Surrounded by the enchanting Tuscan countryside, next to a large orchard, woods and terraces of olive trees, Molbena house is the ideal place to fully relax in a luxuriant nature, away from the chaos and crowding, but still being a few minutes away from the artistic treasures of Cortona and the several food and wine trails that the Val di Chiana has to offer.

The villa has recently been renovated and restored in all its plants and facilities, and has also been equipped with every comfort to offer the most enjoyable stay.

Molbena consists of 4 large bedrooms, two with double bed, for a total of 8 beds. It also has 5 bathrooms, a la...rge lounge, a kitchen and a dining room.

There is also has a large swimming pool with a springboard a few metres from the house, next to the orchard.

The house also features a hybrid heating system (solar-diesel), air conditioning, a large traditional fireplace, TV, free Wi-Fi internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven.Read more

Additional Location Information

Molbena house lies at the border of a big mountain territory full of woods and olive trees terraces, overlooking the beautiful Val di Chiana. This placing confers a wealth of fauna and vegetation in an absolutely relaxing environment.

Apart from relaxing and tasting the amazing local food and wine, there are also a lot places to visit in the area.
You can visit an incredible number of medieval and Renaissance towns and villages with their lovely architecture and pieces of art.

But the area doesn't have only picturesque ancient towns, museums and historical sites, it also offers opportunities to do some interesting activities, that could spice up your holidays, like horse riding, cycling, walking/trekking and even rafting!

To reach Molbena house you'd need a car. The house has a private parking place.

(*) Prices are per person per week, except in High season when the price is only for the entire property (maximum 8 people) per week and is equal to 1.500 Euros (188 x 8) or 2.500 Euros (312 x 8), depending on the period.

Except for the High season, the prices are applied on a minimum of 4 people (less than 4 people are welcome but will be charged as if they are 4).

Rentals go from saturday to saturday, except in mid and low season, when the changeover day can be flexible.
All prices displayed are in Euros.

A security deposit is required at the time of booking and must be equal to the 30% of the total balance or to 500 euros if the total balance is less than 1.500 euros

  A simply stunning Tuscan farmhouse

  Quite simply the most amazing villa.
  
  We stayed at Molbena (as a group of six adults) for two weeks in mid September 2012 & cannot recommend this property highly enough. The photos both on here (Tripadvisor) & on the owner’s own website look fantastic, but believe me, the reality is way, way better.
  
  Firstly let me say that everything about the booking etc was handled superbly with any emails or queries responded to very promptly by Francesco.
  
  Flying into Pisa & then having driven down to Cortona, we were met by one of the family who escorted us the last part of the way to the house itself. Once through the electric security gates, the road to the house is then a five minute steep, hairpin, loose stone track through the woods. A word of warning here: don’t even bother with second gear unless you are in a 4x4…..you will stall!!! The drive though is more than rewarded when the house finally comes into view. A beautiful, typically Tuscan, stone farmhouse with stunning panoramic views across the valley & beyond.
  
  Inside, the house has absolutely everything you could wish for. The bedrooms are absolutely massive, the bathrooms (each room has it’s own ensuite) are modern & spotless & there are any number of huge rooms downstairs that we simply never used. The well laid out large kitchen, the superb outdoor barbecue area & probably the biggest outdoor dining table you will ever see were all that was needed.
  
  Mornings (or sometimes full days) were spent exploring the many stunning places within easy reach of this superbly located villa. Siena, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio, Pierle (a little unknown gem of a village only ten minutes down the valley) & of course just wandering the steep streets of Cortona itself, followed by lazy afternoons soaking up the hot Tuscan sun next to the verging on Olympic size swimming pool…even if the water was maybe a little cold! Evenings were simply fabulous: a barbecue, plenty of very good local red wine, a sunset each evening that simply took your breath away with the intensity of it’s colours, a view to die for of the twinkling lights way off in the valley below & the nightly ritual of the wild boar coming down from the hills to feast on the over-ripe figs, pomegranates & apples that we scattered for them only feet from where we sat.
  
  This was our second visit to this area, but our first at Molbena. All I can say is we cannot wait to stay here again.
