This was a very nice house for the price. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
Our family had a relaxing vacation at this beautiful beach house

Overall, our family and friends and dog enjoyed a great week at the beach. The weather was very comfortable for august and only Tuesday was rained out for going on the beach but that allowed time for shopping and touring. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, and all the games. Kitchen was fine for the quick meals we enjoyed between outings. Bedrooms were comfortable and there was time to relax on the multiple decks. There were only two negatives from our visit and both occurred upon arrival. 1) The Currituck County Sheriffs Dept. issued us a parking ticket with $50.00 fine within one hour of our arrival. Not cool! You should post in the house that no street parking is allowed and subject to a stiff fine! 2)We appreciated the clean carpets when we arrived, but they were still wet on Saturday evening. The only negative to the cottage is its location about 3/4 mile walk by road to the beach. Southern Shores should consider putting some walkways through the subdivision directly to the beach. It would cut the walk in half. Again it was a great week and we would recommend this economical property and its nice amenities.

Best beach vacation ever! The house was clean, comfortable and very nice. Enjoyed the decks, hot tub and many amenities it had to offer. The neighborhood was great and very happy to have access to the clubhouse. Thank you to the owner for sharing. We really enjoyed it.

Our family had a wonderful time in this home. The rooms are spacious and homey. The sunset views are amazing. The location is also great. This was our first time staying in Corolla..we've previously stayed in Southern Shores. We will certainly be back.
The only negatives about the house would be minor; during our visit the back deck blinds were broken and the door wouldn't open at all. I would've enjoyed seeing the sunrise colors from that view. We loved the hot tub and hammock swing, but couldn't use it until we trimmed back the vines taking over the deck.
Loved the Game Room!

The house was great! We loved the game room and always had something fun to do! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The TV took some getting used to with all the remotes and such but worked great (some of the other reviews said the TV didn't work, but it was probably because those people were trying to watch the HD channels and that is not an HDTV). The hottub was fabulous in a good location.
The only downside to this house was the foliage that attacked you on the lower deck. That bush is overgrown and is coming out onto the deck, which makes it less nice looking and inhibits the railing.
Otherwise, the keyless entry was nice as we didn't have to wait in line to get keys or turn them in. No one had to remember where the keys were and we are able to come and go as we pleased. I wish their had been more parking and easier access to the beach but we had a fantastic time!

House was clean and in a great community. Lots of features, but had too many problems with all the electronics. None of the vcr's worked, the dvd player and the large tv were on the fritz as well. Kitchen was fairly well equiped, but could use a steamer. Overall, the house was nice but needed some updating. Monteray Shores offered lots of services. The club house was new and had plenty of services. However, the pool hours were a little short. Only open until 7:00 p.m.

My family and I were impressed with the home and all the amenities included. Especially the hot tub.
It was clean and neat. The kitchen utensals, pots, pans ect. were more than adequite for our Thanksgiving meal.
Our only draw back, was when my grandson opened the trundle bed, some one did not clean well there. It seemed there was a dried up dog feces there. I cleaned it up and put the bed back into position.
Other than this one thing, the home was very nice, the locale excellent. And of course the end of the year sales at the Beach Stores were great.
