Villa Casale Girifalco, 16th century, is a charming country house, located on an extensive ground (nearly 5 hectares) with a stunning view of the Valdichiana valley. Perched on the terraced slopes of olive groves, it guarantees you complete privacy and tranquility, while at the same time being at walking distance from the medieval heart of Cortona and its Etruscan walls. Its strategic position makes it a unique holiday home for those who don't want to use the car every day and also for those who want to enjoy the beauty of Tuscan landscape. Once can easily reach all major cities by car or by train such as Montepulciano (30 km), Siena (70 km),... Montalcino (50 km), Assisi (70 km), Arezzo (25 km), Florence (100 km) from Camucia train station (5 km), Terontola train station (10 km).

Casale Girifalco is the ideal location for relaxing and stress-free-holidays. On the property there are footpaths for trekking or one can just relax by the panoramic swimming pool (4X8) surrounded by flowers, from where it's possible to enjoy unforgettable sunsets.

The Villa has large French doors (all with insect screen) which open onto the front garden unfolding with terracing and lawns.

Restoration work was completed summer 2008 and all furnishing were personally and carefully picked by the owner among them valuable genuine family antique pieces. The mansion served up to the 18th century as a post house known as the " Locanda del Girifalco " where the wayfarers could spend a night under cover. The mansion (a beautiful antique stone country house ) has retained notable 16th century trimmings.

The Villa ( 250mq ) develops on two floors;the ground floor accommodates the living area with entrance, reading corner, large hall with living room and dining area, a large open fireplace, fully equipped live-in kitchen and a guest toilet.

A few steps to access a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower cabin. On the upper floor find a small study room, a large living room with an old stone fireplace, and three double bedrooms: one has an en-suite bathroom with shower cabin and two bedrooms share one bathroom with shower and tub.

Furthermore, on the ground floor, not connected internally with the rest of the villa, is a cozy living room, with direct access to the front garden through a large French door, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and two double bedrooms, each with private bathroom, one with shower cabin, and one with shower and tub. All beds may be double or twin. All rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the front garden through large French doors.

  Our month in Tuscany was a dream come true. The villa was even better than the pictures. Manuella and her right hand man Carlo always had a ready smile and cheerful response to our questions. Manuella's first restaurant recommendation led us to our favorite tuscan restaurant, la Bucaccia, in Cortona. Carlo even gave us an apprenticeship in olive harvesting. We loved the walks through the orchards to the center of Cortona. We had many terrific times with family and friends, which were greatly enhanced by the lovely Casale Girifalco and it's private beautiful location.
