We really enjoyed our stay at Hidden Treasure. It was clean and offered many amenities. A very short walk to the beach and extremely close to a new Harris Teeters. The location is quiet and secluded. Looking forward to staying there again in the not too distant future.

This house was the most disgusting house we have ever stayed at. Dirt, dog hair and flies was what we had to clean up before we could even move our own stuff in. So disappointed in the price of $1600 for such a dump. The picture above must've been taken atleast 10yrs ago b/c now you can't see the house for all the bushes and trees covering it up..

Thank you for your comments. Since this review, we have spoken and resolved your issues. I am puzzled about your comment on the photos being so old. Hidden Treasure has been updated and redecorated, and everyone loves the changes. I appreciate your email letting us know what a great place Hidden Treasure was and that you weren't able to call about the issues until a few days later as you were busy with a wedding. We did have a housekeeper go out to the house while you were out. She mentioned that there was a dog in a crate there, and it growled at her while she was handling the call back. We do appreciate your comments, as they us to improve continously. If we don't know, we can't fix it. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

This is a great little house. It's octagonal, which gives it a cozy, quirky feel. The house is nicely appointed, and it is off the street in a private setting. I like the gated balcony, and that I could take my dog. It is close to the beach (1 block) and in a great section of Corolla, close to shopping. Although it sleeps 9, the actual living/seating areas are rather small, so I would recommend this house for smaller families/groups of 6 or less.

I stayed at hidden treasure with my wife and 2 children(20 & 26). The open layout of the cottage worked well for the four of us. The kitchen was well appointed for my wife who lives for these beach vacations to show off her gourmet cooking expertise. The beach was not crowded since it is located in a small community and without a large public access. The proximity to shopping(Harris Teeter,Food Lion and Tim Buck 2) was great. The deccking and deck furniture is very limited. Larger groups/families may feel a bit cramped. There are plenty of provisions made for young children in the house. However, the stairs accessing the beach are formidible for beach carts or larger strollers. Also,the 2nd through 4th bedrooms are on the 2nd floor which is only accessible by a very narrow,steep, winding spiral staircase. If you are looking for a quiet,relaxing beach vacation with a small group of mobile, healthy people this is a great choice!

This is a beautiful house with a great design and an easy walk to the beach. Our only complaint was upon check in, it didn't look like the cleaning staff had vacuumed the floor, and there was lots of dog hair from the previous tenant. Also there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms.
These were easily-resolved inconveniences, however, and overall it was a nice place to stay and convenient to everything in Corolla. If you bring dogs (as we did), note that there are a lot of ticks in the area, so make sure you have something to protect yourself and the puppies! -

This was a great place to stay and had a short walk to the beach. Less than 1 mile from Harris Teeter and about 2.5 miles to Food Lion and the Outlets.
Overall this house was outstanding. Everything was in tip top shape, plenty of items in the fully stocked kitchen which made cooking in very convenient.
Plenty of parking space, enough for 4 - 5 cars easily. We had 2 SUVS and a car. We had plenty of space.
