Stayed here in 2011 & are headed back this august. The house is perfect for our family--ages 3 months to 65 years. Enough rooms to have quiet time and enough room to all be together. Can't think of anything else the owners (or Outer Banks Blue) could have provided. Well stocked kitchen. Loved the pool & short walk to the ocean. Having trouble climbing stairs, the elevator was wonderful for me--but we didn't realize how much help it would be bringing up luggage, groceries & dinner from the gas grill! The only thing I can think of that could have made our vacation better (other than another week!), would've been if check in time was earlier (even if that meant checking out earlier).

The house was immaculate with the exception of a couple small things that you would would expect with a rental house. Loved the area and quite calmness that came with it. Would love to come back next year and do it agian.

This is our 4th yr coming to OBX and we stayed for the first time at Its a Shore Thing and loved it! The house was perfect for us! The pool was beautiful, the elevator was a godsend in getting bags and groceries upstairs, and the rooms were all spacious and comfy! We loved the movie collection and enjoyed a really short walk to the beach! We were impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We can't wait to come back again next year!

"It's a Shore Thing" was an incredible vacation home for our family reunion. The entire family relaxed in this spacious home. The decor was tasteful. It had everything we needed including spices for the chefs in the family. The elevator was a God send for some of the older relatives in our family. We spent most of our time at the pool because the ocean water was too cold. The entire family had a great time from age 2 up to 72. The only complaint I heard during the vacation from my family was concerning that terrible traffic jam on our way to the island. We would have arranged our travel time differently had we know how bad it would be getting to Corolla on Saturday afternoon. Other than that, it was fantastic!

It's a Shore Thing was a great house, and we would definitely recommend this house to travelers. Perfect distance to the beach, great accommodations inside the house. The owners provided everything for us. There was one problem with a DVD player and Outer Banks Blue sent someone out the next day without hesitation. One minor thing: the outside bathroom by the pool wasn't clean, but we used the bathroom inside the house when we were by the pool.

We traveled with 3 college friends and their families--10 children ranging in age from 3 months to 12 years and everyone had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and the house had everything we needed and some things we did not expect to find! I only wish they took 4 legged guests because we would return every year!

When we arrived for our week vacation at the Outer Banks, the weather was less than ideal. We had 4 days of high winds and on and off rain. The house we rented was wonderful. It's proximity to the beach was a big plus. There were 17 of us in the house and we never felt confined. We made much use of the pool and hot tub. It was nice to have the elevator to unload and load our kitchen supplies and luggage. Having the ping pong table and other games to play kept everyone busy. All things being said, we had an enjoyable week at 'It's A Shore Thing'. The one thing I would like to see provided is a basketball hoop for the kids.

We have stayed in this house numerous years for our summer vacation and our whole family loves it for lots of reasons. First of all it's beautifully decorated and has everything you need including a computer, a swimming pool, a hot tub and even bikes in the garage. It's close to the beach but fairly private and the numerous decks allow you to find a quiet nook to read in or just take a breath. Also, the elevator allows our 85 yr old father mobility.
The house was clean and there were plenty of towels. When we had a problem with the disposal, a very nice guy (I forget his name) came and unclogged it.
We had another wonderful week in the Outer Banks and look forward to renting "It's a Shore Thing" again next July. -

The beach house was beautiful and the beach access was only steps away from the house. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of appliances and utensils. TVs, DVDs and internet were available. We wanted to stay another week!

Our service was wonderful and the property contained everything that was listed. We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family of 15 and made many memories for our grandchildren. The floor plan worked very well and everyone had their privacy. The kitchen was very well equiped for any type of menu. The location was ideal and I would recommend this rental to everyone.

Our family joined together in fun at the Outer Banks. "It's A Shore Thing" that the memories we created at this house will last forever.
The house is well equipped with everything that one needed to create a gourmet meal or just plain hot dogs. There is ample space for everyone to play a game of Charades in the living-dining area or take a quiet rest on one of the decks. The pool area gave everyone a rest from the sandy beaches. The ocean, once again, gave us the awesome feeling that God is still in control.

This was a wonderful family home! The location was terrific and close to the beach. We were surprised at the furnishings esp. in the kitchen. The home had all of the beach essentials. Each "family group" was able to have privacy and private deck space. The hot tub and pool were wonderful.

This was the third time I have stayed in this house and just love it. It has great beach location for the price. It is such a short distance to the beach and the cost is perfect. I really like that the house is in a cul-de-sac and there is no thru traffic, great for the kids. Also, the pool is the best, love the bench in the deep end. I have been going to OBX for the past six years and stayed in several different places, twice in Pine Island, and this house has the best pool of any place we stayed. Has everything you need in the house and wonderful owners!
