Great vacation in a fine villa with fantastic view

Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Nayia Villa is located in a nice and very calm area. It can be easily reached but you do need a car (and allow for 10 - 15 extra minutes to find it first time). The house offers a fine sea view, even from the swimming pool. Sunshine at the pool area starts at about 9:30 a.m. and lasts until you can see the sun disappear in the ocean. There is always a breeze.

The house is large and cleverly spaced, with an open kitchen and eating / living area and direct access to the terrace, grill and pool from all downstairs rooms. This allows easy communication and movement inside - outside. The upper rooms have balconies and a fantastic view to the sea.

The villa is comfortably furnished, well equipped and nicely decorated. It has plenty space for all guest needs. There is access to table tennis and table soccer. The pool is large, it was clean and the pool area is surrounded by palms and green bushes - very scenic and relaxing. The house was clean, we felt secure, the friendly landlord speaks good English, could be easily reached by phone and reacted promptly to all our needs (which weren´t so many, actually).

We had a sunny, peaceful and very relaxing time at Nayia Villa and can definitely recommend this house to guest groups with up to 6 persons.

      Very Quiet Situation

Left on 06/22/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We found this villa in the perfect situation with a large outdoor area. The villa itself was well appointed although despite the welcome pack there were certain essential items which it would have been good the know we had to provided eg kitchen cloths and washing up liquid.

The rooms were large and there were plenty of area outside in which to relax. Excellent pool. No one overlooking the villa and the space left between villas meant that you were not in any on top of the neighbours.

Information on the surrounding area and what could be found there would have been very helpful.

A bit away from the sea although there was a definite view of the sea. Some lovely sunsets could be observed from the patio.

      .

A car is definitely essential for this property.

Nothing beats peace of mind for a relaxing holiday

Left on 04/19/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Just had a week at this Villa for a second time. Why go back to where you have been?
1- The owners are not only about making money off you but really want you to have a good holiday
2- Peace of mind that all you reasonably need is there or available on request
3- The kids have a safe place to play, with table tennis, table football, footie goals and small pitch all available
4- Walks down to the sea caves are close by
5- Pony trekking is just 500m away
6- Pool is clean and pool furniture are safe and newish.
7- Very quiet location, though having a rental car is imperative for short drive to shops, beach and restaurants.

Our kids are 12,15 and 17. The 2 younger boys wore out the sporting stuff and loved roaming the orchards picking the fruit that were in season.(permission was generously given by the owners, I hasten to add). The eldest girl lounged on the poolside reading.

      For us it was ideal.

      Great stay at beautiful location

Left on 04/15/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Close to akamas (first time we have explored avakas Gorge), Sea Caves and Coral Beach and of course to Paphos.
So it´s a great location and the villa has a you need.
We used the pool (even if it was still a little bit cold in the first days of april) and enjoyed the BBQ grill.
Thanks for the table soccer and table tennis matches, too.
Why is the terrace not useable? Would be great.

      Holiday Review

Left on 09/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011

      1. On arrival at Paphos airport, when trying to pick up our hired car, my wife was verbally abused by the (male) Europa Hire Car attendant. This was not a good start to our holiday.
      2. Plumbing was a major issue with 2 of the 3 toilets not functioning properly during the holiday.
      3. Water power was an issue as showers were not possible for most of the holiday and hot water was not available for baths either.
      3. The beds in the rooms were really very uncomfortable. It was difficult to sleep on them in the very hot weather without any netting over the windows to insects out because windows simply had to be opened in the heat.
      4. People were sometimes (not always) rude, service was poor and food was expensive.

      On the plus side however:
      5. The house was lovely to stay in as a family home; and the pool and garden areas were clean and very well kept.
      5. The inland of the island of Cyprus was most beautiful and the people were friendly and interesting.
      6. 7. The cleaning staff at the house were very good and polite; the service was excellent from the staff & the father as well.
      8. The items left for us on arrival were much appreciated.

      Beautiful villa in lovely location

Left on 09/26/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Have just come back from a wonderful week staying at the Villa Nayia in Coral Bay.
The villa was an excellent size for 5-6 people - 2 double beds, and a twin. Open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge made it more socialable for friends.
The pool is a great size, and there is plenty of room around it for 6 people to sunbathe on the loungers.
There are 2 outside eating areas - one in the sun, and one undercover, plus the inside dining room, so lots of choice.
The location was stunning - in a quiet area - the last villa in the small estate so you are not overlooked at the front or left side. Although there is a new house being built on the left, so not sure when this will be complete. The view from the front (pool-side) is uninterrupted over a field and down to the sea - perfect for watching the sunsets.
One point to note is that there is no air-conditioning in the downstairs communal area and it gets very hot and stuffy in there. If you have the doors/windows open in the evening then all the mosquitoes come in.
However, all the bedrooms have aircon, and I highly recommend going for it at 5 euros per unit per day.
When we arrived, the key was in the door, but no-one came to check us in at all on the first day. We had to call the owner the following day to switch the aircon on for us, and to pay the remaining balance. We really needed the aircon on the first night, so it would have been good if he had come round that evening, or left the aircon on for us.
We hired a car for the week which was essential as there are no shops nearby, and you need to drive to get to Coral Bay or Pafos etc.
Items need to buy yourself: Charcoal, firelights and matches for BBQ, washing up liquid, washing machine powder, food, drinks, sauces, cooking oil, salt etc
Items worth bringing yourself: Pool towels as you are only provided with 1 towel each for the week. mosquito spray /coils etc, Dvd's, games etc
I would highly recommend this villa, and we are already planning when to go back !

Villa Naiya - what a fab experience !

Left on 08/22/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Having arrived at the willa with fantastic weather outside, the villa was clean, ready and all organised for our stay.
We were provided with a decent food welcome pack on arrival and given instructions on the air conditioning and other amenenties.

The pool is a really decent size for somebody who wants a good swim or for a family to pay around. Great sea views and very secluded.

The villa was very equipped with everything you could need, and has a great working BBQ which we thoroughly enjoyed using.

The rooms are all of a decent size, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all very clear and nicely decorated. Only comment I would make is the shower is not overly powerful, but this is probably more to do with the water system in Cyprus than the equipment.

The Villa is 1.5 hours wal into Coral Bay (leisurely) or 10 mins in a cab which costs 10 Euros a journey.Cost of taxi to and from the airport is 45 euros.

In coral bay is relaxed with some fun nightlife but not in your face - Kleos Bar, Millenium Gold bars are good for a late drink and the Coral King Restaurant is the best ever - great value, fab food and the service is impeccalbe - went their twice in 1 weeks hol

Overall if youa re looking for a beautiful villa, in quiet suuroudings but with some nice nightlife and sighseeing around you locally this is a definetly a great villa choose - we would definetly go backor recommend this to anyone.

Gorgeous villa, lovely relaxing holiday :-)

Left on 08/07/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We stayed at villa nayia when we came over to Cyprus for a wedding. The villa was a superb choice for our holiday, being close enough to coral bay, but in a lovely secluded area. The villa itself is beautifully presented, it was spotlessly clean, and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The information we received through holiday lettings and our contact was very useful, and I would recommend the villa, and also booking through holiday lettings.

Wonderful holiday, very relaxing, great child-friendly villa

Left on 07/04/2011 for a stay in June 2011

Off the beaten track, so a car is needed, but benefits are that it is extremely quiet and private. There are several fantastic restaurants within 5 mins drive from the villa and the local 'strip' of bars/restaurants are under 10 mins by car.

The villa itself was spotlessly clean and very child friendly. Bonus was the utility room and ground floor shower room.

Only thing we can think of to improve this villa rental would be black-out curtains/blinds in the bedrooms as the children woke very early due to the daylight coming through.

Will definitely book this villa again!!!

Restful and hassle free week away

Left on 05/14/2011 for a stay in April 2011

The main positive that stood out for this villa is its cleanliness and newish household utensils and equipment. The owner was also very easy going and friendly which made us feel at ease with the villa from the first day. This villa was also not overlooked by any neighbors and having privacy around the pool was especially relaxing.

The one drawback would be its location, but since most people would rent a car anyway to make the most of a visit to Cyprus, this would not be a big drawback

Excellent stay with 12 month old and my parents!

Left on 03/20/2011 for a stay in March 2011

Booked the villa on the basis of recommendations on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The villa is approximately 45 minutes from Paphos airport and is situated in a banana plantation. The owners played excellent host, and there were fresh bananas and oranges in the kitchen as well as a welcome pack including bread, milk, wine and butter.

It was a real treat to be told to help ourselves to the fresh grapefruit, lemons, oranges and bananas growing on the trees of the plantation.

The villa is laid out with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the top floor and a further bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. These arrangements suited us, as we shared the top floor with our baby and my parents, who are pensioners were able to use the downstairs.

The floors are tiled throughout, so bring slippers.

My only criticism (and you can tell how good the accomodation is by this) is that the knives in the kitchen needed sharpening.

A final point - we went in March, it was cold, so we paid the 100 euros air conditioning charge, which was well worth it. There is air con in each of the bedrooms. Oh, and the owner allowed us to stay over an extra 3 hours because no one was coming into the villa after us.

The photos on the website are fair and I do not hesitate to recommend the villa to anyone.

      Great holidays in villa Nayia

Left on 10/04/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We had a lovely holiday in villa Nayia. The villa is spacious, and clean. The view of the very well kept gardens and sea were much better than in the photographs. It offers enough privacy to feel almost like at home. It is also very close to the beach and several good restaurants. Owner provided excellent service before and during stay with comprehensive details on great local facilities, beaches and restaurants to visit during our stay. All in all, we would fully recommend it!

Lovely villa in a great location

Left on 10/01/2010 for a stay in September 2010

This villa is in the Sea Caves area closer to St George than Coral Bay. It's next to roughly 5 other villas and is nice and quiet, though not so secluded that you feel cut off. You're only a couple of minutes to local tavernas.
The villa is spotlessly clean. Upstairs the bedrooms had aC and were well equipped with storage. Balconies provided excellent sea views.
Downstairs had a nice lounge and well equipped kitchen area. The TV channels are local (about a dozen) and there wasn't any DVD player. However as we had brought a Playstation for the kids, this wasn't really an issue.
Outside the pool area is spacious and well maintained. The pool itself is 10x5 and is immaculate and offers basically uninterrupted sea views and is completely private, with high hedging on
There is a large gap between you and the next property providing complete coverage from any neighbours.
Just a couple of points worth noting:
      1. No a/C in the lounge - it makes the lounge area very warm at night. We asked for a fan and one was waiting for us on arrival - but its still warm and personally I feel that a/C in Cyprus in Summer is a requirement.
      2. The curtains in the bedrooms aren't "blackout". It gets very bright at around 6am. If you like a long lie in the mornings, bring a sleeping mask.
These points aside this is easily the nicest and best located villa I have stayed in Cyprus and we have been going to Cyprus for about 20 years now. The owners were very approachable and easily contactable and the owner let us stay later than the book out time (11am) on the last day as no-one else was coming to the villa that day - and didn't charge us. This was much appreciated - especially with 2 young kids in tow.
For me this villa set the standard for what I would look for in a holiday villa. We felt comfortable immediately we arrived and I look forward to returning.
