The Old Coastguard Lookout was a very comfortable, well equipped and welcoming cottage.Stunning views out to sea, watching ships go by, local bird life (they enjoyed being fed on the balcony!) The upside down layout of the cottage is ideal as the lounge and kitchen are upstairs giving you the splendid views. As it has a spiral staircase I would not recommend this to people with mobility problems. As there is no garden I would not recommend the cottage for families with children. The walk to Cove Harbour was enjoyable a lovely little bay where you walk through a tunnel to reach the beach. A 2 minute drive to Pease Bay caravan park where they have a shop and pub/restaurant with good meals. Also there is a shop in Cockburnspath for newspapers, milk, bread etc but for a larger shop there is Asda a 10 miniute drive. On the same complex is a garden centre and pub/restaurant.
