The house was as pictured, clean comfortable, pool and hot tub were nice. Our main problem was hurricane Irene which delayed us from getting to our house until Tues, instead of Sat. Now I probably should have purchased the insurance but I booked only 30 days ahead and had every intention of going no matter what. I guess the problem I have is that it seems that the renter is the only one who loses when there is a natural disaster or problem. Noone lost but us, not the owner or rental agency just us. Even if we were given a credit, or an extra day or something, but no. We lost 3 nights , almost half of our trip and were saddled with the entire financial loss, no one else lost out. That seems a little unfair to me.

Thanks for your post on this property. I hope you enjoyed your stay at the home as it is a wonderful location and house.
The situation regarding the hurricane is a matter of state law and is in no way an issue of us trying to take advantage of our valued guests. We do have about an 80% take up rate on travel insurance during hurricane season and we try very hard to get all of our guests to consider purchase of this safety net.
We do apologize for your discontent in this situation and we will discuss possible remedies with the homeowner to see if there is anything else that can be done in this situation.
We look forward to serving you for a full week's stay next time around!

The location was perfect proximity to the beach. The house was clean, although the furniture was not very comfortable. Also we could not swim in the pool the first two days as there were no lights on. The electrician came and tried to fix them but the breaker kept shorting, so we did not use the pool or hot tub in the evening after dark.

I rented a vacation beach house from 08/15 to 08/22 and was promised a nice and clean place to stay. When we arrived into the house, we found a totally filthy place. The carpet and sofa were filthy, there were blood spots on the bed covers, pubic hair under the bed sheets and bathrooms without toilet paper and dust, dirty towels on the floor. The place was so dirty that we could not even sit on the sofas, so we left. I called them and at the beginning they apologize and one of their managers recognized that that house was the worse in their inventory, but their only solution was to clean it and put me back into that filthy and deteriorated house, I refused and asked for my full refund then some other manager named Patrick contact me and refused to give me any refund stating that what should I expect for a $2400 home…..That issue totally ruined my vacation time and in top they did not recognize their fault.

Our vacation home was perfect for our family. It was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful deck. We were thrilled that the home was dog friendly as all the children were so happy our dog Bailey could join us. We had beautiful weather. We were close to town and enjoyed taking a jeep tour to see the wild horses. The beach was gorgeous. Aside from the terrible traffic on Saturday, it was a perfect vacation.

this is our second year renting this house and we hope to be back next year . we have everything we need at our home away from home. our two year old loved the bunkbeds and the toys that were in her room. thanks again see you in 2010
