House location was great, place was outdated and needs lots of work. having a workable vacuum cleaner would be nice.

The house was inundated with ants when we arrived. I bought ant bait (not
something a guest paying lots of money to stay at a beach house should have
to be dealing with) which did no good. An exterminator finally came and
eradicated most of the problem. Also, the outside shower did not work at all
and the key to the house opened only the basement level door. The hot tub
would not heat up properly.

This is a great house for adults travelling with their dogs. However, beach access is distant,with an unpaved pathway and many stairs. I would not recommend this house to anyone travelling with younger children, or anyone hauling kayaks or surfboards.
Teens and technophiles are likely to be disappointed by the small TVs, limited cable and lack of a stereo. -

The overall service was excellent. The house served us well as we had 4 adults, 5 children ranging from 6mos to 10yrs, and the dog. The kitchen was big enough to cook for everyone and the bedrooms were set up well. The location was close enough to the beach to walk there in 10 minutes (faster without the kids). The only amenity we wished we had for the kids was access to the nearby community pool. Everything else was great. I would recommend this to anyone heading down to Corolla with kids and/or dogs!
