La Terrasse de Coucy is a luxury cottage with terrace, wonderful view on the ruins of the Castle and the Vallée de Coucy.

Located in Uptown Coucy le Château, this lovely 5-room independant house made of cut stone can accommodate 4 people. The house is located 20 kms (12 miles) away from Soissons, 30 kms (18 miles) from Laon, 70 kms (43 miles) from Reims and 120 kms (74 miles) from Paris.

UPSTAIRS :

1 bedroom with King Size bed (180x200), 1 suite with King Size bed (180x200). Both beds can also be used as 4 independent beds.

Bathroom, rest room, laundry with washing machine.

Smaller bed in a smaller bedroom adjacent to the suite.

The house is located uptown of one of the nicest village in Picardy.
The street is very quiet, very nice and typical.
There is a French bakery, restaurants, café and a market place.
You just have to walk 2 minutes away from the house and you will be immersed in the history of France in the middle of an historic castel !

  I'm privileged to be the first american to stay at La Terrasse de Coucy which opened in summer 2012. The reviews are unanimous...there's something quite special and unique about this place and its owners, Richard and Fernanda Gamba that exceed expectations and leave guests with glowing memories of their stay. It's spacious, quiet, private and comfortable. It's quaint yet modern and outfitted with everything a business traveler needs: fast internet, free international calls, television with the option for american channels, a well-outfitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and a wonderful expresso machine and a security alarm system even though Coucy is a place where you can probably leave your doors open without worry. It has a beautifully landscaped backyard and terrace atop the original castle wall with a breathtaking and romantic view. The cottage is located on a side street with free parking ten feet from the front door. The post office, a cash machine, and two restaurants are less than a minute walk. Grocery stores, gas stations and other shopping are all located 15 minutes or less from the cottage. Richard and Fernanda understand and like americans and at the same time understand the needs of the business traveler. They both speak English. Richard is the agent and manager for a number of well-known musical acts in France and has traveled extensively in the us. Fernanda was, until a few years ago, the sales manager at Charles De Gaulle airport for a large airline service company. They are an excellent resource for anything that the business traveler may need while in France. Beyond this, they are charming, lovely, honest and exceptionally caring people who will bend over backwards to make their guests feel pampered and happy. If you are lucky enough to stay at La Terrasse de Coucy you will never forget this charming home away from home and its owners Richard and Fernanda.
