We enjoyed our vacation, but were challenged by all the maintenance issues. The pool leaked and so had to keep water running into pool which made for cooler water. The blowers on the hot tub did not work. The electric outlet in one bathroom did not work. The bathtub in one bathroom leaked down into lower level. Thie pool heater stopped working two days before end of week. The bath mats in the upstairs bathroom were very foul smelling and dirty. The blenders did not work. The surround sound in living room faded in and out.

This house was great. It had everything you'd want or need to feel at home on vacation. We made most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen had EVERY possible utensil and gadget. The view of the beach was so nice out the front windows and the walk took maybe a minute or less. We had a few rainy days, but the house had a video and game library that was just fantastic. Definitely something for everyone! The pool was a nice size and they had the patio set up with a sound system so we had a pool party almost every day! We had to call for service a time or two, but the people who came out were very nice and very helpful. Southern Shores answered our calls really quickly, too. Overall, it was a great time and the house was very comfortable and had a real feeling of home. We're looking forward to next year!

I have never been to OBX before and choosing A Shore Delight was a Home Run for my family and friends. The house was a perfect size for us 8 adults and 5 children. The convinience of having everything you would have in your own home was amazing. We didn't have to pack nearly as much as we did. The things that we accessible to us were incredible, things like bikes for the kids, anything you need for the beach, for the pool, the list can go on and on. Being on a corner was a huge factor as well as we had very easy acsess to the beach. I would Highly recommend A Shore Delight if it's your first time to OBX or you've been going for years and want to stay in Corolla.

We stayed at this home two years in a row. We found it to be the perfect location. close to the beach and to the shopping. It had a very private feel to it and we enjoyed having a pool. The kitchen is well equipped and the owners do a good job stocking the home.
The weather is taking its toll on some of the doors and they do need to be spruced up, but we really loved the home, its location and the bedrooms and baths fit our family perfectly. -

We (four couples) rented this home in October with the hope the weather would still be nice and we were not disappointed.
The owners graciously left a house-warming gift, which was a very nice touch. House was well stocked for our every need....especially the kitchen, as we cooked almost every night.
Hot tub needs replacing but was usable. We paid to heat the pool, but it was not heated when we arrived. Pool service came out within the hour. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at "A Shore Delight". -

We are a family of 13 including grandchildren that age from 4 to 8 years of age, Our stay was great kids loved the beach and the pool at the house. Our only complaint was that our week went way to quickly, when the children were told on Friday that we were leaving the next day they all started crying. Never did we dine out, all the conveniences were at hand.Looking forward to returning someday.

This home had everything our family needed for a comfortable, beach vacation. The kitchen was completely equiped and ready to use. The bedrooms were decorated nicely with comfy beds and dressers. The 5 bathrooms made it easy to get ready quickly. There were games, movies, etc available to entertain the whole family. Our 2 baby grandchildren had cribs and high chairs available for their use.
Going to the beach was a breeze with the beach carts, beach chairs, floats, and sand toys. Access to the beach was so easy...just a short walk down the side street.
This home is situated on a rise in the neigborhood and is surrounded by empty lots. Therefore the view from the huge family room window was breathtaking. -
A not so relaxing vacation

When we arrived the house was loaded with ants. Mainly in the
kitchen and dining area. Exterminator took a day to get there and we
had to wait for his arrival. No beach for one guest. There was no gas
left in the grill so that also took extra time we did not expect. The
bathroom off of the children's bedroom smelled horribly of mildew.
The hot tub kicked on all hours of the night right outside the two
master bedrooms. A so so vacation for travelling 2 days to get there. -

Simply gorgeous. Close enough to the beach but not too close to be expensive. Enough room for extended family to join us with plenty of room for privacy. Great place, great weather inspite of T.S. Hannah on our last day. Would do it again and again!
