This detached barn conversion is located on a working farm in Coxhoe near to Durham and sleeps nine people in four bedrooms. The Shed is a stone and brick built detached barn conversion, set on a working beef and sheep farm on the edge of the village of Coxhoe just six 6 miles from Durham. Boasting four bedrooms (three with en-suite facilities) and a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep up to nine people in style. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

'The Shed' is a fantastic place to stay. We hired the property for my 40th birthday. There is not one thing I would change. The hot tub was also amazing. I will definitely be booking up again in the future!

This is a very spacious property, even for a group of 8. It is done up lovely. With the Wii and loads of Dvd's and books there was enough to do in the house while it was raining outside. The only thing I missed was wifi/internet access, I just assumed it would be there and it was a bit of a nuisance that it wasn’t.

This was one of the most comfortable homes I have had the pleasure to stay in. everything about the property is designed for your comfort. The lovely bed linen, the great bedroom sizes, the tv and all the little Extras such as books and videos etc. the attention to detail doesn't stop there, the fabulous cooker in the kitchen made me wish I could stay much much longer. I couldn't fault this property.

This very spacious rental suited us very well, we were a group of 8 of which 3 children aged 4 -6.
Lots of space for kids to entertain themselves inside and out. Stylish interior design, nice sheets, towels, bedspreads etc.
I appreciated the fact that it was mentioned that some motorway noise can be heard. The weather wasn't so good that we spent time sitting in the garden, so I don't know if the sound would have bothered us. We did have games and sports in the garden without even noticing the sound.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
Tips: the dishwasher is too small for 8 people and didn't clean very well. More sizeable pans would be good. The lighting inside on the groundfloor can be improved in the living room and in particular the dining area was either too dark or too bright.
One last thing that would have made it even better for us: we only needed the house for 4 nights, frustrating to have to pay for the whole week.
