Easy check-in and easy check-out! Everything was clean and the set up was perfect for a large group! Plenty of activities (volleyball, horseshoes, pool table, pool, hot tub, hammock) to keep everyone busy and enjoy the vacation!!!

The house was beautiful. But, the cleanliness of the home left much to be desired.
The house was dirty, there were beer bottles left on the deck from the last renters. There were not enough beach supplies. The walls on the decks were very dirty and are in need of power washing.
I rented from this company from 2006 - 2009. I stopped using Seaside Vacations in 2009 because of the cleanliness of that home.
I was very sad to see that this has not improved in the three years I have not rented from Seaside.

We had a large family vacation with 24 people staying in this house. There was plenty of space for everyone- even the 2 last minute extra people who had to sleep on air mattresses. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking supplies necessary. The house was clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were great- a new pool motor was even installed in 2 hours without any interruption. (We weren't having a problem, the motor was loud and the owner just decided to change it before any problems happened.)
The beach access with a life guard on duty was less than a 10 minute walk. And the stores/restaurants were only a 5 minute drive. Love the location.
This was my 3rd trip to Corolla, and the first trip for everyone else in the group. They only had good things to say about the house and the fabulous vacation. Thanks!!!
The only suggestions for improvement I could make are: 2 more large cooking pots, bleach the tiny mold stains in one master bath, and check out the master mattresses, one person said theirs was uncomfortable. But these tiny issues didn't cause problems for our great vacation. I would happily stay here again. -

The house was satisfactory. We did notice one of the bunk bed rooms smelled like strong urine. We noticed one mattress had stains of urine on it. So one couple ended up staying upstairs and luckily we had one couple cancel on us so we had the room. The master bed I think needs to be replaced also, thats where I slept. The blinds seem to be in need of repair. Everything else was very clean and well kept. We all enjoyed our vacation. Loved the pool. Getting into the house was no problem and we left it spotless when we left. We did enjoy our stay and thank god for the beach buggy. We also had a broken baby gate and some gentlemen came right over and installed a new so thank so much for that. The couch is not comfortable either.Loved the crows nest at night. Kitchen was very large and the dining area.

Pros:
Plenty of sleeping space.
Easy access to the beach.
Nice pool & hot tub.
Kids loved the pool table.
Quite area.
Convient to shopping.
Loved the multiple level decks.
Cons:
Could use more sitting area in the living room. For a house that sleeps that much, couldn't all get together at night in common living area.
Nice that there were bikes there, but none of them worked.

Villa del Sol is a beautiful property. It is quite spacious with plenty of room for adults and children alike. Since it is a pet friendly home, it was great for the family pet. There were a few maintenance issues that can be easily corrected, and once completed, this home will be in execellent condition. I really loved the proximity to Currituck Beach Lighthouse. On the down side for me, I would have preferred to be closer to the beach.

The overall set-up is great! Not all of the beds were made. Several things had been broken and not repaired or left broken. Dishes were in the cupboards dirty with food still in them. Microwave periodically started beeping and said the keyboard was shorted. Beer and soda cans were strewn all over the back lawn. We were given no instructions on the keyless entry except the numbers and no welcome package with information concerning garbage pick-up, etc. Many of the shower curtains were mildewed and dirty. Great distance to the beach and amenities such as basketball hoop, sand volleyball court in backyard, pool, pool table.Plenty of space in the house and great decks. Just could have used a more thorough cleaning.

There was 17 of us, ranging from age 4 yrs. to 65 yrs. and thre was plenty of room for everyone. The house was decorated so completely, every room was so nice, I really appreciated that. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of large pots andpans, plus very nice large pltters and the dishes were all matched, no miss- matched of anything. I was very impressed by that. Very enjoyable house, the pool furniture & deck furniture was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was amazing... very well equipped. The pool was the perfect size for elementary aged school children just learning to swim. The walk to the beach was short, and the weather was fantastic. We will be back!

My husband and my family stayed at the Villa Del Sol and we were disappointed in the condition and certain elements of the house. There were many spider webs inside and out and spiders dropped down from the ceiling a couple of times, once into my husband's sandwich. There were many spider webs all over the outside of the house as well so we could not enjoy the many decks that the pictures portrayed. The air vent near the kitchen looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years and the carpeting is in dire need of being replaced. Overall the furnishings seem to need a good cleaning. The swimming pool was smaller than we anticipated and we had some ant problems out there. We could not use the grills outside as they looked like they hadn't been cleaned and full of grime. The only nice thing about this house was that it was withing walking distance of the beach. Although stll not really close at three blocks away when you are carrying chairs, umbrellas, etc. Overall I was very disappointed with the Villa del Sol and we will not be returning. I will say that the staff at Seaside were all very nice and they were responsive when we called for maintenance and other issues.

Convenient for walks on beach in the morning and night and to public drive on beach where we go to hang out for the day. We had a great time and the room layout was great - lots of private space for everyone. Disappointed by a few things - list 2 refrigerators, but one was a very small one in the rec room so make sure you bring coolers to store drinks. The rec room was a little disappointing - need to upgrade the TV and maybe add a loveseat/couch - adults and kids ended up hanging out on the top level - we took two Wii systems with us hoping to give the kids a place to hang out but the rec room TV wasn't up for it. The only bathroom on the top level is in the master bedroom, which wasn't a big deal for us, but is inconvenient. Make sure you do not turn on the outside lights at night especially on the pool - it draws the bugs, we learned the hard way on that first evening and quickly caught on as to why the neighborhood is so dark at night. Overall, it is a very nice property with lots of room, but maybe a little overpriced compared to properties we have stayed at in previous years.

We found the home well appointed and a ton of dishes and utensils (3 coffee pots). However, the toaster was a "two-bit" job that would not accept a whole slice of bread. The slice had to be toasted twice - one end, and again on the other end! A million dollar house with a $10 toaster is rediculous - especially with 16 people eating toast in the morning. Also, I moved the furniture off the center rug on third floor to vacuum, and found a "doggy bone" and cereal and some popped popcorn on the rug. The cleaning service should pull out the furniture to clean. Also, concerning the third floor tub - the plunger on the tap was "frozen", so water immediately came out the shower head and no bath could be taken! Get a plumber on that!
For over a $5,000 rental, one should have modern toaster and plumbing that works! There were several light bulbs burned out as well.
In spite of the above, we all enjoyed the property and pool.

From check-in through our stay we had a wonderful time. Vicki in the Corolla rental office was extremely helpful and accommodating during check-in. We had one issue with some wasps/hornets near the pool and front door. Maintenance came out as soon as possible and removed the visible nest above the front door. No stings and fewer hornets throughout the week kept the group happy. The beautiful weather all week meant we spent every morning on the beach and every afternoon at the pool. The whole group wishes the week could have lasted longer and we can't wait to book our next OBX vacation.

We traveled over Memorial Day to OBX from DC and we were all pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Renting online can sometimes be a mess but this house was more than we had expected. There were 20 of us, who all fit comfortably. There's a ton of room to "hang out" in the house and the pool is just great! The location is about 3 blocks from the beach and a 5 min car ride to the grocery store.
We did have a plumbing issue the first evening but SeaSide was great in getting it resolved for us in a timely manner.

The service at Seaside was kind and most courteous. they helped me find a beautiful home quickly. I loved how clean and open this vacation home was for my family. It was decorated beautifully through out the entire house. My entire family loved the vacation spots in Corolla like Corolla pizza and several seafood shoppes. We cooked a lot in the house and the kitchen was perfect for having fun and dining together. It was further away from the beach than I expected.

We really enjoyed the house and the location. We were very disappointed, however, that the hot tub was not filled and ready when we arrived on Thursday evening. It was not attended to until Friday morning and then took forever to heat up. We were also disappointed that there was not any gas for the gas fireplace.

Great House, all the amentities you could want. pleanty of space, nice pool.
a little hike to beach access, ice maker did not work and hot tub not always working. This did not prevent us from having a Great time. -

Three families shared this house for a week (6 adults and 6 kids). The home was spacious, clean, and in good condition. The kitchen was very well stocked (we loved having two dishwashers!) and we were able to make excellent meals all week. We loved the pool. It was shallow all around the edges and not very deep in the middle (maybe around 4.5 feet). It was perfect for our young children. The adults also took advantage of the good-sized hot tub. The beach was a few blocks away, but the distance was not a problem for our young children. The beach was beautiful and quiet. The grocery store, beer/wine store, etc. were all very convenient as well. We had a great week.

We had a good vacation. The house is nice and spacious. It offers many perks, but I think we caught it on a bad turnover. Not sure what happened the week before our stay. We expected more. We spent a lot of time with maintenance personnel. There were problems with the outside steps, volleyball, bikes, hot tub, plumbing, outdoor furniture, swing and cleaning. I do not think that we would rent it again. We must have just hit one of those weeks where things just catch up after the summer season.
