We really enjoyed the location of this house. It was situated between Duck and Corolla - with both towns featuring nice amenities including a theater and mini golf. The house was close to the beach and the community pool was across the street, which made everything seem just a few steps away.

This house was alittle small for 12 people. Mostly we needed another refridgerator. The pool was nice and the boardwalk to the beach was fine but it was about 5 or 6 houses away from the beach. The price was great but you get what you pay for. The screened in porch was the best feature but some of the screens were missing or ripped. This didn't keep the bugs out. This was our 5th year in the Outer Banks and the real estate company was very nice. Can't wait to go back but I would pick a different house.

First, I apologize for not responding earlier. We enjoyed our stay at Trade Winds. It suits our families (2, total of 8 people) very well. We really enjoy the pool and the music outside. We also love that it is close to the beach. We might be looking for something closer to the beach next year but we have always had good times and memories with Trade Winds. Thank you Outer Banks Blue for another memorable vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Trade Winds. The screened in porch was a nice
addition. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. The size of the house was
ideal for our group of 12 which were all teens and adults. Our only frustration
was that none of the decks connected to the other deck levels, ground level or
pool area. Therefore, it was a lot of in and out of the house in order to go
from the pool to the hot tub.

We had a great time during our stay at Trade Winds. The house was clean and
decorated beautifully. The kids loved the pool and the walk to the beach
wasn't far at all. I would recommend this home to others.

This was our first vacation in a beach home, and now we are spoiled! The house was beautiful and spacious, and tastefully decorated in a beach theme. My family of five (including three active boys) arrived on Saturday May 31, and stayed for one week. We could not really see the ocean from the house, except for a tiny strip of blue from the balcony which was mostly hidden by other large houses. However, the walk to the beach only took about 2 minutes, on a wooden path that connected to the back door of the enclosed pool deck. The beach was clean and not very crowded (but the water was still cold!). We had wonderful weather, warm and sunny.
We all LOVED the private heated pool! However, when we arrived the pool was frigid and the hot tub was cold too. We called the rental office but they were closed for the day. They sent someone out on Sunday (the next day) who turned the heat on in the pool. However, the hot tub had a broken part and it did not get repaired until almost the end of our vacation, so we were not able to use it much. Other than that, I was happy with the rental company. The keyless entry was a great convenience.
The kids all loved having their own rooms, and their own TV's in many of the rooms. We all enjoyed having breakfast on the enclosed patio. I relaxed on the front patio at night after the kids were in bed (you could hear the ocean).
There were a few things about the house that could have used attention (other than the cold pool/hot tub) but it was not enough to put a damper on our vacation. The window blinds were a bit mangled. Some of the carpet looked a little worn/dirty. The grill was yucky. The fan on the enclosed patio was not working. Otherwise, we found the home to be clean and well stocked with all the comforts of home. This was one of the nicest family vacations we have ever had. Enjoy!
Wonderful - but issues with air conditioner and pool

The house setup was perfect for my family - the issues with the air conditioner and pool were a considerable porblem as it was unseasonably warm and there were 3 folks over 70 from Florida and so the heat was a major problem. We did not get a good feel or consideration from the rental folks or the owner! I would have to say I probably would not rent this unit again. I know the other folks were extremely disappointed with the response of the agency.

We stayed in this house for our first ever 2-week vacation. We greatly enjoyed it, but it was a little too far to the beach for us. It was 900ft from the beach, which was not as close as the website said it was.

We did not have a pleasant experience. The house was very dirty. The cleaning crew had to come back 2 additional times. The floors were nasty, crumbs everywhere, hairs in the bedsheets, hairs all over the bathroom floors. Food was under the living room furniture, and dishes put away dirty. There were still coffee grounds in the coffee pot. The dishwasher, TV and washing machine did not work that well. Our first day there was waiting for the cleaning crew to come, which was a waste. The house is also not well equipped compared to our stay last year for less money.
