Proximity to town, shopping, restaurants was fabulous. The pool was a great addition to this property. It was a pretty good hike to the beach for some of our older folks but the road is not busy and it gave us an opportunity to greet more neighbors. Our family enjoyed this home.

We normally stay in Duck but this year, stayed in Corolla at Corolla Hideaway. Resort Realty was very good and professional - no glitches. House was nice and it's location was great- plenty to explore easily on a bike and the little coffee shop/bar across the road was very cute. We could hear traffic noise from the road (2 houses from the road) but of course, nothing can change but the location of the house is a bit of a walk to the beach. The decks were wonderful- enjoyed our morning coffee out there and even used the hot tub. House was fine but could use a little touch up- screen on screened in porch was torn anf house exterior looked dingey. Inside was better. Kitchen was a nice size and living room furniture looks new. We had a great time with the family overall. Beach was very lovely, wide and lots of shells!
Nice house, backyard privacy, great location.

Checkin was very quick at Resort Realty which was great since the traffic was awful getting there. This is an older home but it has been maintained fairly well. The only issue I see is they need to update the lighting and bath fixtures. They work fine, they just make the home look dated, since they appear to have been there since it was built. There were a few loose screens and a few pieces of siding missing, but everything else was fine. There were games, a nice ping pong table to play outside underneath the house, and a foosball table too. The backyard is somewhat secluded by trees all around so it was a great place to walk our dog. Also would be a nice area for kids to play. It is across the street from a small grocery store/gas station, a pizza place, ice cream, and a small bar which played live music two nights. Beach is not a terrible walk and no roads to cross. The only bad thing that happened was too much chemical was put in the hot tub and you could not breathe in there afterwards. We could not use it for two days.

We enjoyed our vacation tremendously!! Our stay at the Corolla Hideaway was great. The house was everything we read on the website. Secluded & beautiful!! Resort Realty did an awesome job of letting us know exactly what we needed to bring & they were there a cpl times during the week to bring clean towels. Having a washer & dryer was great. It was definitely a great experience & I would rent from them again!!
It was great!

We have rented Corolla Hideaway for two years now and have been very happy with it. We love the location. Private street and short walk to the beach and we love seeing the lighthouse from the upstairs deck. Perfect view. Corolla seems so peaceful and a great place to get away and relax. The beach is close and not very crowded so we enjoy walking and spending time by the water. The house is clean but we did notice some of the appliances in the kitchen were not cleaned before we got there. The previous occupants probably did not clean everything as they should have before they left but it makes the kitchen feel a little dirty to cook and work in. Other than that we have no complaints about the house. We would rent it again if we get the chance to get to Corolla sometime again.

Everything was great. I did not give 5 stars because there will always be room for improvement. The only think we weren't sure of was exactly when the trash and recycled items went out. There were also a lot of mosquitos, perhaps from the ditch full of water across the street from the house.

The house was nice enough, but we had two unexpected visits from the owner in three days. Once to get something out of their shed, and once with a Pool Company to discuss installing a pool in the back yard. We also had to have maintenance come out to fix the front screen door that would not close and several light bulbs (unreachable without a ladder) that we thought were out, were actually unscrewed!

We had a wonderful week staying in this house. Our prerequisites when searching for a vacation rental this year were: pet friendly, outdoor shower and at least 2 full baths. This met all of the above. There is a nice little backyard so that our dogs could run around although it is not fenced in. The large decking is awesome although our 3 year old did get splinters in his feet before we made him put his shoes on when going out on it. The hot tub is very nice. My parents stayed with us so having two full baths was required. The bathroom downstairs has only one sink. The bathroom upstairs is jack-and-jill style with the two bedrooms. These are things that the online ad didn't tell us. Other than that, the kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishware. The living room is comfortable and the bedrooms were fine. This house met all of our needs for me, my husband, our 11 year old, our 3 year old and my parents. I think the worst part about it was having to walk down the street to the beach but we knew that was the situation before renting it so we weren't surprised, it was just a little harder than I expected. :)
