Newly constructed custom two bedroom villa with pool has excellent views of Coral Bay and Bordeaux Mountain. Located on a cul-de-sac with no close by neighbors, Villa Jumbie offers an ultra private location for your east end vacation.

The open floor plan of the great room, kitchen and dining areas are surrounded with sliding glass doors which allow unrestricted views of Coral Bay and surrounds and cooling tropical breezes day and night. Exiting through the dining area or great room sliding doors will bring you to the beautiful covered portion of the wrap around deck complete with casual seating for gazing at the views or relaxing with a... good book. Through the sliding glass door from the kitchen area is the inviting poo deck with lounge chairs for sunbathing, a powder room bath and the gas BBQ grill.

The designer kitchen with granite counter tops and granite breakfast island offers all the amenities and features you will need to prepare snacks to gourmet meals. The glass top dining table with seating for four is conveniently located close to the kitchen and breakfast island. The Great Room features island styled rattan furniture including a queen sized convertible sofa bed surrounding a central flat screen TV with satellite service, DVD Player and audio sound system.

The lower bedroom located adjacent to the Great Room features a comfortable queen size bed with en-suite bath. There is a flat screen TV with DVD Player and a glass sliding door which open onto the covered veranda deck. The second queen size bedroom with en-suite bath is accessed by a beautiful metal and wood spiral staircase. This bedroom also has a flat screen TV with DVD Player and a private patio for two.

Villa Jumbie's location is such that you can watch the moon come up over the pool and spend hours looking at the incredible star fields at night. During the daytime you can enjoy watching colorful Hummingbirds and Bananaquits frolicking around the deck feeders. Only 15-20 minutes from our world famous beaches and the Virgin Islands National Park, Villa Jumbie offers a fabulous location for a truly memorable visit to St. John.

  Love this place! Great for 2 couples. The views where wonderful and a great place to get away from the crowds from the other end of the island but still easy to get to everything. The place is well taken care of.

  Villa Jumbie was awesome. I find that when I read these reviews, I always wish there were more details included about how the property is physically set up and the ease of drive in getting to the place so I want to focus on that. We stayed there January 2013.
  
  With a turn across from the fire station in Coral Bay, you head up SeaGrape Hill. The drive is paved the whole way up and although the property doesn’t sit very high, you have to take several switchbacks up and some back down in order to reach the property. Because the drive is paved, it’s much easier to access than many driveways in the area. We had no hesitation going out at night with a return in the dark. We visited friends while we were there at their villa and their drive seemed treacherous compared to our paved experience- they would never return to their house after dark. With that said, when you get to the villa, you have about 1 ½ flights of stairs down to get to the house (parking is up above the house.) The stairs were in great shape as the house is still new. There’s a hose at the bottom of the steps so you can rinse things (feet/shoes) before going in the house. This is a great feature for your daily return from the beach.
  
  The house is exactly as you can see from video/pictures but of course the usual all-encompassing beauty is far better than you see in a picture.
  
  The location is nice but if you want pure wilderness, this place may not be for you. In the evenings we could hear the music from the nearby bar… which we loved, but some may not like it. It was always an eclectic mix of music – a variety of genre throughout the week. Again, we really enjoyed sitting out on the deck each night, having a drink and listening to the music right from the house!
  
  The light in the house is incredible. The sunshine hits the house a good portion of the day. When we were there in January, we could not see the sunrise over the water, it was coming up behind the hill to the left of the house but it didn’t make it any less magical as the light rolled over the hills to the right.
  
  Another magical moment was sitting on the deck on Sunday morning and listening to the people at the Moravian Church not far away. The singing was so spiritual and made for a beautiful Sunday morning.
  
  Now, for the house, it was everything you could possibly need and want. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent again and would recommend it to anyone.

  Check-in and check-out were great! Very easy and nice to be met at the ferry dock. The home is wonderful. Clean, nicely furnished, nice layout, nice selection of beach things (towels, coolers, chairs, snorkeling gear). Great for a family with kids or just a couple. Perfect size for us. Loved reading on the porch in the mornings.
