This apartment was the perfect retreat for my beach time in the Puerto Plata area. Fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchen utensils and comfortable furnishings, it was a great place to relax (and easily walk to the beach)!
Sabine and her family were incredibly accommodating without being pushy, and I would love to stay here again. -

J'ai contacté Rebecca, la fille de la propriétaire. Elle m'a répondu très rapidement en m'invitant à l'appeler le soir de la maison. Lorsque je l'ai contacté le soir, quel ne fut pas ma surprise de l'entendre me parler en français. On part donc le 19 janvier 2013 pour ne revenir que le 15 mars 2013. On rencontre la propriétaire Sabine, son fils Karl, sa conjointe Roxana et leur fille Tahlia. Cette famille nous a accueilli comme si était des leurs. On s'est senti immédiatement "chez-nous". Sabine nous avait déjà acheté les nécessités de base (pain, beurre, oeufs, café, etc.). Nous avons eu le privilège de rencontrer aussi Rebecca car ils sont venus passer 3 semaines à Ola del Mar. Pendant leurs vacances, ils ont organisé une Fiesta pour tout leurs locataires. Merci Sabine, Karl, Roxana, Rebecca ET Dave. Que dire aussi de la propreté des condos. Un gros Merci à Martha. Costambar: La plage de Costambar est très belle et bien entretenue. Costambar, c'est une petite ville aux abords d'une plus grande. On peut tout y trouver!!! Que ce soit des épiceries, des médicaments, etc. Le super mercado Jenny's possède tout ce qui est nécessaire. Les restaurants de Costambar: Le Sol-O-Mio: Excellente bouffe. La Minerva: C'est, selon nous, le meilleur resto de Costambar. Le Trettoria: Restaurant de pâtes. Le Banana Place: Les pâtes sont super bonnes !!! El Carey: Petit resto sur la plage. Excellent poulet rôti et grillé, excellente assiette de crevettes à l'ail. Costambar possède aussi plusieurs petits bars. Il y a un service de taxi directement à Costambar. J'avais lu beaucoup de commentaires comme quoi Costambar n'était pas plus qu'un guetto... Laissez-moi vous dire que, si ça a déjà été le cas, ce ne l'est plus ! Les rues sont propres, il est très plaisant de s'y promener. Ola DEL mar: En résumé: Merci mes amis et Hasta Luego car je sais que ce n'est pas un adieu, qu'on va se revoir un jour.

Sabine and her family where more then host's of this wonder place, they made you feel like family. The apt had everything you needed and was a great break away. great location near the beach.

Me, my girlfriend and her son recently spent five days at Ola Del Mar. Carlos came and picked us up at the Puerto Plata bus station when we arrived and drove us to the apartment. I liked the private beach which was not as crowded as a commercial beach. Sabine took us on a tour of Puerto Plata and then dropped us off at the entrance of the Teleferico mountain lift nearby. There is a casino nearby at Ocean World in Confresi which I went to. The apartment had everything you needed for a nice stay. We were quite pleased by the hosptality we recieved from Sabine and her family and look foward to returning.

The apartment was a large one bedroom stocked with everything that you have at home, nothing was missing. What I really liked was the easy access to the beach, a two minute walk. Restaurants and bars were very close. It was very safe amongst the tourists and local people, even at night. The area is very quiet at night. The owners of this apartment building would also do your laundry and clean the unit every week. Yes, I would recommend this building. the owners are very nice.

The place was clean, and nice. They helped us out with whatever we needed. Helped us get started with groceries, showed us all the great places to go. the beach is only a 2 min walk away, gorgeous place. Friendly staff, close to some great surf spots and tourist towns. Definitely recommend staying here!

I have traveled to the Dominican Republic several times before and have stayed in other places in Puerto Plata but this is one is a hidden gem. The location is great with respect to security, the beach and eating establishments. The staff is extremely friendly and basically treats you like family.
I arrived extremely late (around 11pm) during the heavy rain but the staff was there waiting for me and made sure I got properly settled in and had a good night's rest. The next day the staff was there bright and early to attend to my needs. The apartment was clean and spacious. The only problem I had was that the water pressure in the shower went out due to a power outage however; the staff immediately began working on the problem by using their generator and allowed me to shower in another unit so I would not be inconvenienced. By the time I got back to my apartment from visiting during the day everything was fixed and I had no additional problems with the water pressure, temperature or anything else.
I also forgot to bring an umbrella during the heavy rains and the staff allowed me to borrow one that was on site. These may seem like little things to some, but to me it shows the type of hospitality that is shown by the owner and staff. As a businessman I have learned that people do business with me not because they have to, but because they want to. And when you genuinely care about your clients/customers it shows and it makes them want to do business with you. The owners and staff at Ola Del Beach apartments really care about their customers.
Trust me on this, they will do everything in their power to help you enjoy your stay; because they care about there customers.
I look forward to staying with them again and would highly recommend facility to all.

This was our first stay in the Dominican Republic... and we lucked out! Comfortable, friendly and affordable (and great views) but most of all we felt at home in a wonderful community which Sabine epitomizes... loved the fact that it felt like being in a small neighbourhood and not a hi-end touristy area... very laid back beach, apartment, small good cafes (Sol amio has great food and wine) and lifestyle. The night before we left Sabine hosted a barbecue for everyone - Luciano's salads and maranate were great (yes we know Swiss potato salad is the best. We had to deal at times with the usual brown outs in electricity, sometimes low water pressure for showers so grab them when you can, and a minimally cold fridge (which was fixed right away; Sabine took it all in her stride, got things fixed and taught us new coping skills in a developing country. The apartment was always cleaned up beautifully, my laundry was hung to dry (there is a washing machine to use), I learned about using leaves from the backyard Guanabana tree for tea and a car rental was arranged for us. With wonderful service and a great place like Ola del Mar to stay in, I would never stay in a all-inclusive resort again ...I look forward to coming again.

J'en suis a ma deuxième période hivenale au Ola Del Mar.Tout pour plaire,endroit bien aménagé,vaste, propre et que dire de la gentillesse de la propriétaire Mme Sabine.Toujours prete a rendre sevice. De plus, les logements sont situées dans un endroit sécurisé, a quelques pas de la plage, du terraoin de golf et d'un petit marché.

Sabine's Condo was a relaxing get away from the fast pace of Toronto life. A Beautiful breezy condo, with large windows and a beautiful view of the ocean from the upper floors. The apartments are clean, well furnished and very spacious. A 2 minute walk from the beach, this location is ideal for a quiet vacation in the gate community of Costambar. Rooms are air-conditioned and the condos are supported by a backup water and power system. The owner Sabine was very helpful in giving us advice on everything from a car rental to where to shop... You won't regret your stay at Ola Del Mar...

Ola del Mar apartments was my home away from home from November 23 to December 6, 2011. My husband could not get time off and I wanted to get away before baby #2, so my 6 year old daughter and I decided to do a girls trip. The apartment is kept very clean and the lady that owns the place is very helpful. The apartment is dated and sometimes there is a shortage of hot water but everything else was great! The apartment was kept clean, all the equipment needed to cook was there. The apartment is very close to the beach and there are some great beach restaurants. If you want to do a big shop, the large grocery shops are a cheap cab ride away and there is also a great little grocery shop right in the gated community of Costambar. The cleaning lady kept my room super clean, she even did my laundry!! The wifi worked great and I really enjoyed this trip compared to an all-inclusive experience because I felt more at home (especially when travelling with a little one). I felt very safe leaving my things in the room and I felt that the owner always had my best interest in mind (she was always trying to get me the cheapest cab rides, or pick things up for me if she was heading out) she really wanted me to have a great experience and gave me much direction when it comes to dining, excursions, etc.

We have been twice and enjoyed both times.
The place has the necessary comforts of home.
It's peaceful and only about a 2 minute walk to the beach.
We felt safe.
Taxis are easily available.

Wir waren vom 6.Jänner -29 März im appartement Nr.5, von Frau Sabine
Warthland.
Das appartement hat eine angenehme Größe uns ist sauber.
Das Schlafzimmer liegt ruhig, das Bad ist mit Dusche WC. u. Waschbecken ausgestattet. Die Wohnküche ist praktisch u. Ideal für
Selbstverpflegen.Der Supermarkt ist 10 Minuten entfernt und bietet
alles für das Tägliche Leben.
Zum Meer sind es 3-5 Minuten und der Strand ist Kilometer lang, das Wasser ist sauber, und Ideal für Nichtschwimmer.
Uns hat der aufenthalt gut getan, und wir würden wieder kommen. -

Esta bien cerca de todo. Mi familia y yo pasamos una semana de vacaciones inigualables. Esta cerca de Ocean World, Fortaleza San Felipe, Teleferico, Funcity, etc. etc.
Hay playas a 100 metros y la vivienda es muy limpia.
Nos encantó y la recomendamos.
