This house is exactly as is pictured, big, beautiful and plenty of room. The ocean is a hop, skip and a jump away. The grounds were very well taken care of, and the area was beautiful. This is our sixth stay in the OBX and this has been the best house yet!! We would definitely return to this beautiful home. The keyless entry made things much easier to check in. Thank you for the rental of the home and most of all for the memories of our 2013 OBX vacation
House was really nice!

We did all our correspondence through the realty website, and it worked out great! The pictures on the web are a little dated I think... The outside of the house could use a scrubbing and new coat of paint. Table and chairs were huge and fit our whole family, although they too were sticky and need a good clean. The rainstorm that came through before we arrived left a few rooms soaked. The maintenance people came out right away, as they did for a few small problems during the week. Great service! Great location, quick easy walk to the beach. Be prepared to walk stairs (not good for elderly or disabled) and all nonstick cookware in kitchen is scratched and flaking (but there are other pans to use too). Easy to get to Corolla or Duck. Would stay here again.

7th annual trip to OBX. First time to Pine island which is excellent will try again next year. Resort Realty also a first time for us---Liked 1 pm check in time- did not like the fee they charge the other real estate co's hide it in the price. Also no start up soap/shampoo etc. Get with it ==find out what the others are doing.
Loved this house, but the beach was too crowded.

We had 14 people in this house, and it was great. The only down side is that the beach is a little more crowded than we would like it to be.

Overall good. Aside from a large number of bugs in the bottom floor, home was excellent. Also, the recycling container was full when we got there so we had no where to put our recyclables. This should have been empty prior to our stay. Otherwise home was excellent
Pretty good - with a few minor disappointments

The house was very nice, with a great location on a cul-de-sac, and easy access to the beach. The house was very well furnished and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom mattress was too firm for our taste, but we still slept okay on it. The dining room table is absolutely massive - great for large families. There are a lot of beach chairs, umbrellas and pool/beach toys available in the outside storage, which was great, plus it had a beach cart to help haul everything to the beach. Now for the few minor problems: This was a Resort Club property, which means that there is supposed to be someone there at check-in and check-out to help you with any issues. Also, they supposedly take special care to make sure the property is ready. Well, no one was there at check-in or check-out, not that we actually needed anyone, since we've been doing this for 20 years. When we tried to get into the hot tub for the first time, we found that it was at 86 deg, so we had to turn up the heat and wait for about 4 hours before it was hot enough. There were ant in the kitchen, but they more of a nuisance than a real problem, and they did come to spray at our request. The fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning, but this was caused by the downstairs aC breaking and leaking water into one of the fire alarm sensors. This is not something that anyone could foresee. I will say that Resort Realty was quick to respond to all these issues, and they were resolved by quickly by a friendly and courteous staff. Even with the few problems, this was one of the nicest houses we have stayed in in our 20 year coming here, and we would definitely stay here again.

The house and all its amentities was great. Access to beach was good as well, but the public access is also used by the Currutck Club so the beach is pretty crowded by this access. Use the secondary access if you dont like crowds.
We had a great time!

We had a family gathering that included my 87 year old mother, four out of five children, and ten out of eleven grand-children. My brother also came up from Florida. Everybody had a great time. The accommodations were above average.Only a few glitches. The main one was that one microwave wasn't working and it took a few days for the maintenance man to come and fix it. If not for that I would have given them a 5 star rating for Service.Only way that a Vacation home on the Outer Banks gets 5 star rating for location is to be on the beach. Rent it and will not be disappointed.

Great trip! Entertaining and preparing dinner was enjoyable. Ample dishes, utensils, and kitchen convenience. The table sits 16 comfortably.
Poolside was relaxing, clean and a retreat after a day at the beach.

Lots of fun for the extended family vacation

This was a great house for an extended family gathering. The kitchen was extremely convenient for cooking for the large group...with two stoves, two microwaves, and two sinks. The bedroom and bath arrangement, and the various gathering places allowed groups to get together, but also to stay out of each other's way. The volleyball court and horse shoe pits were nice extras. The only real complaint we had was that the mattresses in some of the bedrooms were not very comfortable. Also, the extra ice maker was broken and maintenance was not able to fix it during our stay. However, there were two refrigerators making ice. The beach was only a short walk away, and it was very nice with plenty of clean sand and fun surf. We also appreciated the large bin for curbside recycling.

I was impressed with all the amenities that made for an enjoyable vacation: boogie boards, pool table, horseshoe pits, kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. This has nothing to do with the house, but I wish NC had a lower sales tax rate.
Glad we stayed there.

I left an extensive review on the evaluation I left, so I'm not sure that this is necessary and I won't be so detailed.
Basically our interaction on the day we arrived was very upsetting, with housekeeping not having anything ready for us at 2:30, complaining that the people hadn't gotten out until 10.
Since that is an okay time for departure according to the contract, and considering that I didn't understanding your well camoflouged wording of "turning various parts of the house over to us", and the fact that she didn't want us anywhere yet, this was a very bad initiation since we thought check-in was at noon.
Once we got past that, the number of things that you didn't supply and didn't make clear in your paperwork, and the fact that she said she would be back to clean the kitchen at 9:00 the day we left, our visit was very, very nice. The house was spacious and accommodated our family very well, we appreciated the games available, and the pools and beach were great.
Thank you too for just notifying me that something we left behind has just been located.

If you are looking to have all of your family and friends join you for a week of total relaxtion then rent this house. My bride and I rented this house as we got married last year in OBX @ Corolla Chapel. This house not only accommodated all my guests but exceeded everyones expectations. The pool was great, the hot tube even better. The location is perfect in distance to the beach and better priced then those on the beach as the distance from the house to beach is almost the same as those on the beach. The kitchen was great the dinning table fits all your guests to enjoy a true family/friend dinner. Wish the economy didn't suck I would have loved to go back again this year...
