The check in/check out process was beyond easy. The location and the views from the home are the best parts of the home. The bedrooms were great sizes and the mattresses were pretty comfortable. The elevator was a a big help while unloading.
The home definitely needs some attention though from what we saw during our stay. -

The property was spectacular. We will be back next year. And the excellent weather guarantee is worth the extra $. -

The house is oceanfront with very good views from the 3rd floor and nice views from the 2nd level. Except as noted below, the house itself is well equipt for a group of 18 or so, with enough bathrooms and plenty of eating space. The breakfast booth adjacent to the kitchen was great for kids. The den off the dining area has sliding glass doors that can be closed to facilitate using the space for office purposes while still monitoring activities in the dining area. The inside of the house was very clean upon arrival. The Blue Ribbon Program from Outer Banks Blue was great, providing some initial supplies and giving early access when the cleaning staff was through. Another Outer Banks Blue advantage we loved was the keyless check-in, which got us into and out of the property effortlessly. The pool was very spacious and there were plenty of lounge chairs on the pool deck.
On the negative side: 1) No wireless internet. We needed to use aircards and go through our phone providers. 2) The decks both around the house and pool were in need of maintenance. We had several splinters (some pretty nasty) during the course of the week. Additionally, there was at least one old, rusty metal piece that was exposed on the back of a deck railing (perhaps old flagpole holder) and a few places with loose nails on the deck. 3) outdoor cleaning lagged significantly behind the house with the storage room housing the extra refridgerator needing a good cleaning, the outdoor showers and lav were also in major need of cleaning and there was litter from the prior guests around the pool deck (beer bottles etc.). 4) there was only 1 DVD player in the house, which was not good for afternoon/evening movie time when we needed multiple shows for older/younger kids. -

House was beautiful. Huge windows, great decks and hot tub. We did have problems with washer and with TV, but it was fixed quickly. Wish there was a solar cover to pool as it was not heated and was too cold to use most of the days we were there. Elevator was very helpful in bringing groceries in. Mattress for crib was a thin pad, not really a mattress. Had to layer blankets to make it comfortable.

The house was not maintained the way we thought it should be. The A/C return was held up with a piece of cardboard. The TV remotes on the 1st and 2nd floor were leaking battery acid and held in with duck tape. Overall we had a very good stay. I should also say that these issues were very small but we thought when you pay so much for a week things should be close to perfect.
Outer Banks Blue has wonderful customer service and I thought the keyless entry was awesome. -

This home is a little on the older side. However the views are spectacular and the pool is really great. We also enjoyed it's location to shopping and restaurants. That being said, if you aren't in it for the ocean and spend a lot of time in the home you may want to look for something newere.

Our group had a wonderful time at Over_Seas in Corolla. The decking and beach access was awesome, especially for those with mobility issues. Also, the elevator made moving from floor to floor very convenient. The location was terrific and view was great!
Overall, we felt that the house needed some repairs and was not as clean as we expected it to be, but we stayed at the end of the season so perhaps...?
If the care needed was given, I believe we would stay at Over_Seas again.
