Right across the street from the Del yet beautiful views on its own! The roof top patio/hot tub was a great end to the day. Rooms are comfortable, clean and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful and was charmed by the lobby macaw. Will stay here again when In the area.

What a wonderful place, and they are updating??!! So pleased with this resort. Very clean, so many people cleaning all day and evening. You can see the care they take in this place. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They have activities planned each day. Shelling on the beach, kayaking in the bay, bicycling to the local farmers market. Had a blast walking the town, great places to eat and beautiful scenery.
The rooms are quiet and spacious and are being updated, but are very nice now. Comfortable beds and nice living area. The whirlpool is on the roof with a beautiful view of the beach and across the street from the famous Hotel Del.
A must stay!! Enjoyed every minute and didn't want to leave.

We were told the day before we flew from Ottawa to San Diego that there was no room for us although we had received a confirmation 3 months priorand paid in advance. We had to go to Loews for two nights...a resort hotel 4 miles away and not the condo which we had reserved and paid for. When we arrived we were told we would have to move 3 times during our remaining 5 night stay. We complained and refused to move stating we had already been inconvenienced. We argued for several hours. We finally got our way and did not move.
We were refunded the cost of our accommodation.We did enjoy the location and clean room once we were there. -

My family & I stay at the Coronado Beach Resort a few times a year. However, the last two times it has let us down. The first time we were given a room with very wet carpet and an overwhelming chemical smell. The second time we were given a room with a broken window that wouldn't close, a TV that wouldn't work, etc. When they sent maintenance up it was house keeping. She wasn't able to fix the TV (I would end up reconnecting and plugging in wires and fixing the problem) and then she came back and sat at the dinning table for 30 minutes taking notes while we were in the room trying to put our kids down to bed. Very uncomfortable

Very much enjoyed our stay with family. Within walking distance to the beach and many attractions, shopping and food. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only down side is no pool, and the roof top jacuzzi is a joke, but the offer to use the pool at Lowe's Resort down the street is nice, however would be much better to walk across the street to the Del Coronado to use their pool. Room is clean comfy and loved the fireplace as well as the flat screen tv. Enjoy Miquel's Restaurant right across the street and love the Nado Jelato store a couple of blocks away. Beautiful beach behind the Del, an easy walk. Our favorite place in the hotel is the rooftop deck, small but what a view!

We so love staying in Coronado that it's addicting!
Each stay you feel like we're coming home, relaxing, beautiful ,fun,and memoriable ! We are always so delighted at the kindness and hospitality .
Not only were we stay but everywhere we explore. From The Del ,to the shops, to the resturants and golf course. We love it! You will never feel safer and more part of a whole community in your short stay than here in Coronado!

Love this resort! My husband and my family have been several times and will continue to use it every time we can when we visit our son in San Diego. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The accomodations are always top notch. We love to be able to have a glass of wine in the jacuzzi and watch the sunset. We also love the ability to be able to barbecue lunch or dinner if we dont want to go out. The resort is centrally located and we can walk where ever we want to go on Coronado.
There is no pool at this location but you do have use of the Loews pool. The Loews pool is beautiful but it is a little bit of a drive to get to. I personally would rather sit on the beach so it has not been a problem for us. -

Check in was very fast and easy. We called to check everything two weeks before our trip and everything was exactly as discussed. We had a first floor room on the quiet side of the resort (away from Orange ave). The views from the windows weren't great, but it was very quiet which was more important than the view. Parking was plentiful, we were able to 'borrow' boogie boards, chairs and towels every single day for the beach. Outdoor hose to spray the sand off all the beach gear was thoughtful and much appreciated. Erick at the front desk is absolutely wonderful and an invaluable part of our experience. He is great at his job. The lobby is beautiful, the beds were very comfy - even the pullout couch was pretty nice for being a couch! We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every minute of our time at CBR. The walk to the beach is very short...my very slow, lollygagging 4 year old never complained about her legs getting tired and my husband didn't complain too much about carrying all of our beach gear. This is a wonderful place to stay, especially with children. We will definitely be back next summer!

Coronado Beach Resort was more than a vacation for us. It became a place of special memories ... of warm chocolate chip cookies one afternoon, a small glass of wine another, and a very special front desk person named Erik who made us feel more like family than customers. It's definitely a part of that unexplainable Emerald City magic. We don't just want to come back, we actually feel homesick away from Coronado and the wonderful people at Coronado Beach Resort. We hope to come back very soon and would definitely recommend it to a friend!

We checked in on a rainy day but the warm cookies cheered us up. The weather has been wonderful since. Cooler in the mornings and warming up in the afternoon. Perfect for using the free bikes and using the workout room in the morning. We used the rooftop spa, sauna and BBQ in the evenings. We went kyaking one moring with our activites director, Seanna and went to the Cororado bridge and back. It was so beautiful and calm in the morning. Got a little wet but not as bad as we thought. Really easy to do as well for all ages. All the other guests we spoke with were all happy with the resort which doesn't happen very often. Usually someone has something to complain about. The manager, Leon Martin makes it a point to tell the guests to let them know while they are here if they need something or have a complaint so they can fix it and not when they return home.

Originally, we were expecting to stay here with San Diego handy across the bay. We never left the Island. Seana, their activities director, got us into activities within walking distance and we were kept busy and enthralled with Coronado. Try the kayaking, sailing, beach walks, and bike trails. Right across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado which should not be missed. We hope to return sooner, rather than later.

Enter Coronado Beach Resort and you are welcomed immediately by staff and resident Parrot "Cody". The aroma of fresh baked cookies or freshly made popcorn wafts around you as the front desk caters to your every request. The condo rooms range from studios that are cozy for couples, spacious one and two bedrooms that are great for families or friends. I had my daughter's 18th birthday party there in a one bedroom and the 4 girls loved it in sleeping bags in the living room while I had the bedroom to myself. The Resorts agreement with Lowes, where there are several pools and hot tubs with a bay view, is excellent. I always take my bike and kayak for the many opportunities to enjoy them both in the area. The Resort also has bikes for the guests use. They also offer beach chairs and toys if you are heading to the ocean, a short walk away. I have stayed at this resort in almost every month and the resort is always wonderful and Coronado is always full of fun.
