Here you will find a host of shops, bars and restaurants, the award winning National Maritime Museum and Trebah Gardens which is not to be missed. A beautiful cottage, perfectly equipped for our family stay. Beautiful garden for our 21month old son to play safely in, lovely open plan space and perfect kitchen for self catering. Ideal spot for exploring Swanpool nature reserve and beach and a short drive to Pendennis Castle, and Falmouth. Would have liked a pub nearby within walking distance but the garden was perfect to relax and have a drink and BBQ in!

We booked ash Cottage (of Pennance barns) as a central location to travel to various attractions around cornwall.
Alot of holiday homes can feel cold and unwelcoming but not ash cottage, its a georgeous conversion, it feels very homely,comfortable and a home from home, we didnt want to leave. The furniture is excellent quality, decor tasteful, rooms comfortable and clean and overall well equipt.
Ash cottage belongs to a small group-like/cul-de-sac of other barn conversions which from the outside all appear to look equally nice, with plenty of parking also.
We combined our stay to celebrate our baby's 1st birthday, the only very small and nit- picky problem we had was that we could not have his cot in the 2nd bedroom as the door handle and floors of the room creaked a little too loudly which would wake him up upon leaving, so we eventually had him sleep in our main room, but this was just a minor issue and not a problem for adults staying.
We would definately recommend ash cottage to anyone interested and would love to return one day again. The staff and owners have provided lovely holiday accommodation.Response from Country View Cottages - 05/10/2012

large enclosed garden great for dogs. fantastic bathroom with complementary toiletries. comfortable bed.beaches within walking distance. minor problem[faulty smoke alarm] sorted promptly.clean and well equipped.
