  Lovely house in great family location

  This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and will not be our last. We were concerned that after Irina the house would be a mess, but on the whole it was great. There was some minor damage to a couple of screens, but otherwise the house is in great condition and was clean.
  The beach is a short, safe walk from the property and, in September, it never got very busy the whole time. There is a supermarket 5 minutes drive away and a number of restaurants in the area (the good ones require booking a table). The kitchen has the basics but bring your own chopping boards, condiments etc if you plan on cooking.
  Unfortunately the previous renters had used the play area as kennel for their dog and it was full of excrement. We called the management company, Outer Banks Blue, who apologized and said they would send someone over. We called again the next day but no one ever did come. That's a shame because it's a nice house and the response of the management company to our one small problem is the only thing that would make me think twice about using it again.
