We loved this beach house. It had a beautiful view, plenty of room, well equipped, and comfortable. The hot tub was nice. We also enjoyed the Foosball table in the game room. The keyless entry was fantastic. It made check in and out so easy and no key to keep up with. Loved it and plan to stay again sometime.

Great beach house that accepts pets! Excellent and close location to the beach and shops nearby. Quiet street--nice ocean views--comfortable home. Second time back!

This home was in a fantastic location; just across from beach access and with plenty of stores and activities nearby. Unfortunately the home is in dire need of updates/maintenance. All of the mattresses were horrible...nothing like leaving vacation with an aching back. Kitchen cabinets come off the hinges and the stock of cereal bowls and other essentials were low, with the existing pans in very bad shape. A safety concern is the porch and pool deck furniture that were all shaky like the nails were pulling out of the wood. The showers are so narrow it's difficult for a woman to shave her legs and there is only one bathtub in the house...which is not helpful when families have several kids who need to use the tub for baths. Also the owner appeared several times unannounced to do yard work which felt intrusive; would be nice to have notice.

Very nice house, well equipted, clean and the layout was great. Location to the beach access was great. I would definitely use this place again. My family had a great time on vacation and this house really contributed to that.

for many years we have visited the obx twice a year.we always enjoy our stays.this home gave us more than we expected.The owners of the home were exceptionally nice and helpful to us.it was a pleasure to meet them. The home is very close to beach access and very well taken care of, and the keyless entry was nice too.The whole stay was so nice for our family of eight.on the top of our favorate list.

Stayed for a week with family. The house provided great together space and offered enough room to have quiet time too. The kids had a terrific time in the heated pool and everyone enjoyed the nights on the upper deck listening to the waves. The kitchen was equipped well and we had all our dinners at the house. The location to the beach was awesome - easy for afternoon trips back to the house for naps for the grandkids. Walking distance (under 1 1/2 miles) to the sound and Lighthouse. Thanks for the fun & memories!

We vacationed with friends,2 other families, and we had a really good time. The house was perfect for us, plenty of room. We loved that the beach path was so close to the house. It made it easy to make a lot of trips, with all of the beach gear. Coming back from the beach and getting into the pool was great too. We are hoping to rent again next year!

Tuna Gorda's curb appeal is really nice. Soft grass to play "corn hole", do cart wheels, play volleyball, and swing on the swing set. The pool was lovely. The house slept 10 of us (6 adults, 4 kids - 3 families) well. The kitchen was large and decently stocked. Nice decking. The boardwalk to the beach was right across the street so this was fantastic.
Only draw backs was the outdoor shower water pressure was all but non-existent, there was 1 bath tub in the entire house (the rest of the baths were stand up showers), and only two of the 6 bedrooms had a private bath associated with them.

My family (3 seniors, 4 adults, two pre-teen, one infant) totally enjoyed our stay. Tuna Gorda completely lived up to its billing. It's location was ideeal, and there was plenty to do in and around Corrola. Although the rental was expensive, it probably wasn't extortionate. Overtall a really enjoyable vacation and vacation spot (except for the bumper-to-bumper arrival and departure.

Overall the location and the amenties that come with the house are great and absolutely met my expectations. The only knock I have is that screening on the screen porch door was in need of repair when I checked in to the house.

We had a great time in this house with a 2 yo and 4 yo. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. The pool (we paid extra for heating) was very comfortable and well maintained. There is a playable yard and swingset. The beach is across the street and a very short walk. There were many child-friendly elements to the house and it was fairly well safety-proofed. I would recommend a gate for main stairs from the family room/kitchen area; you may want to bring a portable one if you have toddlers.

Our group of 10 had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and warm and cheery - all that we hoped for. Great location and value.
The only negative was loss of internet access for 24 hrs. -

My wife and I had some people stay with us over the week. We had eight people in all which we had plenty of room to spare. The house was not on the beach but we only had maybe another 50 steps than the house that are on the beach. We were there Oct.3-10 and the weather was great, the temp was between 70 to 85 degrees. I would suggest to anyone to go at this time because of the weather and the crowds are way down. Not to mention it is a whole lot cheaper this time of year for the same house and less stressful. We heard that it is a nightmare to do anything from getting on and off the island to going to the stores from June to August. We were close to the Currituck lighthouse also and whale house, which was maybe a mile away, a 20 min walk.They already had some beach chairs and toys to make sand castles available at the house. Our only problem was that we paid for a heated pool which was not turned on until the day after we arrived. So it took another day for it to heat up to be comfortable then it shut off two days later for some reason. we only used the pool three days because of that but they did reimburse us the money for the pool heating cost. Then one day the hot tub went into economy mode and took a day for them to come out and fix it. So in all it was a pleasant stay good location to the beach but if something goes wrong don't expect quick service.

The issues we had were:
1.broken dishwasher(we had to wash the previous renters dishes-it was packed full!)
2.broken patio door/wouldn't lock-children could get out
3.broken swingset-children couldn't play on it
4.internet didn't work
5.countertops were dirty in some rooms
6.carpets weren't vacuumed when we arrived-they did send housekeeping
7.cabinet door in kitchen broken
