We've stayed at this place for ten years now. This year they installed new flooring throughout the place and it's much improved. It's close to the beach and the beach is very uncrowded in this part of OBX. We like the fact that we can bring our dog with us. He loves the beach.

I must say that the house itself was lovely. Plenty of space for the 10 of us. We had two friends come from England and my son and daughter-in-law and two granddaughters came from New Mexico, the rest of us from New Jersey. We planned for two years for this two (2) week vacation at our favorite place, OBX. We have been to OBX before and used Resort Realty which is why I didn't even look at other rental properties. Here is my list of complaints: the house was not clean. I personally cleaned some of the bathrooms and the kitchen. The bed in the master bedroom was not dressed. The dishwasher was broken from the Saturday we arrived until the Monday of the second week we were there. The freezer leaked on the floor. The DVD and tape players were all broken. Lots of Dvds and tapes available and nothing to play them on. The cable channel package was poor and the WiFi was incredibly slow. If more than one person was on a device, everyone else could not access the internet. We stayed for 2 weeks. It was not a cheap rental. We really were not treated well when we contacted Resort Realty about having the dishwasher repaired. When the repairman came the following week, he was surprised he wasn't called earlier as he would have come. I was embarrassed after bragging to our friends from Europe. I doubt that I will use Resort Realty again. Read more

Thank you for your response on FlipKey. Communication we receive from our guests is a great way to gauge what we are doing right, be made aware of what we can improve, and in both cases are very much appreciated. I would like to express my apologies that you took the time to clean the bathrooms and kitchen yourself, but I would like to let you know that if you notice anything during your stay that needs our attention, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We are always here to assist our guests. In addition, I'm so sorry to hear that you did not receive excellent customer service as this is not the normal feedback we receive. A copy of your review was forwarded to the property manager, and he will certainly take the time to review these. We hope you will return to the Outer Banks and give us an opportunity to assist you in your vacation needs.
..not worth the money

Positive: great beach and convenient beach access. Easy check in n out with keyless entry. Very quiet dish washer.
Negative : owner is aware and planning on replacing as per personal note on fridge but not sure if true... That note can be generically done every year. Horrible carpet. Millions of stains. Who knows what they are. Kitchen is Not well equipped. Problem with aC from the first day and yes it was a weekend and on call service was not willing to come out. Got fixed on monday in the afternoon..needed more freon. So may happen again. I did not pay over $4100 to sit in a hot house. Freezer had a frozen ice on the bottom. Must have been defrosted to clean n got refrozen instead of being dried n wiped. As we filled the freezer(bottom loading). The ice started melting n made puddles. Pool was a lot smaller than photos. Landscape needed between pool n hot tub. Picnic grill was so small and millions of ants nearby eating away our legs. I have stayed in three areas, kill devil, duck n corolla. This house in corolla had the best beach for swimming n surfing with kids between 7-13 yrs old. Great beach for adults to play football without disrupting others. Sadly I would not return to this house nor to resort realty. Read more

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. On behalf of Resort Realty, we are very sorry that your stay at this home was not as pleasant as you would have hoped because of the maintenance problems you encountered. It is unfortunate that these issues occurred during your stay, and I assure you this is not our standard. Our goal is to have 100% happy guests. We do depend on many outside vendors to make needed repairs, and it is unfortunate that we do not always know when they will arrive to a home to make the repairs. Our maintenance records do indicate that a number of these issues have been addressed.
We are always happy to pass on comments/suggestions to the homeowners and will be sure to do so regarding the kitchen equipment, landscaping, and grill. Thanks again, and we do hope you will give us another opportunity to assist in your vacation needs.

This is the third time we have vacationed in the outer banks. We really loved the proximity of the house to the beach and other amenities such as the community pool, tennis courts, and the estuary. We enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. The house was very comfortable.

Relaxin For Shore is a spectacular house in a phenomenal location. I rented it for a week in august this year for my husband and me and 9 others in my immediate family including my sister, brother, their families, my mother, my father, my labrador retriever, and my sister's daschaund. This was the first visit to the OBX for all of us and we had such a great time. A family wedding brought us down, but the beauty of the area and the convenience of renting this dog-friendly house will definitely bring us back. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep, eat, and relax. There were also enough bathrooms so no one ever had to wait. We loved how open the kitchen/living room area was so we could all be together if we wanted. We found all of the amenities we needed in the kitchen were already there and we loved how there were games, books, and videos available as well. The pool and hot tub were very well-maintained and were enjoyed by all! The only thing I would like to see provided at the house that wasn't would be beach chairs. We brought ours with us and would have like to have had that room in the car for other things. A very small detail that would not prevent me from renting this house again. Thank you to the owners of Relaxin For Shore for allowing us to enjoy their beautiful Corolla home! We will be back soon!

The house was nice. It could have had more cabinet space and another refridgerator. The house could have been cleaner, and the insects could be managed better.
Great Beach Spot

Would not stay here again fro numerous reasons. Here are a few: mice everywhere on the first floor, urine on matress of first floor..had to sleep on air matress that was purchased at Walmart..a/c went out and tried to replace with window unit that was not enough..finally fixed and replaced whole a/c unit. Refridgerator did not keep food that cold. Dvd player did not work..coloring on tv screens were horrible (like one was all orange).
Lots of space, great layout, near the beach

It was a great house- Resort Realty was awesome. Location fantastic- beach was close and we used the pool every day! Carpets had quite a few stains and pool furniture was broken for the entire two weeks, so we had 2 chaises for 10 people!
Another great week
