      The process to rent the house online was very easy and seamless. The house was very well decorated and clean. it meet all our family needs once we were there. a big issue that we had was when we arrived and tried to locate the office to oick u the keys we used an address located on the website to get there. when we arrived we found the office had been closed and we were not sure where to go. we called the office and had to back trrack several miles to get the keys. We had arrived about an hour before scheduled check in ask if we could check in early( no problem) we received the keys and went to the house at 3pm only to find out the keys weould not unlock the house, we called the office and explained the situation and after several calls back and forth the sent a maintance man out the the house about 4:45 pm with more keys and none would open the doors. he tried prying the windows opend and that did not work either. hed said he was scheduled to get off work at 5pm so he called the office and was told the office manager was on her way to the house and if she could not get the doors open we would be moved to another house.She arrived at 6pm and the first key she tried opened the door.So during all of this we had 14 people that had traveled 7 hours in a car sitting in the cold for 3 hours and could not get in the house. we barely got and apology. we were told that the owners had a reputation of coming down and changing the locks without telling the rental company.

      My family and I had a great time during our vacation in the Outerbanks. The house was beautiful and fit the size of our family perfectly. Just enough beds for everyone. The decor was lovely and fit the area with it's seaside theme. There are just two complaints I have. The first is when we arrived, the house was not as clean as we would have liked. The kitchen still had some areas that were not totally wiped clean from the last visitor and the pool area had towels, clothing and even empty beer bottles from the previous visitor as well. Other than that, we loved Corolla and will definitely come down again, especially to stay at a place in the 4x4 beach area.

      Heaven on earth!

      Our stay at the Sundowner was just what we had expected and more! The house is perfectly appointed, the kitchen is furnished exactly as a group of foodies would want, with plenty of utensils, dishes, baking and cooking equipment (blender, mixer and even an under the counter ice maker!) Loved the extensive video and print library as well as the games. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of 'us' and 'me' space. The pool and hot tub were great. The unit is just a quick walk to the beach (maybe 3 blocks at the most) and we took advantage of the beach chairs and games too. Shopping and dining are just around the corner - we even were able to walk to the grocery store if we wanted - a little over a mile away.

      The Sundowner home was very sufficient for our needs. We love the Monterey Shores community and the neighborhood. The house layout was very nice and roomy for our size family. The pool needs repairing - edges are breaking apart and pieces were falling into the pool. Gas Grill is pretty old and needs a good cleaning or be replaced. We found dirty dishes in cabinets (not cleaned properly).

      Wonderful Family Vacation!

      We had a great week! The house was very clean and very spacious for all of us. We really enjoyed the pool. The beach was not as convenient as we anticipated but access to the sound, via Monterey Shores, was excellent. We truly enjoyed our OBX family vacation!

      My friends and I highly enjoyed the Sundowner. The fact that it accomodated to groups was really helpful to us. For being such a nice house, it was awesome that they trusted us to stay there. The pool was our savior, though it was close to the beach, we just lounged by the pool everyday. One complaint was that the hot tub could have been a little bigger. =) Besides that, the Sundowner was everything we could have asked for. A very relaxing week that we earned after two tough semesters.
