We have stayed in this apartment twice now and thoroughly enjoyed it It may not be to everyones tastes but you are in the heart of old Corralejo near to everything you need. The apartment block is secure and everyone is friendly. You have spectacular views from the top terrace and it is a very relaxing place. There are plenty of good eating places a short walk away and supermarkets galore. We are hoping to return again in 2014. I would say the only downside is that we missed sometimes picking up more English channels but as you are on holiday you dont tend to watch tv that much but when you go for long stays you dont really want to go out every night and so the tv comes inhandy. There were plenty of Dvds to watch however, The owner makes it as easy as possible to get to the apartment with plenty of informaton on how to get there etc, and has been very helpful throughout our stays.

We stayed in the apartment for one month in summer and couldn't have been happier. Booking with Birgit was easy and the apartment looks great. It is really good priced and you get a lot for what you pay. If we will come back to fuerteventura we will definitely try to get it again.

Stayed in the apartment for one week, we found it to be very clean and well looked after, had everything you needed, the one thing we did wonder about is why there wasn't any photos of the bathroom, we came home still wondering the same thing, because both bathrooms are lovely, both with large shower units, sink, toilet & one had a bidet.
The terrace that leads of from the master bedroom got the sun nearly all day and its over looking the harbour.
The location of the apartment couldn't have been better.
Booking it with Brigid was very straight forward, and she is very helpfull.Response from Brigid - 05/18/2012

ManchesterSo good we've booked again for next year
Left on 02/02/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Booked this apartment based on the existing good reviews and can now agree with them from personal experience.
The apartment is lovely and exactly as it appears in site photos.
The location - opposite the port and right next to the old town - ideally suited our adult party. It is a 'real' place, surrounded by local residents, church and school. Much better in our opinion than the bland rows of suburban villas on the other side of the bay, but if that is what you like and if you have young children don't perhaps come here.Response from Brigid - 02/12/2012
Owner
Thank you Sharon for your review. I have your dates booked for next year. We have had children staying in the past. There is a stairs and upstairs terrace where young children do need supervision, Our proximity to a sandy beach makes it good for children.

Gijónhomey, cosy
Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We stayed less than a week but we found the location of the apartment to be very convenient - close to the main bars and restaurants but not within the busy area, so it was quiet and nice. There were towels, linen, blankets and plenty of kitchen utensils to cook. Just one thing: we missed having coffee in the apartment in the morning, because the coffee maker in the kitchen was a bit rusty and we didn't use it. All in all, it felt very homey and cosy ( lots of books, CDs, Dvds, etc), with a comfy sofa downstairs and the main bedroom looking on to the terrace ( that was really nice in sunny mornings).

We had a fantastic time and the appartment was perfect! Everything we could need and a brilliant location - a few steps from the harbour where there's the main restaurants and shops. Appartment is very spacious and has the added bonus of a roof terrace from where you have a view of the sea.
I hope we will be able to stay here again. -

Hi Brigid
Many thanks for the loan of your apartment for the week. We really enjoyed our stay.
The apartment is spacious and very clean with good facilities throughout.
I was concerned reading reviews that only one set of keys were given, however on speaking to Brigid we were given 2 sets.
Brigid was contactable and helpful when I had a problem getting to the apartment on time to meet the key holder Iris, and when we were lost (but on the correct road)getting to the apartment.
The only negative and it is a small one is the view of the sports centre across the road, it does spoil the view of the sea, but thats a very small negative.
The dogs next door were absolutely fine, the extention to the wall ensures they cant see you. Infact the little ones were very cute when you saw them out for a walk tied together (very funny).
We will definately be back!

BristolGreat place to stay
Left on 09/26/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Great place to stay for a large family or several couples as it has plenty of space for everyone. It is in a idea area for the best of what Corralejo can offer, you literally are less than five minutes from bars, restaurants, beaches, supermarkets and the ferry to Lanzerote.
We stayed at the apartment for the first two weeks in September. The weather was still very hot and there did seem to be plenty of people in the resort.
You could easily just self cater from the apartment although you would miss out on some good places to eat if you did. The kitchen has enough equipment to eat in with no problems and there does seem to be enough room to relax so you don't feel you need to be out all the time.
We did look at some other apartments which were at the other end of the main strip in Corralejo, although you may get a pool the old town is much nicer.
Overall we were very pleased with the apartment and the area of Corralejo it is in and would recommend it to our family and friends. All communication with Bridget were very good and there is plenty of local information in a welcome book in the apartment.
The only thing I would personally like to see is wireless internet access in the apartment, but there are a few bars, cafes in Corralejo where you can get it if need be.
I have taken some photos of the apartment and the resort which I have put on my flickr account, just search for the user "jacetheace". -

To sum up the apartment and location in one word - fabulous! Our holiday exceeded our expectations and we would love to return.
Brigid (the owner) gave all the info needed before our holiday. We didn't need to contact her when we were away but I'm sure she would have got back to us and helped where she could. She seems to be good at listening to feedback - some of the other reviewers had commented on only having one set of keys and she now has two sets - it was a great improvement as we are two couples so we could both go and do our own thing and come and go as we pleased.
The apartment itself is great. It's really modern and very clean. The kitchen was new and clean and very well equipped - everything you could possibly need (including a dishwasher). The master bedroom is really roomy and it was great having the patio outside. We had a BBQ one night on the patio - it was great and everything we needed was there. There was also a beach mat and parasol (don't pay 9euros at the beach - just take it with you!)
The location of the apartment was great for us - we think it's the best place to be in corralejo. The apartment is in the 'old' part of town - which is gorgeous. There are lots of lovely local bars and restaurants and it is quieter than the 'new' part of town. However the 'new' part of town is joined on to the old part and it takes less than five minutes to walk to the new part of town (more on Corralejo in a minute...) Some people had commented on the activity centre across the road. We arrived on the Friday night and there were a few young people coming and going but they in no way were noisy or intimidating. We found it to be the opposite - the young people seemed really nice and it was great to see them taking part in positive activities. It in no way had a negative impact on our holiday. The area itself is lovely and laid back and we never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. It's probably the safest we've felt on holiday.
We had never been to Fuereventura before, but we loved it and think Corralejo was definitely the best choice. The area has a great mix of shops (including a Zara and Mango!!) and a great mix of bars and restaurants, we would recommend the steak house across from Mango - it was amazing! Also the Cafe de Paris does the most amazing huge cakes at very cheap prices. My husband and Dad loved hiring kayaks from the harbour area across from the apartment. The beach was also lovely but in February the sea was a bit chilly to go in - however that didn't stop the two men snorkeling and looking at all the fish. We went to hire bikes on the second last day and they were all out - so get bikes booked on your first day because it's unlikely that you will get bikes on the day you go in.
There was only one negative and we weren't sure about putting it in as it is completely out with the owners control, but trip advisor is all about giving a rounded picture. The neighbors had a huge dog (Doberman I think) and it was often out on the patio for hours, it was taller than the dividing wall and would have it's paws up barking over the wall at us. My Mum and I are scared of dogs as it is, and if the dog was on the patio we had to go inside with the door closed. The dog never jumped the wall but it easily could have if it had felt like it. However that apartment is up for sale so they may move pretty soon and if so then the apartment is pretty much perfect!
Overall it was a fabulous holiday and we would love to come back time and time again. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. And a big thank you to Brigid!Response from Brigid - 03/30/2011

Hi Chris I am glad you enjoyed your holiday. I am sorry about the dog. I did not know about him untill your email. Vincent and I are going to the apartment shortly and we are going to see what we can do. We will at least make sure he can not look or get over the wall. Brigid
30/3/2011We have raised the wall between the apartments a little, so the dog can not look over. She is actually a nice dog, very friendly and very well trained, as is the miniture doberman that lives with her and they don't bark a lot.

Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Wonderful location near harbour and bathing/swimming beach.
The flat is modern and has many eating/drinking places within 5 minutes.
We found the local kids using the sports centre actoss the street to be friendly and their play in no way reduced our enjoyment of the flat.
The only (minor) drawback is that guests are given only one entrance key. It should also be noted that, while there is a lift to the second floor, the roof balcony can only be reached by a narrow stair and is not really suitable for the some disabled persons. Aso the roof balcony is only reached via the roof top bed room so there could be issues with a mixed group.Response from Brigid - 01/19/2011

lovely apartment, very clean and extremely close to the bay at correljo. There are great restaurants and bars on the doorstep, but not near enough to hear bar noise. Only negative would be the sports centre directly opposite the apartment which is used daily by lots of youngsters for football, basketball etc. There is continual noise from the centre, which spoiled late afternoon/early evening and we had to close the patio doors to block it out. However it is only used for sport and not raves so harmless noise. We had a great holiday.

This is a nice, clean, spacious apartment in a good location. The breeze is very nice when the windows are open. However, being located across from the recreation center means you get some noise when the windows are open. Overall, a nice place and Brigid easy to deal with.

Where to begin. Brigid is terrific. She was helpful from day one, maps, information, all question answered. She was so very friendly and made me feel great about our stay in Correlejo. We had never used a service like this before so we were a bit hesitant at first, but now we are so glad we took this route. I have 2 small children and the house was perfect for all of us and still plenty of room left over! We loved sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the view and the apartment is in the best location! We walked from one side of Correlejo to the other with no problems. The great part was that once we reached the otherside we were so greatfull as to the location of the apartment.
The apartment is in a quiet location but just a minute (literally!) walk to great restuarants and the beach. We were able to walk to the harbor and take a ferry to the other islands in less than 5 minutes and seems that everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles. The local tourist information center is just down the street a well as the bus stops and grocery stores. We really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this apartment to everyone! Actually I have already recommeneded it to most of my family and my best friends!
I cannot speak highly enough of my experience! The house was beautifully decorated and well equipped and a perk for my children was the Disney channel had shows in English!
There is no need to rent a car, or dine out all the time by choosing this apartment! It really was spectacular and the tours in the area are great!
Once again, Brigid is so friendly and helpful and made sure we had a wonderful stay. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Love it! -

ShrewsburyThe other Corralejo
Left on 07/15/2010 for a stay in June 2010
If you know the town and are used to Waikiki and the Blue Bay Palace effect, this will seem very different, as the apartment is located immediately opposite the port. You are in the heart of Corralejo, just two minutes walk to two of the best Spanish restaurants on the island with just another two minutes to the petrol station at the start of Main Street. (One minute to the nearest cash machine and and easy stroll to any of three supermarkets). In other words, five minutes or so walk will get you to every important restaurant, bar or shop in the town. This includes the San Miguel Cervezaria which is easily the best free entrance bar/live music venue in Corralejo. Trust me. No more "who is not going to drink so they can drive home" etc.
Because you are in the area the locals live, you will get some occasional noise from the sports centre opposite and from the five-a-side football pitch up the road. However, you will also have the amazing experience of regularly strolling through the Spanish main square, with its childrens play equipment and where the local people hang out in the evening with their virtually tourist free bars and restaurants. Try them - you will be surprised by the welcome you get and you can experience some real local Canarian cooking.
We found this a very welcome change from the usual Brit oriented holiday accommodation and would recommend it to anyone with a slightly different take on Spain. The big roof terrace (private to the apartment) is sunny all day and the master bedroom (with en suite shower room) opens out onto it. Amazing for an early morning stretch, coffee and view of the sea and Lanzarote.
Smashing holiday.

Excellent location homely apartment we had
excellent service and communication from Brigid
prior to our arrival and any problems or questions
we had were answered quickly. The is really homely
with essentials you have at home in the apartment.
It is comfortable and spacious. Even though theres
no pool we were only a 2 minute walk from the
beach. The fact that there was no pool didn't bother
us.The apartment is in a really good location just
down the road from 2 supermarkets. The apartment is
just 2 minute walk from the town centre and we were
very near bars and restaurants. The apartment is
also only about 5 minute walk from the bus stop
which run's buses to all parts of the island. We
were across the road from the ferry across to
lanzarote. The bedrooms were very comfortable and
spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed.
We had a big balcony and we used to sit out there
every night when we came back from town. The
tourist office is all within few minute walk from
the apartment. There are many good restaurants with
a very high quality of food including good
vegetarian dishes. We liked the location it was out
of the hustle and bustle of the town centre but
near enough to go every night. We enjoyed ourselves
that much we have already booked to go this year
and are looking forward to going again
