Unadilla, NYFive O'Clock Somewhere
Left on 07/19/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Overall, we were happy with this rental.
The pool area could use some work but the pool was large and private, which was fabulous.
The walk to the beach was quick & easy. It was also a quick walk to Corolla Light Town Center. And, as a bonus, the ospreys have a nest & babies that we watched from the pool side of the house.
The kitchen was nice but it didn't seem equipped to provide for the number of people the house can sleep.
There was a slight bug problem, which wasn't so bad we couldn't deal with it. However, the kitchen floor was sticky. At first we thought it could be swiffer residue and no wet mop was provided for us. We wondered if it could have been sticky from pesticides.
All in all, we would rent this unit again. We had a great week and there were no issues, only nuissances. -

Salisbury, PASomewhat upset, not what we expected for that much money.
Left on 07/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The house was not clean. There was dog hair on everything. Blinds throughout the house were broken or missing. There is a "bug" problem in the kitchen especially. The pool filter was not working until Thursday during our week's stay. It was had ro keep the pool clean. The outdoor grill was gross. Will not rent again.

PhiladelphiaGreat time with a few glitches
Left on 09/22/2010 for a stay in September 2010
I vacationed with my sig other, Mom & Dad and sister & her husband. Ran into an issue early on when 3 of the t.v. remote controls didn't work. Also found that the DVD player in master suite was non-functional. The remotes needed replacement batteries and while this was not a big deal it was time consuming to have to locate batteries or switch them out from the rooms that were not being used. Resort Realty (who are excellent) was extremely responsive with the DVD player issue. We arrived Saturday, by Monday we had a new DVD player. The carpet could use a shampooing and the trash in the outside receptacles from the previous tennants had not been disposed of as we discovered on trash day. Aside from those issues this house is lovely. It's extremely well stocked, well appointed, very comfy. The beach is really 3 minutes away and a little shopping center with a bakery and ice cream shop is about an 8 minute walk. I had a great time and my family is already making plans to return next year

Hillsborough, NJDisappointed with Vacation
Left on 09/08/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We were disappointed with our rental. The pictures on the website were deceiving, as they did not truly represent what we found. The inside was a little dated, but OK. For the most part, it was clean, except for the bugs. The outside was a disappointment. The decks had mold and piles of bugs on them. Lots of cobwebs. The pool deck had tree debris on it. Some of the chairs looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. The aC went out on us - a few days into our stay. We had temps of 96 degrees on the upper level, before they brought us window units. When they were installed, the rental company left lots of opening for bugs - and the house became loaded with them. Not installed properly. We expected more for the money. The agency was helpful - just disappointed with the house.

Takoma Park, MarylandYou never want to leave
Left on 08/12/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This home is of the best value - short walk to the beach plus a good size pool - the kids love that they have both options. House is big enough, very comfy and we liked the secluded location - there is nobody around to look in your windows...Very good location for the July 4th fireworks - just a short distance to the lighthouse. We've been renting this house for past 5 years and will always come back.

Iloved the location as well as the house. Usually we stay in bigger houses but with a smaller group this was perfect! Bedrooms were wll equipped as well as the shed for beach "stuff". What a considerate landowner for opur nrrds. Everything appeared to be well maintained.

Hollidaysburg, PAHouse was okay but had issue with how clean it was
Left on 10/05/2009 for a stay in September 2009
This was the third time we have rented Five O'Clock Somewhere (2 times in September and once in May)and the ninth time we have rented with Resort Realty. We enjoyed the home and love the location and layout. The kitchen was well equipped. The biggest issue we had was with how clean the house was. Tile floors were sandy, gritty and sticky. The stove was not clean. Showeres and tub were not clean. Lot of cobwebs. Whoever inspects the home before giving it the okay is not doing a good job. There were some issues even when we were the first to rent the house for the season this past May. It was anough of an issue this time the we cancelled out reservation for next May and are renting from a competitor.

Left on 08/28/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We arrived with our key to have the housekeeping crew still there for 45 minutes after our arrival. We paid for linens and beds to be made, they were not. There was five green Resort Realty linen bags left in the middle of the lower hallway with towels and sheets in them. Ton's of cob webs, clearly had been there for quite some time. Unfortunately, the bed advertisement was incorrect. A king bed was listed and that consisted of two very old twin beds pushed together. That was unacceptable. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and general setting. We will come back, but do not suggest this home for the price we paid.

Richmond, VAWhat a WONDERFUL home
Left on 07/31/2009 for a stay in August 2008
This house is so spacious, nicely decorated, great pool, loads of comfy deck seating and just overall provides so many great spaces to be with your friends and family and is so close to the beach access. Nice parking lot by the beach if you have a lot to take down as well. Just a warm, welcoming house--we'll be back again this year and in many years to come!

Pittsburgh, PAA "UN"relaxing vacation.
Left on 07/16/2009 for a stay in August 2008
When I placed this reservation on-line, I was not alerted to the fact
that our particular unit was right next to an active construction
site. While the workers were very professional and mannerly, the
construction began at 8:00 am each morning so sleeping in was
out of the question. When I emailed Resort Realty after we arrived
back in Pittsburgh, they were very unapologetic and dismissive and
did not offer anything in the way of compensation. This was the
first time that I had ever rented beach front property-the
convenience of being steps away from the ocean was lovely,
however, the construction really cast a pall on our entire week.
