Weather was perfect, but beaches were red flagged for two of the 3 beach days we had. Delayed till Tuesday afternoon because of Irene! When we arrrived the house was dirty (we vaccumed entire house ourselves) and pool was dirty till Thur evening - so no pool time either. Disapponited about house maintenance (mentioned above). The weather was beautiful but major debris was washing ashore so beaches were red flagged, so weonly one day in the ocean (Friday only) had to leave Saturday. I think people travelling long distance should have been advised to cancel with only 3 1/2 left of the week, it was a 12 hour drive (each way) for a 3 day vacation, and then the house wasnt ready when we arrived. Resort Realty should have advised us to consider cancelling.

The house was in great shape and had a nice layout for multiple families with a den area on the 2nd floor and the main living area on the top floor, but the bedrooms were very small except for the master bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. It did not have a hot tub which I didn't realize until I arrived. There were no beach amenities such as chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and we had to go rent them; other houses I have rented have these included. The location was close enough to the beach to walk with young children. Enjoyed the multiple decks. Pool was small but ok - we had 6 kids with us. Really liked the keyless entry. Unfortunately we were evacuated before the end of our week and our vacation was cut short by a couple of days.

The house was great. Lots of space. It was very close to the beach and the pool was wonderful. Some movies but not much in the way of games for kids. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Great location. Close to the beach, close to shopping.Overall, we were very happy with the house, the only issue was the TV's. Game consoles can only be connected to one or two TV's...the others were too old. The home would benefit from a technology upgrade.

The weather that week was fantastic, but very hot, very glad we had a house with the pool. We would spend the mornings at the beach and then the afternoon's and nights at the pool, very relaxing. The first floor A/C unit was not working when we arrived, so we called the emergency phone number and put in a ticket. They fixed it very quickly and by Sunday later morning we had air again, so all was well. The check-in and check-out process was great. Everyone at resort realty was very friendly and customer service orienated. The location of the house was great. It was close to grocery stores, shops, restraunts, and it was a very little watch to the beach.

Everything as described EXCEPT no high-speed internet in the house and Resort Realty people weren't much help. However, we found a good, unprotected wireless signal close by, but can't guarantee that it's always there. Also, you can "subscribe" to a wireless service for $50 per week, per computer.
Otherwise, the house was in great shape, well equipped, lovely pool and hot tub. Except for top floor Master, most bedrooms were smallish to very small; good for sleeping not much else.
Steps from the beach (3 houses down to the path over the dune). Lots of shopping and grocery, theater, etc very close by.
We had 10 adults, two 11 yr old girls and 4 little boys 9 months to 3 1/2 years, so we were pretty snug. -

A beautiful home but bedroom configuration was misrepresented online when we booked this home. There was a picture of a room that did not exist (actually it was locked) and some of the kids had to "double up" unexpectedly.
We always enjoy our time at the OBX. The house was close to beach access and was generally a pleasure except that it could have been cleaner upon arrival.
This was our 16th trip to the OBX. -

We have always stayed at Crown Point (different rental)and we love the location. Our family has grown so we were looking for a better bedroom configuration. If all the bedrooms had been available it would have better fit our needs. The house decorations did not follow a beach theme and did not give much atmosphere. The top floor did not have any direct access to the outside so those sleeping there needed to go through the second floor. There were no beach toys or chairs which had been available at our prior rental location.
The kitchen and eating area were great. Lots of room and well provisioned for all types of cooking. Though we had some issues with the bedroom arrangements Prudential was most accommadating and respectful to our needs. As in the past, the booking and payment arrangements went without a hitch. We will certainly be looking to come back to Crown Point again if not at this location than another.
