Every detail has been considered when decorating, furnishing and equipping this stylish villa. The decor takes its lead from the ecru palette and there are comfortable sofas and elegant soft furnishings throughout. The kitchens are thoughtfully equipped with everything you'll need whether you're cooking in the summer kitchen with its stone BBQ oven, fridge, electric oven and hot plates or inside in the main kitchen. The choice, as they say, is yours. There's a spacious dining area with French windows overlooking the terrace and the groves beyond. This beautiful villa with its adjacent guesthouse offers the most flexible arrangements for a couple of families sharing, a large extended family with different generations or a group of friends. The main house has an en suite double room and a large en suite room with four singles, with the guest house having its own en suite double too. Each and every bedroom is large light and airy and exquisitely furnished. In fact they have a very romantic feel indeed. There's a wood burning stove with a plentiful supply of complimentary wood at your disposal, plus electric heating throughout for out-of-season self-catering breaks.

Mas Le Chêne is the perfect base to enjoy the many breathtaking sights and a wide array of activities The Var region has to offer. In Le Haut Var, perched high in the mountains you can explore delightful medieval villages aplenty. There are lots of hiking, biking and trekking routes in the Gorges du Verdon together with vast forests. Stop for a while to notice exotic truffles and mushrooms. You might even glimpse a wild boar! For those who prefer a spot of fishing, canoeing or swimming there are many lakes, rivers and waterfalls in the area to explore. What's more there's a beautiful 18 hole golf course just 20 minutes away at Barbaroux. The chi-chi resorts of St.Tropez and St.Maxime are an hour's drive away as is the more down-to-earth port city of Marseille. However we save the best until last. If you enjoy your wine, last count there are are 37,000 (approximately 90,000 acres) of vineyards operated by 450 different vintners in the region. So there's more to explore in more ways than one!

  Imagine your dream house in Provence, and it will be still far from what we've experienced as a family at Mas Le Chêne! During two weeks we felt like proper French locals, going to the local markets to buy fresh products, taking long walks in the splendid countryside around the villa... More than often we had the horizon for ourselves! The house is so nice to live, with outside kitchen and seating areas, a wonderful pool and delightful views over vineyards and olive groves. We felt really sad to leave at the end of our stay, as if we were leaving behind a little bit of ourselves! We'll be back no doubt!
