Beau's Sandcastle is simply an amazing house. close to everything and a nature preserve to look out on gave us views of foxes, deer and a resident Osprey that was just awesome.

The online pictures of Beau's Sandcastle do not do the house justice. It is much nicer and perfectly clean. The neighborhood was quiet--even during July 4th week. The ocean view was great, the wildlife on the dunes was surprising! All 9 of us thoroughly enjoyed our week at the OBX.

The house was very clean, everything worked, we had nothing to think about but enjoy our vacation. The location was good, away from the crowd but close to shops. With ocean views from a large upper deck, the experience was overall very enjoyable.

Beau's Sandcastle was a wonderful home in a wonderful location! The walk to the beach is very short, just a couple of minutes, which is one of the reasons this home is in such a lovely location. Beau's is also backed by a large un-built up area where we enjoyed watching wildlife roam and had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the shore as well. The pool and hot tub were terrific, and the home was well-maintained and furnished tastefully and comfortably.
Unfortunately, the housekeeping left a bit to be desired. There was sand and dust in places where it ought to have been dusted and vacuumed. The stairs, for instance, looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in ages! Thankfully though, the bathrooms and kitchen seemed to be neat and tidy.
One other small detriment to the home was the internet service. The agency/owners might want to check into the router and wireless which worked only intermittently and needed to be repeatedly rebooted. Further, we could only use wireless access by physically hooking up one of our macbooks and turning network sharing via the macbook on. Internet access was very important to us b/c of our daughter needing to spend some time in her cyber school, and b/c I was hoping to use the week to train my parents on the use of their new iPad.
Other than that, we loved Beau's Sandcastle, and would definitely recommend it to others or rent it again if we were ever to head back to Corolla. (We are Hatteras Island vacationers normally.) Lastly, we really appreciated the check-out procedure of making a phone call and leaving the keys next to the phone! Thank you for a lovely week!

Could no go because of hurricane. Had to eat a weeks vacation and rental fees. It was painful on all economic fronts. But hey thanks for asking again. For the fourth time.

Overall we loved this house. The house was spacious, well kept and up to date. We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner on the back deck with the great views of the dunes and ocean. No reason to eat out. Pool was good and the kids loved swimming in it. It was difficult getting internet access. There was an issue with the hot tub. We continually had to reset the circuit breaker.

Beautifully maintained home, nicely decorated and stocked with plenty of beds despite having only 4 bedrooms. Plenty of clean baths. Short walk to beach (but must travel through a little brush/sand area.) Have been renting in Corolla/Duck area a long time, this rental rates near the top for price value vs. our needs.

when planning our vacation with friend, we had a number of criteria to be met. We wanted to be as close to the beach as possible for our price range, the rental house had to be comfortable for the number of people we had, including sleeping arrangement, bathrooms, and room to "spread out". We also had to be on a lifeguarded beach. And we wanted a "beachy feeling" house. Beau's sandcastle met all of our criteria to perfection!! And the pool was an added bonus which we enjoyed thoroughly!! The jellyfish invasion and shark attack in Ocracoke was not the greatest, but all in all we had a great time and cant wait to go back!!

Beau's Sandcastle was clean and well equipped. Location was great - close to beach - easy walk. View of ocean was great too. Wish house had wireless internet, Had to purchase USB cord from ace to hook up to router. Would definitely rent this house again!!

53rd year my family has been vacationing on the Outer Banks. 6 Houses rented in Ocean Sands section D. Every year there are discussions regarding moving to another location on the Outer Banks. We are unable to find a better place.
Beau's SandCastle is one of the nicer places we have stayed. Very comfortable and plenty of room. Short stroll to the beach. -

The house was lovely and comfortable. Location fabulous. Only complaint - we had to buy all our own soap - dish soap, hand soap. We had to buy our own toilet paper too! For the price of the house some staples should be stocked, such as dish and hand soap and toilet paper. Then, we had to buy our own garbage bags for the garbage can in the kitchen. I hate being nickeled and dimed like that. Certain elements should be in the house, especially toilet paper and trash bags.

Our family enjoyed the stay. We liked the proximity to the beach and the privacy this property offered. We only had one issue with Internet service. The description for the house had internet service listed, but as it turned out there was no wireless router. We had to buy one for Internet access. Overall, we had a very good time and will strongly consider booking it again in the near future.

We loved the house-it was just steps to the beach. The pool and hottub were great and on nice evenings-fabulous beach and sunset views. Inside the house was spacious and nicely decorated-not cluttered at all. Stayed there with 2 families(4 adults and 6 kids).
The kids loved the bunk bed room. Would definitely stay here again. -

Great place with enough room to spread out. Over all appearance was very good. The Realty Company was great for chech in. The downstairs TV room got a mildew odor at times--believe it came from the pull out couch.

Interior of this rental was spacious, well kept and clean. Great floorplan, view and beach access. Exterior was not well kept (weeds, pine needles all around pool deck) Could not use pool for 3 days due to pump problem.

The house was very nice. It had great views and was a short walk to the ocean. The house had amenities that made the week go very smooth. It had extras such as koozies, corn on the cob holders, sand toys and chairs. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. We had 3 families staying there and had plenty of room. Great location, close to grocery store and other places. Short drive to attractions in Corolla. Would definetly stay at this house again.
