Med / UKAttractive and comfortable cabin in a great location
Left on 04/05/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Stayed in Main with friends for a weekend in order to explore the prairie. Cabin is beautifully furnished, fully kitted out large kitchen, one double bedroom, another bedroom with day bed that can sleep 2 when pulled out, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. Music can be piped throughout, even on to the porch, and the cabin is warm and welcoming. Bbq, outside eating area and even a treadmill all available for use.
The little town of cottonwood falls is about 2 minutes walk, with the larger town of Strong City only a mile up the road. Emma's cafe for fried catfish is a must, and the old courthouse is worth visiting. The prairie walks are lovely, even in cold wet weather!
Pat and Kris make organising your trip and paying etc very easy, and the cupcakes waiting on arrival is a nice touch. A very good handover and useful information and numbers provided, then you are left to enjoy the place in private.
This is a lovely place to stay if you are looking for accommodation in this area. -

HutchinsonGreat Hospitality!
Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My husband and I decided to stay here for a Christmas gift to each other. We have talked for years about taking a short trip from Hutchinson Ks. to wonder through the beautiful Flint Hills. Best gift ever! The Flint Hills were lovely, but the people in this little town were so kind and friendly. Anywhere from Emma's Cafe to the Grand Hotel reestaurant! Most of all...A very special thank you to Pat and Kris Larkin. Their cottage was full of Christmas beauty everywhere you looked. They were so kind to us from the time we got there to the time we left. Kris even brought us farm fresh eggs. (Which help make wonderful homemade cookies.) we enjoyed every minute of our stay. You know we will be back again. =0)

Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Our stay at the Fox Hollow was a relaxing weekend from the city. All of our comforts were met, but, surprisingly, we didn't watch TV, even on a rainy weekend. We simply enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings and entertained ourselves with conversation, nature, laughter, and good food at the new restaurant in Strong City, just a mile north of Cottonwood Falls. We highly recommend the Lark Inns for any occasion!

We had a greats time staying in the lark inn during our stay in the Flint Hills. The cabin had everything we needed for a wonderful restful stay and Pat and Kris were so helpful making sure we knew of activities in the neighbourhood. We stayed here as part of a 7 week tour of the USa and Canada and it was the perfect place to relax and explore a wonderful area.

Austin, TXThe sweet spot in Chase Co!
Left on 05/28/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We loved our stay at Lark Inn. Pat and Kris are super conscientious owners and hosts and have made a very comfortable, stylish and convenient place to stay in a great part of the country that doesn't have many such places to choose from. The kitchen is incredibly stocked, the Tempur-Pedic bed beyond comfortable, front porch rockers and back patio furniture is great. Pat even loaned us his map book of Kansas back roads until we could purchase one of our own. The only problem is that we wanted to be out seeing the prairie and exploring all day and into the sunset hours, and didn't get to spend enough time in our charming little house.

There are two houses to choose from the LarkInn on Main Street and the LarkInn at Fox Hollow. They are within shouting distance to each other. They share some common yard. Both houses can sleep 5 to 6 people comfortably in a rustically charming decor. If you're clever you'll book to coincide with one of the Larkins' fabulous Gourmet Cooking Classes, or book them both for a Family Reunion. Located in the gorgeous historical Flint Hills of Kansas there are many things to see and do, fishing, antique-ing, hiking and seeing the last of the Prairie! There is live music for free on Friday nights and a couple of new restaurants in the area for those of you who've been here before! This is one of the friendliest towns you've ever visited, with an historical courthouse that has been in continual use since it was built in the mid-1800's. Book now because they get filled quickly!!

Left on 11/01/2011 for a stay in May 2011
This was an ideal place to stay for a long, restful weekend in a picturesque setting. We saw the foxes twice, ran around downtown (museum, Emma Chase Cafe), hiked and enjoyed sitting out back drinking tea and watching all the birds. The guest house is a gloriously furnished, immaculate, comfortable lodging. We would definitely return. It was one of our best Memorial Day weekends ever.

Pat and Kris Larkin were the perfect absent hosts!
The LarkInn and Fox Hollow houses were perfect for our group of ten. One of the guests wanted to move in full time! From the initial arrival to final departure the experience could not have been better. The college kids loved the tempurpedic beds!
