15% OFF LAST MINUTE STAYS FOR THE MONTH OF MAY!!!

We have just finished some renovations and refurbishing of our house.

This should improve the "humidity issue" that was present in autumn and early spring!

This lovely Cinque Terre luxury apartment in Corniglia is located in the heart of the National Park.

The property has just been totally renovated, we finished working on it in the spring of 2012.

We are constantly trying to improve our house on the basis of our guest's feedbacks and suggestions.

The rental sleeps up to four people and has a charming garden (the best place for al fresco dining and serious...Read more

    Additional Location Information

If you arrive by car you can stop in front of the house to unload and then park in the nearby public parking.

If arriving by train we are located right on the road (via alla stazione) that links the train station to the village. The village is about 600 mt. uphill from the station but there is an eco-shuttle bus available.
Outside the station you take the green shuttle bus that stops in the village, when you get off you have to walk back down the road for about 200 mt. and the house (green iron gate - Via alla stazione n° 14) is on the right hand side. Or you can ask the driver to stop and drop you off in front of the house on the way up. This is something we always do when we have luggage and usually the driver is friendly and stops. You just tell him to stop in front of our gate at number 14, the road is wider there so stopping is no problem.

In any case we strongly suggest to visit our beautiful Cinque Terre using public transportation... or by foot!
We recommend buying the Cinque Terre Card that is a very cheap way to get around and also offers other discounts!

      Au calme et bien située.

Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013

      Great stay in Corniglia CT

Left on 03/15/2013 for a stay in August 2012

The apartment and experience was wonderful!
As it turns out accommodations in CT are hard to find but I highly recommend the least touristy town of Corniglia.
The towns people were lovely and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. I was sick while there and one of the restaurant owners prepared fresh pesto & homemade pasta for me to take home. His only ask was that I return the plates and cutlery the next day - a very kind gesture indicative of the wonderful small town atmosphere in Corniglia!
Aside from being extremely hot and muggy (a tradeoff of traveling to Italy in august although not usually the case in CT) we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! I'd definitely return to 5 Terre and this apartment.
Thank you Paola and family for sharing your home

Very nice apartment in beautiful Corniglia

Left on 01/17/2013 for a stay in October 2012

Clean Quiet, and in the best bit of Cinque Terre

Left on 01/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Great little home. My husband and I fit comfortably with our toddler. Corniglia, the smallest of the towns, is a wonderful starting point for all of the hikes (you always head out down when the seaside paths are open). The people are wonderful, the few restaurants are quaint, and the views are spectacular. We were there in the winter, so didn't get to take advantage of the apartment's terrace, but loved being the only tourists in the whole town!

Small and perhaps too cosy for comfort

Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in May 2012

The photos of the apartment are rather too flattering, I felt. For a single or couple this apartment could be ok, but more than two would certainly be cramped. The second "bedroom" is in fact the small living room with an uncomfortable sofabed. Virtually no storage space for clothes. The apartment gets little sun so was rather, cold, damp and dreary in May, though the weather was very fine. The coolness could be a benefit at the height of summer. Kitchen and bahroom, both pokey. The groundfloor terrace was an uninviting backyard; the mini-terrace upstairs was reachable by steep, unsecured steps and the view only enjoyable while standing. The owners are very friendly but not resident nearby so the key was anonymously left for us with contact details for a local, who came promptly when needed because the boiler played up.
In high summer when the weather's hot, could be fine, but not recommendable for more than 2 persons in anything other than hot weather.

I completely understand and acknowledge this review.
We finished the house and began renting at the end of April 2012.
Being new in the "business" we surely had lots of faults to begin with: some photos/captions were a little misleading, some furniture was missing and other items were uncomfortable and old.
With time, and thanks to suggestions from our guests we tried to fix up things and improve our rental.
Damp and wet weather for most of May surely did not help us initially, but we tried to address also this issue with a new dehumidifier and boosting our heating plant.

Wonderful appartment equipped with everything you need and ideal

Left on 12/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I stayed at Paolos' apartment with my partner and 2 adult children in Corniglia in October 2012 . I can highly recommend this marvellous apartment. Paolo was very helpful before, during and after the stay when I lost a jacket. Even though Paolo was away at the time; she put us in contact with Gabriel who worked at a nearby Bar/restaurant who was able to answer any questions that we may have. The apartment was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom.
The kitchen was small but well equipped. The essentials like oil, salt, pepper, coffee and sugar very welcome and enabled us to cook if required.
There are several good, reasonably priced restaurants very close to this apartment so we did not cook much, but the kitchen and fridge meant that we could cook if we felt like a night in. The courtyard is small but cosy with a lovely roof terrace.
I loved this place and can highly recommend it and also Paolos management of our booking was 1st rate! Thanks Paolo and Gabriel;-)

      Perfect Getaway

Left on 11/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012

This place is in a perfect spot to enjoy all that Cinque Terre has to offer.
The rooftop patio area has a great view and is a cute little place to enjoy a meal.

The place was clean, comfortable and easy to find. Corniglia was such a great place to stay. Just a short walk to the other villages (35 minutes) and only a 7 minute walk from the train station.

Corniglia is the "quiet" village, but everything so is easily accessible.

I dream of coming back here one day.

      Lovely home

Left on 11/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012

My mother, sister and I were guests in Poala's home while travelling through Cinque Terre, back in June 2012. The home was in a great location to access the villages' amenities, restaurants and train. The residence of Corniglia were beyond friendly and welcoming and the village is the perfect midpoint to access all 5 areas of Cinque Terre. Poala's home is very close to the walking trails and a tiny local beach. The local beach was more like a pier... but if you want to tan and swim, it does the trick. The local beaches are located in Monterosso and so on.
About the apartment: It was clean, but very damp. I believe this may be the case with all homes in Cinque Terre. Just something to keep in mind while traveling to these parts. Things just did not seem to want to dry, wooden utensils and food left in cupboards were spoiled from moisture. You will benefit from using the provided dehumidifier on a regular bases. Poala had a friend greet us, he was wonderful; provided us with fresh veggies and fruits from the market and was available to answer any of our questions. There is no internet access at the house, but you can get 15 minutes free at the local bar down the street. They make killer Mojitos! There were English movies to watch which was a wonder plus!
We enjoyed our stay in Cinque Terre. It's a great place to relax and enjoy some down time. Things close early (10pm) So do not expect this to be the party portion of your trip. It's a great place to rejuvenate and unwind.

Yes, unfortunately dampness was surely an issue earlier this spring. We had a very wet month of May and this certainly didn't help.
To try and solve the issue we updated the electric dehumidifier and added a few smaller portable ones.
Furthermore we are in the process of re-painting the wall in the living room and the other small stained areas. Hopefully by adding an anti-molding agent we will resolve this issue.
Obviously as Julie correctly points out humidity cannot disappear when it's raining and weather is damp; Corniglia is by the sea and therefore it pays a price for it's beautiful setting.

The best spot on the Cinque Terre

Left on 11/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012

While we did not meet Paola we had an amazing time in Corniglia at their flat. Check in went really smoothly and we almost felt like locals as we made our way around town. The town in perfectly situated in the middle of the Cinque Terre towns and does not draw a lot of tourists so you get a real feel for the local people. The terrace is a perfect addition to the house as we spent a lot of time drinking the local wine and reading on our visit. The house was big enough for my mom, sister and I and we all hope to visit again soon. After our stay Paola immediately contacted me to ensure I had a smooth visit, also asking if anything needed to be upgraded. They obviously care a lot about the condo and that makes for a lovely experience.
