My New Go-To Happy Place

Words cannot describe this paradise in paradise. Yes, the road is unpaved, mostly to get there. Yes, there are mosquitoes. So much for tiny, tiny, tiny annoyances in Paradise! This place simply is the most amazing we have ever, ever stayed at...including 6 other villas in St. John and many places in Hawaii. The views of the sea, the stars at night, the elegant, yet comfortable furnishings all make for a perfect, perfect retreat. Almost didn't want to leave to visit the great beaches and restaurants nearby!!! Long to be back, and only home for 2 weeks now...my new fantasy place to return to...and my only wish is that we found it sooner!

We were reminiscing about astral Ridge last night, because it was our honeymoon at this time last year. We were misty talking about it, and we were catching our breaths looking at the daughter we now have that was conceived there. Astral ridge has just what you need:some old movies and foreign films, adorable stone pool,perfect temp hot tub,flora and fauna, beautiful sunrises, open air showers,...I can go on and on.
It rained like crazy our first 2 days. While we were keeping our fingers crossed for sun, the treefrogs and everything else in the jungle around was happily making love in it..loudly.
The drive up and down is crazy, and steep. But after a day or two, and a steady hand, we were over it. Susan said to pick one thing to do each day and do it. So usually for us that meant heading out late morning when the sun was strong and going down to a beach, and back up for making dinner and evening swims. Or swimming and out for dinner and drinks at night.
As for privacy, it is very private. We stayed in the main house, with someone else each week in the guest house (which we peaked at..sooo cute and romantic!)..and we never saw them except passing in the driveway. We were very liberal with letting it all hang out..:>
It rained hard about 10days in, and the pool filled up a bit high and tripped the filter, after a day or so it got murky, but was quickly remedied for us.
All in all great service, questions answered, advice and check ins to make sure we were ok!
The salamanders are good friends that come inside to catch bugs so be kind to them, and make sure you check the bench cushions by the window before sitting down. :/
There will be a tarantula or scorpion around. Im not a spider person, but hey, its the jungle.
We have said 100,000 times it was the perfect honeymoon for us...and we have the best souvenier to prove it. Anyone thinking of staying here, go, leave it all behind, relax, sun, eat, drink, explore, and love every bit of magic around you! -

An amazing house with a perfect view. This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever been on. Susan and Diane were the perfect hostess. They made sure all our needs were addressed before we arrived. Transportation to the island, rental car even a person to meet us on the island to show us how to get to the home. (Brian, great guy).
This was my 25th wedding anniversary and my bride and I could not have been more pleased with our stay. I could go on and on about the place but I do not believe there is enough space here.
If you are considering this home, do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed by the home or the people who will help you with your stay!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at astral Ridge back in 2006. Since then we have traveled to Costa Rica, Los Cabos Mexico, & Jamiaca and always asked ourselves, "Why didn't we just to back to astral Ridge?"
St. John is amazing and astral Ridge makes it all the better. The view is stunning, the home is very well equipped and extremely clean. The gardens and plant life are spectacular! In booking our second trip for our 5 year anniversary, I looked at numerous other condos/houses on St. John to rent and just couldn't find anything that was even close. I would recommend astral Ridge to all of my friends and have in fact sent two couples there since our first trip.
Hopefully we will be able to take our 3 yr girl and 1 yr old boy back before our 10 year anniversary.

We loved our stay. The view is to die for. The privacy is wonderful. The house is lovely, clean and well stocked. The only down side is the very rugged terrain/driveway. It is a rough ride to make your way to this incredible slice of heaven.
