This five bedroom, oceanside sanctuary, has all the comforts of home. The... open floor plan is perfect for gathering with friends and family. Horizon Light's multiple decks and screened porch are the ideal perch to take in the stunning views and enjoy the fresh ocean breezes. WIFI is provided for your convenience.

The private, in-ground pool (9x20) and hot tub are ready for hours of fun with the kids or to unwind with loved ones after a great day spent on the beach.

Ocean Sands Amenities: - Horizon Light is in section D of Ocean Sands. - There are tennis courts in Sections D, F, and H only. - There is NO public pool in the Ocean Sands subdivision.

  Corolla is the place to stay. This house was 3 minutes to shopping, golf, and great restaurants. Just 3 short straight block walk to the beach. On your walk to the beach you pass the tennis courts which were helped to work off all the great dining we did on our vacation. The house works for a large group - we had three families together with little ones. Pool and hot tub were well maintained and we got to use them often during our stay. While having my morning coffee on the deck I saw three deer and on another occasion a red wolf. Apparently they were re-introduced to the island in the 70's but have never been a problem to the islands inhabitants. The house was a good value for the proximity and amenities. We would have rated this better if not for a delay in checking waiting for the house to have it's cleaning inspection.

  the home could have been cleaned better, we had black cat hair all over the place on the couch in the beds, in the carpet. I was not pleased with the cleaning, the hot tub was nice needed a light so you could see at night time, pool was nice also had no light in the pool area, jaccuzi had not been used in a while because when I got in it a bunch of rust came out, it took starting it 3 times to actually clean the rust out of line. beach was good had alot of crabs on the beach, but loved the breezy walks.

  The home is laid out well for a large family. Nice to have a private secluded pool. Close to everythig you need.

  The house was comfortable, clean and large enough for the 6 adults and 5 kids. The beach was great and not too far but the pool was just outside the door and just the right size for the kids to play and the adults to relax.

  We had a blast and enjoyed our week.

  The house was very clean. Easy walk to beach. Pool, Hot Tub and pool table were used very often by the adults and teenagers. Only negative, beds were hard. This was our first time to NC and are looking to go back. We will try another place but we would stay at this house again and truly have another wonderful time.

  House not as clean as it should be.
  Had to scour a pot before we could use it.
  Top shelf of dishwasher broken.
  Some bedspreads shabby looking.
  Could not use the screen porch due to its filth.
  Gas fireplace was to be working after the first two days. It never worked.
  Floor plan of house was good for our needs.
  Enjoyed the pool table.
  Cracker crumbs under both couches.
  While carpet does not readily show dirt - it is very dirty.

  We rented over Labor Day weekend. A hurricane kept us nervous but we were allowed to enter the Outer Banks on Friday after Earl brushed by it doing very little damage.

  Very relaxing beach vacation

  We liked the house. We shared it with another family and the way the rooms were organized worked very well for us. This is the 3rd house we rented for the same 2 families in Corolla and there are a couple of things we didn't like too much. The kitchen was very, very small for a house that can accommodate this many people (not much you can do about that!). We were a bit disappointed by the lack of "essentials", such as dishtowels, coffee filters, dish soap and such. We've been doing rentals all over for many years now and it's always nice to have at least a little something to start with. That includes 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom - ready to use! And maybe even one of those hotel soap bars by each sink. I think things like that should definitely be included in the price we paid. Also, I'm not sure the pool circulation was working properly. The water was very murky. We were there for 2 weeks and just missed the guy that was taking care of the pool - but since he had been there and saw the water, we figured he would have taken care of it. So, please check on that.
  Other than that everything was as expected. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated how clean the house was (except for several pans containing left overs from previous renters, but we understand that these things don't get checked by the cleaning crew).

  Great house - a little misleading

  This was a great house, a little further from the beach than I had hoped. Had a few minor upkeep issues, but overall a great house to stay at. Advertising was a little misleading - ie "bikes and scooters" turned out to be one really old bike for a child and one really small manual scooter also for a child. Pots and pans need to be replaced. Overall a really nice house though!

  Wonderful Home-Short walk to beach

  We just spent a week at this home and it was better than expected. It had all the comforts of home ,was clean and close to shopping and a short walk to the beach. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. It had a great pool with the outside charcoal grill and hot tub which we used often. It was great and conveinent having a washer and dryer allow us not to overpack and bring so many towels. The pool table also provivded great fun.

  The perfect vacation home!

  Horizon Light was the perfect getaway spot for 7 working professionals in much need of a vacation! It was a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Corolla, and right around the corner to the grocery store if we needed to satisfy a hunger craving. The house was immaculate, and came equipped with all of the appliances and kitchen utensils one could need away from home (except for a cutting board). The pool and hot tub were a great way to unwind after a day at the beach, and the grill became a nightly hangout before dinner was served. A+ for Horizon Light!
