This elegant and relaxed home is located across from the World famous Coronado Silver Strand beach.The home boasts of 3000' sqft. of fountains, french doors, hardwoods, tons of french windows, with lush tropical landscaping in a relaxed beach setting.Think Tommy Bahama.....The home is located between the ocean on one side and the big bay on the other. Both bodies of water are located within a several minute walk from the house.You know you've arrived at #1 The Inlet the moment you go through the black arched gate into the courtyard, filled with benches and fountains. You can see the water splashing in the sun, and hear the soothing sound it m...akes. As you approach the glass front entry door, you can't help but notice the bright open floorplan with all rooms being surrounded by french doors or windows that open to the ivy covered walled, tropical courtyard in the back of the house.

The fully stocked designer eat-in kitchen is completely outfitted with a SubZero fridge, Jennair appliances, and granite counter tops. It has everything you'll need to feel at home while you're visiting. All dishware, glassware, 2 coffee makers and just about every other appliances you might need is here, plus a partially stocked pantry.

Adjacent to the kitchen is the white, wood clad cozy den with a fireplace, surround sound stereo system that operates through the entire home, and a 60" Pioneer plasma TV and french doors that open out to an outdoor fireplace. The entire home is high speed wireless, as well as offering streaming Pandora and Netflix, with our compliments.

The living room is large, with overstuffed leather furniture, fireplace, wetbar, and cozy sittting areas. The dining room easily can seat 8-10.

Throw open the french doors and step into the rear yard to enjoy the waterfall jacuzzi, or one of the sitting areas with outdoor heaters and upholstered deep seat loungers, nestled under rows of 30' palm trees.

The outdoor kitchen features granite clad counters, a built in BBQ and sink, and is right off the kitchen making it very convenient for entertaining.The entire yard is surrounded by 9' high walls and is completely private, lush, and tropical. Just back from the beach? Use the outdoor shower. We provide everything you may need for the beach~from boogie boards, to chairs, to towels, umbrellas, and coolers. We also have 2 beachcruiser bicycles, and a kayak for your use. Yes, we have life-vests.

Upstairs you"ll find two master suites, both with their own baths. The ensuite bath has a large jacuzzi tub as well as shower. Both rooms have views of the boat waterways and one of the bedrooms has a large fireplace and private patio with a hammock and a peak-a-boo ocean view. For the kids downstairs, we have an attractive sofa by day, and a really comfortable king size bed at night. It's located downstairs from the two mastersuites and has it's own bathroom close by.

We are in a tranquil, guard gated marina community where the greenbelts, parks and boat channels meander through the community. Hop on a bike, drive or walk on the paved pedestrian trail (3.5 miles) into the vilage. We have many great restaurants, over 60 actually, 17 hotels including 3 world class resorts, great golf on the island, bars, and wonderful shopping. Have a sunset drink at the world famous Hotel Del Coronado or rent a jetski or sailboat from Loews Hotel and tour the bay. Loews also has a Gondola, for romantic evenings. Pull into "The Landing" boat docks, at the base of the Coronado bridge, and try some of our restaurants there, or hop on the Harbor Hopper for the 5 minute boat ride into downtown San Diego's famous Gaslamp District. Be a local...kick back and enjoy!

Enjoy walking on the beach each day, or stop at Loews for coffee, a morning tradition. Play tennis around the corner from the house, or use our village's pool exclusively for residents.

Housekeeping services, as well as a personal chef can be arranged. This executive home has never before been offered for a vacation rental, and we're excited to share our wonderful house. We are pet friendly however there is absolutely no smoking. Take your dogs to "Yappy Hour" near the tennis courts, every morning and afternoon. You'll both love it.

Coronado is consistently rated one of the top beaches in the world. And if the renowned beaches aren't enough, go to the other side of the island and explore the "Big Bay". Coronado has something for everyone. It's close to nightlife in the downtown's Gaslamp District, the Zoo, Sea World, LegoLand, Balboa Park, La Jolla, Del Mar. Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Knotts Berry Farm, are only a heartbeat away. The international airport is 15 minutes away, the international border is 20 minutes away and the mountains and deserts are less than 60 minutes away. Downtown San Diego, a mere 2.2 mile drive over one of the worlds most distinctive bridges feels like a world away. Coronado is a vibrant beach community that is home to the Hotel Del Coronado, the crowning glory of the Island. The Del, a legendary resort built in 1888 still is the host for celebrities from all over the world

  Ed wrote the book on the under promise and over deliver philosophy! Our family visited Thanksgiving week 2012 and were truely made to feel like welcome guests in this lovely and very comfortable home. No detail has been overlooked in providing all amenities from BBQ tongs to Boogie Boards and the outdoor spaces are a true paradise. Pictures don't do this home full justice. As lovely as it looks it is even cleaner, more spacious, and better equipped than we dreamed. We cooked a Thanksgiving dinner for 12 in the gourmet kitchen and were impressed to find that the ownwrs had even provided a few traditional Turkey Day items which a family on vacation might tend to overlook! Great location near beaches and downtown Coronado. Very friendly and responsive owners. This will be our preferred destination on all future trips to San Diego! Finally, I used to wonder if the owners wrote their own reviews...now I know they don't!

  We had a wonderful vacation. Enjoyed the house and the yard. Ed & Kat did everything to make us feel at home! A family neighborhood with lots of activity around us, so the seclusion and privacy of the yard was perfect for us.
  If you like to be in the middle of what's happening, this is not the place...but if you want to be within 5 minutes and enjoy a peaceful setting, pack your bags!

  Relaxing Beach Retreat

  Ed & Kat greeted us when we arrived and welcomed us into their home for the week. They gave us a tour, went over all the important things, and made us feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. They had even left us a gift basket with some wine and snacks...including snacks for our 2 pups that we brought with us! They were easy to reach when we had a question here and there and were so nice!
  
  The house was even more beautiful than we imagined, the pictures don't do the place justice. It was the quintessential beach retreat and we were thrilled to be staying there for the week!! It was private, cozy, relaxing, and just perfect. Everything you can imagine was provided to just move in and feel right at home.
  
  We had planned to visit so much of San Diego during our time there but we only left Coronado once. The place was so relaxing that we never wanted to venture out! It really and truly was the rest and relaxation we were looking for in our vacation away from our hectic jobs.
  
  The beach was just a quick walk and was amazing to see every day. The silver strand is beautiful, and since we went in October, it was virtually empty. We took the pups to the beach 2 times a day and let them run and chase birds. They had so much fun, and we had even more fun watching them. One of the best things we liked about the location was the "Yappy Hour" twice a day. There is a park just a quick walk away and everyone from the neighborhood brings their dogs to run and play. Everyone was so nice and friendly!! This was the highlight of our dog's vacation and they had so much fun.
  
  Our stay was truly idyllic and Ed and Kat are extremely generous for sharing their amazing home. We travel a lot, and no doubt they have created one of the most beautiful, relaxing spaces we have been to.
