The whole experience was first class from the location which was surprisingly good. Near so many facilities. The cottage and equipment was faultless. One minor irritant was the directions when you haven't got a satnav.Don't eat at Zizzi in Falmouth terrible food and service. Would return again

The cottage is spacious and forms a couryard of other cottages varying in size. The location is quiet and peaceful. The cottage is clean and on the whole very good but a few small improvements could make a real difference. The blind on the front door was broken and did not pull down, the TV was wall mounted but not easily watchable from all areas of the lounge seating. For those who cook in the cottage the utensils were barely adequate - the knives in the block were blunt and need replacing or sharpening and more saucepans would be nice.

My wife and I stayed at Karensa with our daughter, her partner, and their baby. The apartment was faultless, the baby was angelic, we felt very lucky. Although I'm disabled, there were no problems with our (downstairs) bedroom, and the others slept upstairs. My wife swam in the pool every day and lost three pounds so she was delighted! I hope we may come back soon.

Seyssel, FranceNot at all as expected for the money.
Left on 07/02/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Difficult to get in through front door as guttering defective and a shower sprayed heavily across the entrance. Inside the carpet was flooded. The dining table had splatters of old food on it and crumbs in the gaps. The rest of the kitchen was clean. The sofas gave off a smell of food and dirt and were of a quality inconsistent with the rest of the furnishings. Clothes left in the downstairs bedroom became damp. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom was of poor quality and increasingly uncomfortable - we only stayed 4 nights out of the week booked. The cottage was facing onto a courtyard with adjoining cottages all around, with no private garden area attached - none of this was expected from the advertising. Children in neighbouring cottages had no place to play except immediately outside our front door and windows - not the quiet one had been led to expect. Parking inadequate for the number of cottages. The whole place seemed very crowded and expensive for what it was. I would not go there again, nor would I recommend it for those wanting peace and quiet, nor for those with children who need space to play - most of the courtyard being taken up with planted beds.
One of the considerations in booking this cottage was that it had a private garden area for our daughter's dog and that it had WiFi for work purposes. There was no garden area suitable for the dog and the only place WiFi worked was on the window sill of the upstairs bedroom where one would have to stand up to use it. We only discovered this by accident, and even this was incredibly slow. There was also extremely bad reception for mobile telephones, which are also necessary for my husband's work.Response from Country View Cottages - 07/21/2012

Dear Patrick
Thank you for taking the time to a write a review of the cottage, we do take all commentary seriously as we constantly want to improve our guests experience.
Unfortunately over the week that you stayed the UK experienced some very unusual wet weather that caused flooding and much disruption, we were unaware of your problems with the guttering and flooding and this is not something we have ever had issues with before, had you brought it to my attention our maintenance team would have been sent down to rectify the problem or perhaps we could of offered you another cottage. I have also addressed your comments on cleanliness with our head housekeeper but I would like to add something we have never had commented to us before.
Your comments on the facilities of the barns I feel are quite inaccurate perhaps you were unable to appreciate what is at Tresooth because of the terrible weather and for the benefit of other customers reading this I would just like to clarify that as advertised the cottages are situated around around a large enclosed courtyard which is safe for children and pets, there are planted beds which we feel are an asset to the courtyard and gives guests some privacy from other barns.
We do not advertise private gardens anywhere on our listing so perhaps you got this confused with another property, there is enough parking for 2 cars for every barn, WIFI is readily available for free for all guests in the games room which is stated on the property description.
You have said that there was no-where for children to play and dogs to walk, there is a 2 acre private meadow with uninterrupted country views adjacent to the car park which has swings, slide and trampoline. A woodland walk with white doves that we have reared, an enclosed pond area with fish, a large outdoor heated pool and a games room with free games for the children.
Most of our guest comments in our comments book mention how peaceful it is at Tresooth and how wonderful our facilities are for the children.
I am truly sorry that you did not enjoy your holiday, and I wish you all the best
Kind regards
Emily

Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We booked three cottages, Karensa, Trelawany and Newlyn for a group of 20 people over the New Year period. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and finished to a really high standard with all mod cons. There is a lovely pool area(obviously closed in December)with a Jacuzzi and Sauna which we thoughly enjoyed using. There was a games room with table tennis and pool and a vast array of Dvds to borrow during your stay.We had a problem with one of the showers when we arrived but after making one phone call the problem was sorted within half an hour. You can't ask for better service than that. We had a great time and would certainly recommend staying at Tresooth cottages. We will definitely be returning.
