Wow! This home is not only beautiful and spacious but also probably the most well equiped vacation rentals I have ever stayed! This home has everything! I actually brought a crock pot along with me because all of the rentals I have stayed before never has a crock pot. And low and behold, there was a working crock pot in the cabinet. I especially loved the ice maker in the kitchen since we use so much ice and we never ran out. We had some bad weather for a day or two and we had to stay indoors. There were plenty of games, puzzles and movies so we were never bored. The pool table was a bonus. The kids had a blast in the outside pool. Also, the short walk to the beach was a blessing. On a personal note. The family photos sitting around the house gave us a feeling of home.

This is our third year in a row renting this home so obviously we like it. The house doesn't have the best curb appeal but is adorable inside. It was great having a pool to go into whenever we wanted but it is timr to update the outdoor furniture. The patio umbrella blew away and broke when we were here in 2010 and was never replaced. The house can't be beat for price and location. We had 8 kids and they loved the downstairs with the 2 bunk rooms and the pool table. The 4 mid-level bedrooms are terrific and the upstairs living area is clean and bright. We had 3 families in this house and all had so much fun. We spent our days on the beach and even went back at night ghost crabbing! My one big suggestion to the homeowners is to please examine all of the spindles on the deck railing and to secure them because many are not secured and we worried that a small child could fall through. This house is in a terrific location with Harris Teeter only 1 mile away for groceries and Tim Buck 11 Shopping Center only 2 miles away which has cute shops and restaurants.

We had a great time relaxing at Beach Baums. The house was wonderful. The beach was a short walk away and the pool was excellent. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and the view from top deck and great room was beautiful. Caught fish on the beach and had plenty of parking for 4 cars and a boat. Super vacation and hopefully we'll be back again soon.

We were pleasantly surprised at how close the house was to the beach -- just a short walk over the dunes. Its overall location was perfect, as it was only a short drive to shopping, restaurants and movies. There was ample room for our 11 people. In fact, one bedroom went completely unused. Loved having a TV in every room. Pool and hot tub were great. This was our first time in the OBX and we had a wonderful time -- would definitely rent this house again.

The house had a few quirks, but all-in-all this was a terrific value for the cost. Very close to the beach access. We never felt uneasy leaving our belongings on the beach for any period of time. Even though the pool leaked (requiring the addition of water each day), and even though the hot tub did not work for the first 4 days, we would definitely rent this property again. The agency was great to deal with and addressed our concerns rapidly. For being this close to the beach and having 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, this was a great deal for us. The home had everything we needed to make this a great first experience to the Outer Banks. Thanks!

We have been going to the Outer Banks for 10 years and this was our favorite vacation so far. We picked this house because of the price, proximity to the beach and amenitied listed. I was a bit nervous because the pictures made it appear smaller and not as updated as we are used to but we were pleasantly surprised once we arrived. The house is adorable! We arrived several hours before check-in and could not get into the house even though it had already been cleaned(we peaked in the windows!)so we went to the nearby Tim Buck II Shopping Center to use the restrooms and let the kids play on the swingsets. What a great shopping center. They have everything from go-carts to t-shirt shops to nice restaurants. We went with friends who had never been to the Outer Banks before and they loved it! We had a total of 6 children(ages 2 1/2 to 11) and they were thrilled with all of the movies and board games in the upstairs closet. The weather was perfect the entire week except for a few nights of rain but it never fazed us because it was when we were sleeping. The house is located in Ocean Sands which is only 2 miles from the grocery store. We spent the majority of our time lounging at the beach while the kids played in the water and we couldn't have been any closer. We were the 3rd house from the beach. The pool was great for afternoons. The house could use some additional outdoor seating both by the pool and on the decks. We also would have liked some bikes but ended up renting them for the week. Overall, it was a blissful week of sitting on the beach listening to the ocean while reading books and hanging out with great friends!

Beach Baums was close to the beach without oceanfront prices. The Sunday rental was nice because there was a lot less traffic. I will continue to rent from OBX Blue - loved the keyless entry and having beds made.

We had a wonderful time last week at the Beach Baums. Various members of our family celebrated their 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries.
The only drawback was to get to any good putt putt courses or go cart tracks, you had to trek down to Nags Head which is a good 45 minute drive. The go cart track in Corolla is not worth the money. The really good go cart track is a good 20 minutes south of Nags Head.
If your family just wants to chill on the beach or at the pool, this is the place. Very short walk to the beach and not very crowded. Lifeguard is on duty. The beach house had plenty of TVs so family members would not have to fight over the TVs (If you have kids 9 years and older you know what I mean). The gas grill is exellent. The pool and the hot tub were great.
We also recommend The Good Egg Restaurant in Corolla and the TimBuck II Shopping Center in Corolla. The best putt putt course is Lost Treasure in Nags Head (they have two courses).

The location of the home was ideal. We expected the house to be newer inside (especially since the ad said newly renovated). It was evident in one of the master bedrooms that there was a water leak. The stains of the water leak are still there. That was very unfortunate.

My whole family and I had a wonderful time this summer. We could choose stay at the pool or walk to the beach. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. There were plenty of pots and pans and the ammenities needed to make a wonderful vacation. Thanks for the great memories.

We had 8 adults and 6 young kids stay at Beach Baums for a week and even and it was great. It had all of the amenities we could ask for--having the pool was awesome for the young kids, as well as the basketball hoop, TVs, pool table, and the Internet was key too because some of us had work to do on occasion etc... The place gets extra high marks because it was SPARKLING CLEAN, got wonderful natural light, it was spacious and was for all intents and purposes right on the beach, which also was great for those kids!

We loved this house! It is clean and open - perfect for two families with a total of 12 people! The location was just right - less than 2 minutes from the beach. The house is close to the grocery store for those inevitable quick trips. We loved this house and the kids have talked about it ever since. You can feel the love and care the owners put into this house. I highly recommend it if you are going to the outer banks!

This house was well suited for a large
family. Located in a cul-de-sac, it was
wonderful for the kids to take up a game
of baseball or kickball at night. It is
such a short walk to the beach that we
came home for lunch every day. Nice
accommodations, very cozy. We would rent

The house was large, comfortable, clean in a quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment (multiple refrigerators), nice food store local. Plenty of bathrooms, and an outside shower. Washer and dryer was nice. Multiple large decks with chairs and a hammock. Many t.v.'s. There is plenty of activities to keep all age groups entertained for an entire week. We did bring our own Wii. House provided many board games, videos, pool, grill, pool table etc. Just enough site seeing to get folks out of the house for a change of pace. The area is not overly commercialized. I recommend bringing the 4x4 and going north and drive on the beach to look for horses!!! Short walk to great family oriented beach.

My extended family love this house. Sheets and towels provided, is a huge plus!!! It is 3rd row back with beach view. The home is very close to the grocery store as well. The commercial ice machine in the kitchen is a nice touch. While at the beach a cold drink is right at your finger tips. The multiple TVs, video selection, and game room, are added bonuses for all our age groups. Key less entry allows late arrivals access to the house while the rest of us are at the beach. Just text the code. This was our second year renting this house, hopefully we can return for a third.
