The house, and especially the kitchen were fabulous.

The house was great, but the houses close by were awful noisy and ruined our trip. At late in the night, they spent drinking in hot tubes and screaming and keeping us awake. Therefore no more trips for us to this house - maybe its just the way society is heading. But we won't do it again especially given the $$$ for the unit rental. The cheese cake the owners sent us was wonderful and the 4 bikes were great as well as all the house facilities and sports equipment
Just a few missing items otherwise the ideal home!

This is a lovely home with a great layout and excellent deck space with perfect views of the ocean and the lighthouse. The deck furniture is of high quality and comfortable but the inside seating furniture needs to accommodate more people. Just a few nits: Nowadays folks expect a television in the bedroom. There were only 2 older TVS in the house and limited seating in front of them and we missed watching movies on rainy days. Moving the hot tub from the pool deck would be a good idea, too for those rainy days. The realty service was excellent -- we had an issue with burned pots and pans and within 2 hours the realty sent new ones along with a new toaster. The house simply needs a little maintenance and TLC--the kitchen drawer knobs fall off easily, shower heads spray water where you don't want it. It is conveniently located near the beach and all in all, a great rental!

Really nice house. Well equiped to meet multiple families needs, yet cozy enough for a one family stay. Nice views of both the ocean and the lighthouse.

Great place to stay, needs some minor upkeep done.

Loved staying at this house. Just needs both toasters replaced and the bushes in the front need to be trimmed back. We couldn't walk on the pathway to the pool from the front without moving to the right of the walkway.
We had a great time

There were 16 family members celebrating our 50th anniversary. We had a few minor problems with the house which were taken care of promptly. The 8 kids just loved the big pool and the two dishwashers were wonderful. The views from the upper deck were great from sunrise to sunset. The worst problem was the HORRIBLE traffic getting to the house on Saturday.

The house was perfect for my family and I. It was everything we thought it would be. having stayed in the outer banks quite a few times, this house was definitely one of the best. we were only disappointed with the fact that the ice maker was broken and there were not enough tv's for the kids. only the one on the top floor had cable. other than that, we had a great trip.
Stress and tension melt away the minute you step in the house.

AAAH DA SEA is has been tastefully decorated in lively but relaxing colors, making the property very appealing from the moment you step in the house. The decks provide outdoor escape and the comparatively large pool a great place to relax and play with the kids. The sound of the surf from the deck in the evening provides for a peaceful backdrop for drinks and conversation. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities.
There is a TV on each level but none in the bedrooms. The primary drawback is the small television and lack of a DVD player in the game room...a minor issue.
The walk to the beach access is fairly short...about 250 yards...and the sand on the beach is very soft...unlike some of the beach areas further south in Duck.
The staff in the real estate office was extremely friendly and welcoming.

We had a great time at the house. Tabatha went above and beyond to arrange for us to stay the days we wanted to stay (which is why we chose this house and agency). The house was comfortable and we liked the location.
There were a few issues that had to be worked out and that stressed me on this vacation. The hot tub hadnt been serviced before we got there, the hot water heater wasn't working and we didn't know till the first night. The beach volley ball court is not taken care of and didn't have the net when we arrived. I ordered towels (the day before) and they were not delivered, I picked up a bundle on our way to the house but didn't know we had two bags so 20 people shared 10 towels for over half out stay.
Loved this house

We loved this place. It's just a short walk to the beach, easy even for children 3 and under. Plus, the house itself is great. It's roomy enough for 3 families, but also gives you enough room to be all together. Lastly, we really loved the crow's nest (top deck) as some of the older children liked to go up there and look at the stars.

The decks, the pool and the views were wonderful at AAAh Da Sea. The kitchen was well equipped and a joy to the cook. Twenty adults spent the week and it was great. The only issue was lack of TV's for the younger adults. Only the one in the living room was functional. Well decorated but wear and tear obvious.
poor cleaning service

The home is lovely, wonderful views and nice short walk to the beach, well
stocked with dinner ware, cook ware, utensils etc. Beds and furniture were
My only problems with the home were
1) the cleanliness
When we arrived there was two bundles of dirty bed linens BLOCKING the
front door, we had to move them before we could even enter the house, and
they remained on the property for 2 days after we called and reported it to
house keeping. Interior banisters were filthy, carpet in main living room had
big spill spots, which had not even been attempted to be cleaned. I know this
because after having the spot stare at me for a few days I took a can of
resolve and cleaned it myself.
2) the pool heater
It had not been turned on. When I called the agency about it, mid-week, I got
the run around. In the end I had to turn it on myself. I was with out pool heat
for four days and reimbursed for one day.
I recommend immediately,( and persistently),reporting anything you find
Outer Banks Heaven

My family had decided to rent a house over the July 4th weekend someplace we had not been before - the Outer Banks had alwasy been of interest to me so I began researching and found this beautiful home for rent. My entire family was able to stay there together and relax and truly enjoy this vacation. The house had everything we could want - plenty of space, even nooks where you could find alone time if you desired it; great pool and hot tub, pool table, lots of games/videos, etc. on site that ou could use. The place was fantastic and close to the Currituck light house and to the beaches where the horses roam freely - we were lucky enough to actually see them up close. The Wright Brothers Memorial wasn't that far away and that area offered many interesting things to do and places to eat as well. Actually, we felt we had our own little piece of heaven here - peace and quiet, but close to the ocean and all sorts of other amenities. It was a fantastic vacation and I would recommend this house and Southern Shores Realty to everyone. We hope to visit again on another vacation within the next few years and Southern Shores will be who we call!
