comfortable. Hope we would be able to come back one day.

  After years of staying in St. Thomas, we finally made the switch to St. John and were amazed to find Island Cottage in Coral Bay. We were hooked the minute we walked down the steps to the front door. Cindy and Harry have created an entire living space adorned with art; the kitchen is complete with little surprises that make dining on the patio a welcome change from restaurants; the views of Coral Bay are incredible; Tracy, the on-island caretaker, goes out of her way to make your stay perfect. It's surrounded by a lush garden, just 10 minutes from a great snorkeling beach and even closer to the nearest bar! We're now planning our 3rd of many more visits to the best place to stay on St John!

  Home-away-from-home in paradise!

  We love Island Cottage and have stayed there 3 times, in 4 years, and can't wait to get back! We started coming when our son was 2 years old. We have stayed other places on the island but Island Cottage is our favorite. It truly is our home away from home. It is completely equipped with everything you need. Cindy and Harry are terrific as is their caretaker, Tracey. They are very approachable, answer any questions that you may have, welcome you with a welcome basket, etc... Cindy's artistic touches, complete with outdoor mural, are fabulous. We really like that Island Cottage is located on the quieter side of the island (except for the roosters and we got used to them!). Many beautiful beaches with great snorkeling are within a 10-15 minute drive. The outdoor shower, deck with hot tub, view of Coral Bay from the hammock on the deck, the paved driveway, and the short walk to some restaurants and shops make Island Cottage a very special place.

  Beautiful Villa, Great Location!

  We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Island Cottage and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Island Cottage is beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. We loved sitting on the deck in the adirondack chairs enjoying the fabulous view of Coral Bay. The outdoor shower was wonderful! Cindy was very easy to work with and Tracey was very helpful to us during our stay.

  Romantic Cottage in the Perfect Location

  My husband and I stayed at this cottage for 6 nights for a wedding anniversary trip. We had been to St. John 3 times and choose this home because of it's location (Coral Bay), price and the beautiful pictures.
  
  We were not disappointed! This home is beautiful. Artful and cheery touches are throughout. There are books to read, music to listen to, towels for the beach, a hot tub a new grill - in short, everything one needs for an island vacation. The home is just above Coral Bay - close enough to hear live music from Island Blues restaurant - but far enough away that it was never loud.
  
  I can not wait to stay here again!
