Description from the manager
The best feature of this Cortona villa is, without a doubt, the endless, unobstructed view over the valley below-- literally one of the best panoramas we have ever seen. And the villa itself isn't too shabby, either! With a private swimming pool, comfy living area, and close proximity to Cortona, which is where the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" starring Diane Lane takes place as well as the book it's based off of by Frances Mayes, this villa for rent provides everything you need for a relaxing family vacation. Pick up groceries and barbecue dinner with an amazing view at this Tuscany villa, or meander into town and try one of the many deliciou...Read more

Vista Infinita was just perfect! Nicoletta and Beppi (the owners and next door neighbors) were so helpful. It was great to be able to walk into Cortona, although it is not a very easy walk. The view is spectacular and we loved just sitting on the lawn and admiring it.
The view and the town of Cortona. It is a very special place.
We never got tired of Cortona. There are so many great restaurants, shops, bars, etc. Everytime we left to explore other places in Tuscany, we came racing back to Cortona and appreciated it even more! -

Much better than expected.
View, cleanliness, owners.
The climb to the villa was not lighted and the last few hundred meters are narrow.
Cortona is wonderful; it's within walking distance. -

Vista Infinita was a perfect spot for our family. Easy walking distance to the town of Cortona 10 minutes, a great pool, and an incredible view of the valley and lake below.
Proximity to Cortona. Wonderful pool. Beautiful grounds.
Beds could be more comfortable. Extra linens would be nice.
Cortona is a wonderful town to walk to with great restaurants, friendly people, and hidden gems at every turn. -

We had a great time! The villa was beautiful with a nice flat lawn for bocce playing which we brought with us and an outside grill to cook on. The rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed a variety of experiences including a cooking lesson at our place - excellent!.
We loved having a great panoramic view of the valley below. In addition, having access to a swimming pool was great, especially since we had some warm June days.
The kitchen was fairly small. We had a cooking lesson at our villa, which worked only because there is a eating area right by the kitchen that we used for the prep work.
We liked being able to walk easily into town - 10 min. Cortona was a great little place with fun little shops and delicious restaurants. We also found many towns, Assisi and Arezzo, and vineyards to explore nearby. -

It was fabulous. This is our 3rd Rentvillas villa and they have never let us down.
The view is stunning. The house is close to Cortona - a 5 minute walk, yet you feel removed from the town itself.
The property was lovely.
Cortona is beautiful with loads of art and beautiful old houses up the steep brick roads. Florence is just an hour drive away and very easy to reach. -

Can't believe I have not done this sooner. It is such a different experience sharing a house with friends where cooking together and casual hanging out add a dimension not available in other types of travel including hotels or cruises. I was very happy with Rentvillas. I arrived and knew exactly what to expect and felt well prepared to get the most out of the experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
It was exactly as stated. A beautiful 300 year old stone farmhouse only a 10 minute walk up a hillside gravel road from the town's main street and bus stop. It was clean, well equipped, and loaded with charm. There were plenty of spaces to gather or scatter as our group of 5 adults discovered.
We forgot flashlights which would have been helpful for walking up the road on dark evenings. As we had chosen the location specifically to avoid driving and car rental, we were prepared to walk. Some might find the hike up to the house a little daunting if they have mobility issues or lots of luggage. For those people. a rental car would take care of those issues.
Friendly people everywhere we went. Great options for restaurants as well as stores to buy food for cooking in. Excellent location for taking bus to surrounding towns. Any one who has investigated the Italian Hill Country can imagine the charming reality of actually being there. We were glad to be there in mid-October past prime tourist season, but still pleasant weather.
