      Comfy and Peaceful

Left on 08/22/2011 for a stay in August 2011

This cottage is perfect for 2 people, it is in a quiet village just outside Pembroke Dock, and is wonderfully located for ease of access to all the local attractions here. There is a very friendly village pub, the Brewery Inn, which serves top class food at reasonable prices. Pembroke Dock has plenty of supermarkets for your supplies.
There is plenty to do in this area: Pembroke Dock was a former Royal Naval Dockyard, and there are forts dotted all around the coastline. Sunderland flying boats were based there during the war, and there is a museum dedicated to them. The walking in this area of South West Wales is extensive, particularly in the nearby national park, and trips can be taken by boat to the local islands to observe the wildlife.
On arriving at the cottage we found a welcome basket containing milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee etc, which was a very kind thought and meant we could have a hot cup of tea after our long journey.
It is well equipped, beautifully presented, very quiet and there are books and Dvds for the entertainment of guests. The headroom upstairs is limited in parts and the stairs are a little steep, but we spent a lot of our time downstairs in the kitchen diner and it wasn't a problem for us. There is a combi oven/grill and microwave and a 2-ring hob which was fine for our cooking needs and we ate out quite a lot as there are plenty of opportunities to do so in the area.
We spent a very quiet, relaxing week here and recommend it.
