This is the second summer we have stayed at Corolla Sunrise and we could not be happier with this home. We plan to come back again next year! It is perfect for our family, just a shot walk to the beach, plenty of space inside and out. We love it there. The location can not be matched. So happy with this home!
This house offers many of the things we look for when we visit the beach. In addition to being a well equipped home, spacious, excellent
pool and very near the beach. Have stayed there for over 12 years. The only down fall is the many stairs for older citizens.

This is the third year we rented Corolla Sunrise, however, this year we did have a few problems, electric, wi fi (one week service out), tv's (MBR did not work at all for two days, then only 4 stations for two days. Other than that, we intend to come back next year. Nice house, love the location. We will be back!

The property management service was well organized & the new home owners (nice people) called on check-in day to see if we found the place in order. The 1 grandparent, 3 parents, & the many 20-somethings attending were all thrilled about the size & layout of the house, it's proximity to the beach, the hot-tub, decks, ample parking, "game loft", well equipped kitchen, & more. Corolla is peaceful, (especially in early May)the last town on the road north from Kitty Hawk. Some of the shops still closed,(restaurants, groceries, & many tourist shops were open) but we weren't there to shop, & there was almost no traffic. The Crown Point area is peaceful (except for some pre-season construction & maintenance in the neighborhood, an acceptable trade for the early season discounted rates), very clean, & well kept. The Heritage Park & Lighthouse are also very nice. "Corolla Sunrise" is warm & inviting, the top-floor open kitchen/living space was perfect for all of us to share meals together & good times comfortably.

The blinds in master bedroom were broken. Mold issue on ceiling in main living area above vaulted ceiling, looks like damage from hurricanes that wasn't fixed properly.
Bathroom floor was not cleaned in master bedroom on top floor.

This house was great for us. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, tennis courts and the short walk to the beach. It was also very convenient to shopping. There was some missed cleaning spots upon check-in and I would have liked to know that there were chairs and umbrellas as the house, so I wouldn't have had to rent them. We all enjoyed our first trip to the Outer Banks!

The only problem was the bedroom down stairs with pryamid, bunks with trundles. You couldn't use trundles if you wanted to because most of floor space was taken up with foosball game. Room was very cramped. Was a very poor set up of down stairs. Wasn't really any room to utilize pool table. Would have been better if that space had one of the pryamid beds in it. Do not know why childrens rooms are always on lower level away from adults.

A wonderful family week in a great location. House is well equipped, plenty of space for all, ;ovely decks, a good pool, tub and community tennis.
Wish we'd taken our own bikes (although it said they had them - there were only 2 very old ones) and also portable grills as there was no gas grill and the two charcoal ones were old and dirty so we didn't use.
We have stayed at this property 10 out of the past 12 years and have always enjoyed our stay as usual. The owners have up dated the property each year, which has made our stay more enjoyable. The baths although adequate could use some updating. Small repairs to ice maker and freezer and dish washer are needed. We look forward to returning next year.

The house was nicely furnished with plenty of extra games, etc to keep you busy. Our time there was very enjoyable once we figured out the TV and sound system. The only other problem was the freezer. It leaked water from the ice maker and that froze so it looked like ice falls once we got the door open. The bar refrig was very noisy while running. Other than these few hic ups everything else was great.

We stayed at the Corolla Sunrise with 8 adults in our family and 3 small children and it was a great experience. The sleeping arrangements worked out well and the proximity to the beach really made the whole experience very pleasant. The house was the best equipped of any house we have stayed at. This is was our first time in Corolla (we usually stay in Duck) and the nearby shopping was great. The weather was great and we made good use of the pool when the ocean was off-limits for swimming when hurricane Bill was stirring things up.
Decent place to stay, but a little less than expected

The home was very nice; close to the beach and enough room for the three families that stayed there. The 4-1/2 baths were very convenient, never any waiting when cleaning up. We were happy to find that the pool received sun all day long.
One negative was the lack of deck access from the master bedroom, which wasn't apparent from the description on the website. Our last two Corolla houses had deck access from the master. Another issue, which wasn't so bad, were the relatively cramped rooms on the first floor. Two pyramid bunks and foosball table in one room did not allow much space for the kids to "hang around." The other room had a small pool table, and barely enough space to play - it may have worked better as a TV/video game room for the kids. We were also a little disappointed in that there was no gas b-b-q grill, only a charcoal one. We like to b-b-q a lot so constantly having to buy coal (at the exorbitant prices they charge around there-they have you trapped) and clean up the grill (not very user friendly) was a little annoying.
From a service perspective, we were very disappointed - while the house may have been "straightened up" before we arrived, it certainly was not properly cleaned. The bathrooms were OK, but all the tile floors were disgustingly dirty; this was made readily apparent after 30 minutes of walking around in socks after we first arrived - they turned black. And, there were piles of sand around all the entrances to the house, which could have been easily rinsed with a hose. Then we found that mid-week cleanings were only a "sprucing up", but we wanted a full cleaning (other agencies we used in the past provided) due to the number of people with us. The service offered did not even include fresh towels or linens, but was equivalent in price to what we paid in past for "full service" cleanings.
If handled by a different agency we would certainly consider this house again, but will likely look to a new agency next year.
