      How Peaceful!

Left on 06/16/2013 for a stay in May 2013

As you take the meandering drive to Rushing Waters, you pass by a lovely local home with beautiful landscaping. Then you open your car door to a quite, peaceful setting. When you first walk into Rushing Waters, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful view of the trees, stream, and pathway to the waterfalls. And then you look up to see the canopy bed. Wow!

Coffee on the porch in the morning is relaxing.

If you go east towards Crosby, turn north when you have to make a decision, travel on to the Foothills Parkway and take it east (the only way it goes). This is a very beautiful drive, beautiful views, and I can only imagine having a picnic, coffee, or just a 'sit' at one of the pullouts along the parkway.

Now a few of the negatives (sorry anne, but I think they could be a quick fix). There are a couple of lower cabinet doors that do not shut as the hinges are sprung. The upper cabinets look like they are falling off the wall. The bathroom is not ventilated so it gets quite steamy. The mattress has a very noisy plastic sheet on it and the mattress is kind of lumpy. One of my biggest complaints about vacation rentals is that they all have closets but with few or no hangers. You have 4 closets with maybe 5 hangers. I'm sure renters make the hangers disappear (shame on them), but hangers are cheap and should be replaced and available. Especially for those you spend a week at your rental. The wifi did not work as the signal was not strong enough.

Now the biggest draw back of Rushing Waters for me. The beautiful window had a great big multi-streak of 'something' on the left pain. It was hard to enjoy the view when looking past the yuk and impossible to take a picture in the morning as the sun coming thru the window only made the yuk look worse!

Anne, if I had a rental I would want to know these things and that is why I gave it a very good. From the other reviews, I was expecting an excellent rental.

We had a good time and thank you.

      Wonderfull view from cabin

Left on 06/02/2013 for a stay in May 2013

We spent five nights at Rushing waters. The view of the river from the cabin was wonderful. We enjoyed opening the windows at night and falling asleep to sound of the running water. The location was very peaceful and relaxing. There is a park bench next to the river where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings. There is also a short trail (aprox 100') that leads to a very nice waterfall. It is like having your own private waterfall at your cabin.

The cabin is right next door to the Laurelwood Falls cabin. There were no other cabins within view. The one disadvantage to this is that there is no privacy in the hot tub if someone is staying in the cabin next door. The side windows of the Laurelwood Falls cabin faces directly toward the hot tub. Other than that, there was no major issues with this cabin.

There was a few minor maintainance issues during our stay. The hot tub was not working when we arrived. However it was fixed the same day it was reported. Also some of the lights did not work upstairs.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

      The Perfect Getaway !!

Left on 11/12/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Had stayed in Pigeon Forge for two days and was not the getaway we were expecting nor needing. Found Rushing Waters and we were lucky enough that Ms. Anne had a cancelation. Rushing Waters was just what we needed. Beautiful and Relaxing !! The tub in the bedroom was very romantic. The cabin had everything you could need (towels, kitchen).

If you want a stay close to the noise of the "strip", If you like the bumper to bumper traffic right outside of your "vacation" door. Then don't stay at Rushing Waters. But if you want a true relaxing, beautiful stay then you found it with Rushing Waters !!

We plan on returning to this perfect getaway !!

The perfect place to fall in love with your Husband all over aga

Left on 08/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Everything went smoothly. The directions were accurate and gps friendly. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It was decorated with the owner anne Fontaines artwork. We enjoyed the hot tub and the deck every nite and the porch and rockers every morning. The rushing stream was magical for us. That is where my husband gifted me with a chocolate diamond ring to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We are still giddy from our time there. We certainly plan to make that our vacation rental every year when we return to the Smoky Mountains. Our favorite part was not only the beauty of the location but the seclusion. We would recommend this cabin to everyone traveling as a couple. Thank you Rushing Waters, Sincerely Suzonne and Kevin Dail

What a wonderful place to spend a vacation!

Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in June 2012

You will wake up in the morning to the sounds of nature. It's so peaceful to hear the sound of the water rushing over the rocks and the birds chirping. What a relaxing way to spend a vacation. The cabin is simply beautiful and a clean.

The location is also great as you can get to the park and downtown Gatlinburg easily. Also there is a great trolley service that you can take instead of your car to ride through the arts and craft community called The Glades.
