The Azzurro Villas are located in a peaceful location within a short distance of lovely fishing village of St George where you will find a quaint beach and a smattering of tavernas specialising in local cuisine.

Coral Bay, Paphos, Cyprus
What's Nearby:
Additional Location Information
Paphos is in a truly enviable location, relaxed, peaceful chic restaurants mingling with traditional tavernas, bars, shops and beautiful beaches. The heart of holidays in Paphos, has to be the pretty little harbour at Kato Paphos, famous for its resident pelicans. Lined with bars, cafes and tavernas, it's a pleasant spot to while away an hour or two with a beer or a chilled glass of ouzo. As for the rest of the resort, it's got all the trappings of a modern holiday playground, along with a generous helping of historical interest on tap.
Paphos ha sa large number of places where you can wallow in the lap of luxury, and pamper yourself with health and beauty treatments, or just find a peaceful hideaway, if you want to escape the crowds and just chill out.
Holidays in Paphos come with culture and history included. The resort is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list and there's plenty to catch the imagination of even the most experienced sightseer, including an ancient fort, some fine old churches and a heap of Roman remains, including some of the world's best preserved mosaics.
The beautiful beach resort of Coral Bay is often described as the best bay on the west of the island. And it's no surprise, when you consider the calm turquoise sea, dipping gently into some of the clearest off shore diving space in the Mediterranean, the scattered palm trees, the 600 metres of soft white sand and, in summertime, the almost cloudless blue skies.
Tourism came to the seaside village of Coral Bay later than many other Mediterranean holiday destinations, and despite its popularity the resort has retained a genuine local charm. The pace of life is very laid back and things tend to centre around the activity on the beach. You will also find lots of very friendly tavernas and restaurants selling delicious local dishes, with seafood a speciality.
The relaxing environment of the resort, the long warm days and simple pleasures of good food and beautiful views may well lull you into that perfect holiday mood. However, if you want to get up and explore, Coral Bay is a wonderful base from which to see Cyprus' best and most secluded beaches. All along this coastline you will find little sandy coves, protected by the rugged coastline, just perfect for a day trip out.
A short drive from Paphos
Coral Bay is just a short drive from the city of Paphos, once the capital city of the island. Dating back to pre-Roman times this has been a bustling city, so it is literally full of sights of archaeological interest. For example, the Tombs of the Kings is an amazing subterranean world full of hugely decorous tombs, with pillars and ancient engravings. Also of note is the Agia Solomoni church, which is still covered in some 12th Century frescos, a rare sight this far east in the Mediterranean, while according to legend the tree outside the church has healing properties. Meanwhile, the Mosaics of Paphos are considered among the finest in the eastern Mediterranean.
The Sea Caves Area
The unspoilt coastline of the Sea Caves resort is scattered with several breathtaking little sandy coves, which are the perfect spot to enjoy an evening picnic as the stunning sunsets fill the sky.
St George's Area
Also known as Ayrios Georgios, this picturesque fishing harbour is one of the island's best places to enjoy a seaside holiday. The fantastic sandy beach is popular with sunbathers and leads into a gloriously warm, clear sea. You can enjoy all sorts of seaside pastimes including snorkelling, safe bathing and even scuba diving. If that doesn't whet your appetite then the menus in the local fish tavernas certainly will. With amazing fresh local fish being hauled right into the harbour every day, the selection of fine seafood dishes is mouth watering. Our recommendation is to try a fish mezze in one of the restaurants overlooking the ocean.
Akamas National Park
Located in the west of Cyprus the Akamas National Park is possibly the most picturesque corner of the island. Covering approximately 230 square kilometers the Akamas peninsula is where you will find wild landscape, amazing natural beauty, deep gorges, and wide sandy bays. The diversity of wildlife is of outstanding ecological importance for the Mediterranean and the wide variety of fauna is certainly impressive. Here you can find 168 different varieties of birds, 12 different mammals, 20 different reptiles and 16 different species of butterfly.
The importance of the Akamas Peninsula is recognised far beyond the shores of Cyprus. The European Council has included the Akamas Peninsula within its Mediterranean protection programme and within Cyprus, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace are campaigning hard for the Akamas Peninsula to be declared a National Park.
Avakas Gorge
This impressive gorge is in the western part of the Akamas peninsula, about 5 km from Coral Bay. The linear trail through the gorge is approximately 2.5 km long with steep rocks on both sides reaching up to 80 metres in height with the narrowest point being just 3 metres wide. Deep inside the ancient gorge you will be amazed by the towering cliffs, rare plants and flowers, reptiles, wild mountain goats and delicate ecosystems.
Lara Bay
This extensive and often near-deserted sandy beach requires is accessed along several miles of un-surfaced tracks. Lara Bay is an extremely important turtle breeding ground as here you can find the green turtles and hawks-bill turtles. These turtles are on the endangered species list and Lara Bay is being made a safe haven for them as attempts are being made to provide safe sites for their egg laying.
Baths of Aphrodite
This shallow pool approximately 30 kms north of Coral Bay and approximately 6 kms from Latchi is an interesting spot to visit. The natural grotto features a caved pool surrounded by ferns and shaded by a fig tree. The water to the pool is supplied by a natural spring. According to mythology, Aphrodite used to bathe in this pond and it is here that she met her beloved Adonis for the first time. The waters here were believed to have special rejuvenating powers, and swimming here would guarantee eternal youth and beauty.
The Blue Lagoon
Accessible only by boat, the water in this small bay on the Akamas Peninsula is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. The cool and tempting waters are great for a gentle snorkel.
Nature Trails
Crisscrossed by rocky hiking trails, there are 3 official nature trails through the Akamas Peninsula, Aphrodite Trail, Adonis Trail and Smigies Trail. Hikers are rewarded with spectacular views of rock formations, huge gorges, limestone outcroppings, mis-shapen coastline and cliffs and boulders sculpted into odd shapes.

This is truly a great place to stay! The Villa is modern and very clean. We made good use of the wi-fi, swimming pool, hot tub and the table tennis table too. The Staff are friendly and the Manager too, and she helped us out with places to go and see. We would certainly come back here again. It is a quite location and a car is essential.

Booked through James Villas whose on site service was minimal and attention by rep similar.
Service, help, information and advice by azzurro on site manager, Angela, was excellent.
Location was fine just a little remote but easily overcome by car rental. Actual villa was reasonably quiet but very comfortable. Wi Fi would have been welcome and decent satellite TV coverage.
Would most certainly consider a return. -

Villa one of several on a small complex in a quiet rural location. Very clean and well equipped, comfortable and with fantastic sea and sunset views. Large swimming pool and hot tub in large pretty garden. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly management and maintenance team. We would certainly consider returning to this villa.

"A wonderfully relaxing holiday in a lovely setting."
Reviewed October 5, 2012 for a stay in august 2012
The whole family really loved the Villa and the wonderful lazy days by the Pool. We were able to enjoy a totally relaxing holiday enjoying all the facilities the Villa offered with no need to argue about who was using the bathroom next as everyone had there own. The Villa's pool and gardens were regularly attended to with no disruption to ourselves and angela was always ready to give as much help as we wanted which was greatly appreciated with arranging excursions around the island and in arranging a Birthday surprise for my Wife's special birthday which was during our stay there.
We also enjoyed the privacy the Villa gave us and how we were left alone to enjoy it, but knew help was at hand should we need it at any time.

We have stayed at this Villa complex in 2011 and 2012 and are returning in June this year. We love the villa, the location and the great facilities it has. A private pool and Hot Tub make for a fantastic holiday. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful but not obtrusive. They are there for you if you need them. The villa and its facilities are always spotlessly clean and well maintained. We are regular visitors and once you have stayed here you will become a regular too!

We had a week here Oct 2012. It's a short walk to the nearest bar and the Sunset Taverna which provided some great traditional food, wonderful flavours. Coral Bay resort is not too far away especially with a car. (work out best option - pay for airport transfers and book taxis or rent a car and be self-sufficient for very little more).
The villas themselves are very well fitted out and spacious, 3 good sized bedrooms all en-suite, fully equipped kitchen. The private pool and spa tub were very welcome. Whole heartedly recommend a stay here. Angela was very helpful to, she arranged discounts for power boat rental and lots of advice of where to visit

Our expectations were surpassed. On our arrival the villa was outstanding with it's surrounding beauty. We were warmly welcomed by the local staff who were quick to answer any queries we had. They seemed to have thought of everything we would need after our journey.
Our stay was relaxing and tranquil. The only drawback was, as we did not go in season, we could not use the pool as it was too cold. Instead we enjoyed 40 degrees in the hot tub. We also used the table tennis that was available on our patio on a daily basis. The four bathrooms were ample for our family stay and the kitchen was well equipped. Just like a home away from home!! -

Good location for a family holiday, lots of beaches within driving distance, but you will definitely need a car. Nice pool, barbecue, quiet surroundings, very friendly stuff, enjoyed our stay! Couple of small cafes nearby, or you can go to pafos (20 minutes drive) for more options.

UkraineExcellent villa for family stay
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in September 2012
Pros:
1. Very nice place to spend a quiet weekend with your friends or family. Private pool and jacuzzi will make your stay more excited.
2. I would like to notice exceptional cleanliness of the house and pool (hope it will be the same level on my next visit).
3. I enjoyed the villa for a very low price taking promotion offer on booking-dot-com
Cons:
1. Seaside is about 1,5km away, so take a car. However private pool is a good substitute.
2. Don't count on loud party all night long, you will be warned by the neighbours or administrator. -

These villas are in a great location; not far from 2 excellent restaurants and the pretty harbour/beach of St Georges.
The staff who look after the villas are excellent, eveything works and is clean. The pools are a good size and always in top condition.
In my view, the best part of Cyprus is around the akamas Penisula, so this is a good place from where to start exploring. -

Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in March 2011
The staff at azzurro were very curtious and second to none. Anything we need was looked after and always with a smile, not that we needed to look for anything as the villa was well supplied. The villa was very clean and well set out with plenty of space and all mod cons. We had our own pool and hot tub in the garden which wasn't over looked. It's in a quiet location but very convenient for the local amenities. Only a short drive away is Coral Bay, a lively, busseling little town and 10 minutes further down the road and you're into the center of Paphos. We really enjoyed our stay at azzurro Villas and would highly recommend them as a holiday base to groups and famillies alike.

Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in October 2012
After the grim English summer we were looking for some sun an a chance to relax. The azzurro Villa we rented was very well equiped both indoors and out. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The area around the Villas is well looked after and quiet. We found good local restraunts. Being right next to a nature reserve also offered some enjoyable walks.
The staff running the Villas were always friendly and polite. We will certainly consider returning. -

Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in May 2012
The villa was perfect: absolutely clean, fridge already stocked with a few provisions, lovely garden with private pool - everything you could wish for. Angela and the rest of the staff were always friendly and helpful. The villas are located in a quiet area away from the main resorts, right next to the national park. For some people it might be too quiet but for us that was a plus. Actually I can't think of a single negative point. It was the most relaxing family holiday we've had - even our 3 teenagers didn't mind the peace and quiet, and enjoyed the privacy of the pool, table tennis, hot-tub etc. The beaches in Lara bay are beautiful (though may not be accessible in the turtle-breeding season). Wonderfel walking trails in the akamas gorge. This accommodation is highly recommended for nature-lovers who also enjoy a bit of luxury.

The Villa lived up to the description, it was clean, comfortable and situated in a peaceful area near the akamas National Park. The wi-fi was excellent and allowed us to have a holiday whilst remaining in contact with my business.

A wonderful place for a quiet family holiday, away from the city. Do not come the first time and will be coming again. In November, it was very warm 28C and we swam in the sea! Wonderful helpful staff, very helpful angela. Cleaning was excellent. Akamas nature reserve around the green, odor permeated the air of pine cones and chocolate (from the banana plantations). I love this place and I will come here again and again ...

Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in September 2012
My partner and I have stayed at azzurro Luxury Holiday Villas for the past two years and on both occassions have enjoyed what can only be described as the perfect accomodation. Relaxing, private and affordable would be the best was to descibe the Villas. The Villas are well equipped within and offer superb facilities in the pool area. Staff are always on hand to respond to questions, however it should also be pointed out that privacy was respected throughout both our visits. The key question is would we go back. The answer to that question is we already have and will be looking to rebook for 2013. If you love Cyprus (and we do) we would 100% recommend the azzurro Luxury Holiday Villas.
