Great place, amazingly well equipped from kitchen utensils to board games to bedding to beach furniture. The only thing that could be improved would be a more powerful wifi to broadcast the wifi to the top floor.
Perfect Corolla location with beautiful views and even better am

This being our first visit to the Outer Banks, we were unsure of which areas to stay in. Having young children with us, we wanted to be within short walking distance to the beach but also close to conveniences like grocery stores and restaurants. This property has the best of both worlds. About a 5 minute walk to the beach, Ocean View is nestled in a community with one of the few stoplights along Ocean Blvd (very convenient) and has a direct ocean view that is gorgeous. Also, it backs up to a wilderness area where you can enjoy bird song in the morning and the occasional deer visit at night.
The home itself is very well maintained and updated. The décor is tasteful, and the beds are comfortable. We so enjoyed the deck that wraps almost all the way around the property. It has ample seating for dining outside or just sitting and enjoying the view. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, pitchers, glassware, kids' tumblers, flatware, etc. - everything you need for your stay - and even the shelves are labeled for ease of use. Very organized. The dining area was very nice - would easily seat 10, and the living room area was equally well appointed. One nice touch was that the owners had laminated sheets that listed the cable stations in the area just like you would expect at a nice hotel.
The owners have made sure that you have everything you need for a wonderful stay at the beach - boogie boards, buckets, shovels, beach chairs, and even a beach wagon to make the walk to the beach access a little easier. The outdoor shower was a lifesaver as well.
The only bad experience we had was not with the property itself, but with the management company, as they did not have the house cleaned before our arrival. They did take care of cleaning the day after our arrival, but it was a major inconvenience after traveling many hours and being greeted with a smelly home with dirty linens everywhere. All in all, beautiful property with great amenities... an Outer Banks gem. Read more

Ocean View was everything as described and more. The furnishings were excellent and the view wonderful. A short walk to the beach kept gave us just the amount of exercise we needed. It was an easy walk and the beach was spectacular. We will definately come back to the Outerbanks and if available will rent again. Thanks

Altough the house was not right on the beach, because it angled back over the natural sand dunes you had a clear view of the ocean. It was only a short walk to the beach, and the views from the decks were incrediable. We woke up early every morning and watched the sun rise right over the ocean and watched wild deer and foxes run and sneak around on the dunes. It was beautiful.

The house was beautiful, clean and fully stocked with anything and everything that we could need. The views were amazing; the neighborhood was great; the decks and deck furniture were perfect; I can't find anything negative to say about our stay.
My family was in Corolla for the week because my daughter was getting married. Having everyone in one location at this property was amazing and make our "wedding" week so very nice.
great weather, nice location, beautiful beach

House was very nice. we are a family of four, although the house can sleep 10, living space would be tight with more people. very comfortable and well kept.

This was our third stay in this wonderful house, and the recent improvements--decor, internet access, kitchen furnishings, and entertainment center--just added to what was already a great experience. The location, including the beach, easy walk to a great supermarket, and proximity to cycling paths and other parts of Corolla, is amazing. We look forward to staying again for a fourth time in 2011.
It was very relaxing environment.

It was very convienient to the stores, resteraunts and to the beach. You did not have to worry about gaining weight with all the steps involved within the homes and the climb to the beach each day. Overall, it the house was nice and open and a great view.

This was our 2nd visit to the Outer Banks for Vacation. The 1st time we stayed in Duck (Schochers Ridge). The traffic was awful getting there. It took 7 hrs. (is usually a 3 1/2 hr trip. We left early-9:30am--still didn't get to rental office until 4:30pm. The design of the Outer Banks is not friendly to tourist. There is talk of a bridge. After being there locals I guess appear to oppose this. Tourist are part of the ecomony there??? We scheduled a charter boat at Orgeon Inlet. Took 1hr. to drive there--no traffic issues then. In Corrola you are not close to restaurants/ etc. the restaurants in Duck and Corolla are expensive. Not much to do. If you just came there to sit on beach --you are fine. We rented jet skis--$69.00 for 1/2 hr. We have gone on jet ski tours--several hours for that price (Key West) and (Cancun). It is a tourist trap. The grocery store was very close which was nice. But, I do not go on vacation to spend all my time in the kitchen. I cook at home. We paid more money for this house and it was smaller and not as nice as "Duck"--the water is dark, it was very cold, sand is a dark ugly color. But, I will share I grew up near Panama City Beach. Awesome sand. I left felling like I didn't truely have a vacation. I will share for the money we spent on the house alone---we came home and booked a trip to the Dominican Republic (all inclusive-including airfare tranfer fee, taxes and insurance) Punta Cana---for the same price as this house. The two can not be compared. I feel the Outer Banks are becoming over-rated.These days people have to feel they are getting moneys worth. The staff at Resort Realty were fine.

We loved this house. This was our 7th year staying in Corolla/Duck. This house was near the top of our list of homes we've stayed in. The combination of close proximity to the beach and conveniently located near shopping at a reasonable price makes this house wonderful. The new owners have done a wonderful job updating the home. We have stayed in 7 homes over the last 7 years and this is the first home we will consider returning to.

Let me first start off by saying that my rating does not reflect the service of Resort Realty. You were nice and very accomodating to our needs. I already left the feedback questionaire in the house and you should have read already. We've been renting in OBX for 21 years and this house was the worst house we've rented. The carpets were dirty along with the living room couches. We had sheets on the couches all week and wore shoes/socks all week. The dog hair on was ridiculous! All over the couches and floor. The pillows on the couches are brown not pink anymore. RR had to come back and clean the kitchen/bathroom floors again. RR bought us new pans. If not, I could not cook in the ones there - they were all scratched up and rusty! They need to buy new cooking utensils. There was a lack there of. The blinds on the sliders were all broken off so the house next to us could look right in! I know we got a small discount for booking late, but this house needs a total makeover for the amount they originally asked for. Has anyone complained prior to this?? This would not defer me to rent from RR but if I were you, please have the owners update! Even the outside doesn't have the correct "name". It's the last Owners name for it! We've been staying in Section E for years now and really like it. I know the houses in this section are a bit older but the insides have been updated.
Love the beach but Hate the house

The house was a dump. It needs to be updated and have basic stuff done such as paint and a major cleaning. The bedding needs to be replaced and overall we did not like the house at all. We have rented at the Outer Banks for over 15 years and I do not think we have ever had a house that we absolutely categorically felt we would NEVER rent again until this year.

We were forced to book our vacation two days ahead of time, due to a snafu in our original plans. The people at Resort Realty were extremly helpful in finding us an available property, in our price range.
The property was well located, on a quiet cul-de-sac. We were only a short walk from the beach, and had a shopping center just across the street (also walking distance). We also really enjoyed the upper level deck that received shade in the evening. We spent a ot of time sitting there with our favorite book and/or beverage.
The house was clean and roomy, and contained everything we needed. The only negative comments I would have is that some of the furnishings were pretty well worn and/or of poor quality, particularly the kitchen gear (pots and pans, etc.).
