I stayed here with my wife and two young children from May 1st to May 3rd and we could not be happier. We wanted to spend a few days outside of the city and enjoy the beaches of Coronado, but once we arrived any thought of going to the beach faded away.
Sarah's casitas are well laid out with a large bed, flat screen tv, cable, split a/c (not that you'll need it). We had a full kitchen complete with a large refrigerator and freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and pantry.
The ground of the property are manicured beautifully. When you walk through the covered walk way the back yard opens up into a breathtaking oasis. The first thing that catches your eye is the deliciously looking swimming pool, equipped with waterfall and two large umbrellas in case the mid day sun gets to be a bit much. Every where you look there are different types of blooming flowers lining the patio, the fence line, and surrounding the pool area. We even saw a few hummingbirds feeding from some of the hibiscus flowers. I almost forgot to mention the hammocks that swallowed me for a couple afternoon siestas.
Even after all of this the absolute delight of our stay was Sarah herself, her level hospitality is something everybody should strive to achieve. Sarah made us feel like old friends from the moment we entered and we knew this was our home for the next few days. Sarah knew when to give us our space and when to start a conversation. She was a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding areas and was able to offer us some advice on the local restaurants.
We will 100% be coming back and you should not hesitate to book this place as soon as possible!
Little bit of paradise!

Our two week Feb. stay in the studio Casita Toucan was amazing! Sarah is the ultimate hostess. Her beautifully landscaped yard is the perfect spot to meet and socialize with other guests which we thoroughly enjoyed. The beach, which is beautiful but very quiet, is a 10-15 minute walk. The golf course is a 10 minute walk. In the afternoon, we loved lounging around the pool in her very private backyard. The casita was very clean and comfortable with its own little kitchen, flat screen TV, fans and air conditioning. We felt right at home, enjoying the opportunity to help out with little repairs and even pick fresh herbs. Much cozier than a huge all inclusive resort. Sarah is very quick to respond to emails which is truly appreciated. Wish we were still there!!!

My husband and I traveled to Coronado, we were greeted by Jose, a wonderful guide and excellent driver, he made us feel welcome in Panama the minute we got off the plane. Sarah's guidance in the us, and throughout our entire trip was excellent. Jake and I loved her cozy casita, the grounds, the pool, the amenities in Coronado were perfect for us. We loved the location of Coronado, we could jump in our car, take day trips all around Panama...and be back in time for an evening swim...

We really enjoyed the very laid back atmosphere at Sarah's Casitas. Very relaxing to enjoy coffee around the pool in the morning with option to make our own meals. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and entertaining our Panama friends here. Very close to golf club and all of the activities available. Our home away from home! We will surely rent again.

We stayed in Sarah's main house, which was very comfortable - there was actually more space than we knew what to do with. The setting outside has a very relaxed atmosphere, which is just what we were looking for. We enjoyed hanging out with the other guests who were checking out Panama just like we were. We loved hanging out in common area and around the pool.
Sarah made us feel very welcome and we felt like we'd know her for years! She introduced us to quite a few expats living in Coronado. She also took us house hunting and helped us find our dream home in Panama.
Thank you Sarah for such a wonderful experience. We'll be seeing you soon!
Staying here was a pleasure!

My Husband and I stayed in Casa Gaviota on Sarah's property for 12 days and although it's not very big, it was perfect for what we needed it for. Comfy bed with TV and air conditioning, full functioning kitchen and hot water for showers! But, we didn't need a lot of space because we spent the majority of our time either on the beach or by the pool in the beautiful yard! We loved the area so much, that we are considering property in the Coronado area. Sarah was able to help us out there as well, by showing us properties and introducing us to other ex-pats. I would recommend Coronado and this cozy casita to anyone looking for a vacation and access to all of Coronado! Read more
Thanks for the nice review Karen. I thoroughly enjoyed having you both! Really hope you do become my new neighbour! Cheers, Sarah

We arrived in Coronado last Monday and had no problems finding Sarah Booths quaint casitas. The Tortuga casita is nicely updated and very functional for even a long stay. The air conditioning, flat screen TV, comfortable bed and cozy backyard with pool and garden are an oasis in a warm beach town. Sarah is awesome and more than accommodating. She has really introduced us to quite a few folks at various get togethers. We love it so much that we extended for another week. Coronado Beach, roughly 1 hr from Panama City. If you are not staying in the city, this is what you are looking for! Ambience at its best!
Excellent secured location within a gated community, very clean rooms, all self-catering plus a caretaker to look after your needs.
A beautiful pool and lawn chairs to sit back and soak up the sun or read a book, centered in the huge lovely garden at the rear of the property. Lots of flowers and plants and garden items and a terrific variety of trees.
There is little or no traffic on this street. Location - no noise, great for sleeping! At the same time, if you are looking for some live music and expat fun venue, Picasso Bar/Restaurant is only a few blocks away and easily walkable.
Simply , a terrific spot to relax. As a world traveler, I will be back. Thanks a million to a terrific host and owner, Sarah Booth. We shared some social time, as well with the other guests in the 2nd and 3rd casita and it was fabulous.

Casa Toucan was the perfect place for me! I stayed for 3 months to get a feel for the area and loved Sarah's property. It's right in the heart of Coronado - just a short walk to the ocean, yoga class, golf and a happy hour bar called Picasso. (good to have a car, tho')
Sarah is a great host and made me feel very welcome. If there was anything I needed, she went out of her way to accommodate. My unit was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The back yard pool and patios are a highlight -- very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Often there were other guests on the property making for fun gatherings on the back patio. The caretakers are very sweet and helpful.
Great place at a very reasonable price!

At Sarita's Casitas in Coronado, What Was So Special: The Bed, The Grounds, The Pool, or the Hostess?
All of it was special. Staying at the casita named "Gaviota" was a rare treat combining privacy and a huge king-size bed, if that was my choice, or forging friendships in the gorgeous grounds with other off-the-beaten-track travelers as we shared our food poolside, or chatted for ages in the pool, available to guests 24/7 -- even in the tropical moonlight. Quiet, the Buddha statues in the garden encouraged meditation. Welcoming, the hostess, Sarah Booth, led us in the swapping of hilarious stories. Affordable, in this otherwise high-rent area of Coronado. I would recommend the Casitas to anyone who travels alone on a budget or simply loves to meet people, preferably in a pool, in Panama. Oh yeah. Read more

After a busy conference in Panama City, my friend and I stayed at Panama Sarah's lovely casita in Coronado. Sarah was the excellent hostess, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. She told us all about the neighborhood and even took us out one night to meet a lot of the local ex-pats! Our room was very clean and comfortable. We swam in her pool every day and fully relaxed. If you're looking for a truly relaxing location, you have to stay here, because the pool and surrounding gardens are fabulous and the casitas are clean and comfy. We stayed in Casita Tortuga, the newest, and it's bed was comfy, the bathroom and shower clean and spacious, and the flat screen TV with cable sharp and reliable. We could actually imagine living in Tortuga. Our casita has a door to a fully furnished kitchen-microwave, coffee maker, stove and oven, large refrigerator, double sink, and plates, glasses, cutlery, and silverware. Two casitas share this kitchen, but ours was adjacent to it. If you stay in Toucan, the casita that overlooks the garden and pool, you'll have to walk about 15 feet under the covered walkway to the kitchen. Right, like that's inconvenient! Not!!! I'm sitting at a table that seats six comfortably on the outdoor porch that overlooks the garden and pool. It's a bit of heaven here. The wifi is reliable and robust. In fact, I'm sitting outside writing this review listening to the doves coo. What you need if you stay here is a car, because it's too far to walk to the major stores or restaurants. Sarah has two caretakers on the property. They don't speak English, but with a smile and gestures they make you feel right at home. We stayed in a variety of places, from a four star hotel to a backpackers hostel, but this was our favorite place during our three week visit to Panama.

My wife and I spent 5 weeks in Casa Toucan. The backyard was wonderful. Pool was well maintained, grounds well kept and generally very peaceful. This area of Coronado has a number of second homes for Panama City residents. On holiday weekends it can be a little raucous, but the a/C was able to provide reasonable white noise at night. Since we were there for a long duration and I enjoy cooking I worked with the owner, Sarah, to make the kitchen area more functional. During our stay we were able to cook a number of meals that we could share with the other residents. We even had a nice cookout and included Luis, Vilma and her son. Coronado beach is a beautiful salt and pepper beach. It was about 10 minutes from the Casa. We would walk on the beach almost every morning for at least an hour. It does get really hot in the afternoon in Coronado. That is when the backyard shade and pool felt like luxury. We had a car only one week while we were there. During that week we took trips to El Valle and down the coast to Playa Blanca. The rest of the time we would walk into the shopping district, pick up supplies and get a taxi back to the Casa. $2-$3. We would recommend this Casa. Sarah is making improvements to the property for increased curb appeal and functionality.

Arrived in Coronado after a beautiful drive from Panama City. After seeing many new sites and struggling with our terrible Spanish, it felt like coming home. The casita was very comfortable and colourful and it didn't take long to settle in with a glass of wine by the pool!
I liked that there was several other casitas and within a few days of staying there, we were good friends with the other guests.
Despite the language barrier, we found the caretakers Vilma and Luis very helpful. They were not intrusive but appeared whenever we needed something.
Every day we went out sight seeing and every evening when we came home, it really felt like coming home. How wonderful to sip a glass of wine on the patio as we shared travel tales with the fellow guests.
Aside from lunches out, we stayed "home" for dinner every night because we enjoyed the atmosphere and it suited our young son, who was happy to practice his Spanish with the caretakers and "talk" to the parrots, who amused us every day. Cooking, laundry etc was all very easy.
It was nice to be somewhere different but have all the comforts of home right there.

Casita Gaviota was neat, clean and comfortable. Private garden and pool area are beautiful, well maintaineed and a great place to relax. We really enjoyed visiting with Sarah and her other guests. The caretakers were charming yet unobtrusive. Walk to the beach easy and location good for sightseeing. Car helpful, but not essential.

My fiancée and I stayed 3 nights in the main house and had a wonderful holiday!
Thanks to Sarah's dedication to providing exemplary customer service, the entire travel experience was seamless from start to finish.
Sarah has decorated her unique property with Caribbean art and accessories that she has acquired during her many travels which conveys a comfortable, bohemian vibe. The casitas are fully equipped and for those workaholics who desire to connect to the outside world via internet while on holiday will be delighted with the high speed internet connection. We never even bothered to turn on the TV!
The landscaping and pool is gorgeous! We lounged for hours in the hammock and patio which has an outdoor kitchen. The secluded beach is a 10 minute walk and golf courses, restaurants, bars as well as a 24hr super market and bus stop with frequent service to Panama City is located conveniently nearby. Ideally, a car rental would be an enhancement to explore the lovely area.
The casitas are self-catering, but Vilma and Luis, the live in caretakers who stay in their own Casita in front of the property, are available for extra services if needed. They are wonderful to engage in conversation if you want to find more about Panamanian culture.
It's the perfect place to unwind!

We stayed in the one bedroom Gaviota Casita for 10 nights and had a good experience.
Sarah was very helpful in answering all our questions before we booked and in the weeks before we arrived. She offered us an upgrade from the Toucan Studio, which we were originally looking at. We started our trip in Panama City for a couple of weeks, and Sarah even gave us tips about our Panama City stay!
The king bed was comfortable and there is a quiet air conditioning unit as well as ceiling fan in the bedroom. The TV is also in the bedroom and it has a good selection of stations The bathroom (as well as other parts of the unit) was recently remodeled. The kitchen is equipped with a good refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, gas stove/oven, basic pots/pans and enough glassware/dishes/silverware for 4 people (although only 2 can reasonably sleep in the unit). There's a small table for 2 in the kitchen for eating.
The backyard is pretty with a very nice pool, which we took advantage of most afternoons. In the morning I would walk the 15 minutes to the beach, which was very nice and virtually empty.
The grounds are well maintained by Vilma and Luis who live on-site. Vilma does laundry for a very small fee (or you can do it yourself, but we didn't want to spend time doing wash). Vilma will also clean the apartment for a small fee.
We often ate dinners out, and Sarah left a list of recommendations. Definitely check out the Wednesday Expat nights at Picasso's and we also enjoyed Restaurant Bar Paraiso. Best was Los Camiones.
When we wanted to check e-mail or go online we took our laptop/ipad to the backyard and sat at one of the tables near the main house where there is good wi-fi service.
This isn't a super-upscale place (like some of the high rise condo's nearby in Coronado), but it is less expensive and comfortable -- a good value.

We stayed for one month on this property, staying in both the Toucan and Gaviota Casitas, using this as our base while exploring most of Panama. We drove or took a bus from Coronado to Panama City, the Panama Canal, David, and Boquete'. Sarah was on-site most of the time that we were there, and that was a great asset. Boy is she connected! Everything we expressed an interest in doing, she knew how to make it happen with a phone call or email. Then, after sight-seeing all day, it was so nice to come back to her beautiful refreshing pool. The bathrooms in both casitas were recently remodeled and Sarah is constantly making upgrades to the property. If you need 4 star american accommodations, this may not be for you; but if you want to experience Panama in a very comfortable environment that exudes charm, we think you will love it here as much as we did. Hope to return someday.

We stayed at Panama Sarah's home for a month and truely enjoyed our stay. The location is great and the accomodations were very comfortable. Everything you need is already there. The warmth of Vilma & Luis, the caretakers, made the stay even that much more enjoyabable. The garden & pool were fantastic and after a day of golf or beach they were perfect to come home to and cool off and relax. The other guests in the casitas were a lot of fun and we made several new friends. Sarah was always available by email and responded quickly to any questions. Great restruants and grocery stores in Coronado. Beaches were amazing for long walks and sunrises & sunsets. Recommend a car if renting for more than a few days,, lots to see up and down the coast. Enjoyed it so much we plan on going back next year for an even longer stay. Read more

We stayed in the one bedroom casita November 2010 and May 2011. We really enjoyed the stay (one week and two weeks). The room is comfortable and has it own bath. We cooked fish on the patio several times. Sarah is the bomb, she is a font of Panama knowledge and knows everyone. A great source of info. The pool is a nice treat also. I understand the casita has a remodeled bathroom now. Can't wait to see it.
