New York CityGood accomodations at a great price.
Left on 03/10/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We rented a car and found that this little house is not far from a major supermarket and Rafael E. Melgar street/road (runs north/south) which provides access to beaches along the west side of the island as well as the ferry and ship terminal. The rooms were clean with nice decor touches. Alex, the manager was most helpful in making arrangements for a snorkeling trip (which was fabulous) and seeing that a ceiling fan was fixed right away. It should be noted that the house has cental air conditioning however we didn't need it. The occasional fan was enough. We would return to Casa Santa Fe and recommend same to friends and family.

Houston, TexasVery Clean & Well-Equipped, Good Service
Left on 02/26/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Casa Santa Fe was very well-equipped, scrupulously clean, and the property management was outstanding. Email communication prior to our visit was excellent, there was plenty of information in the apartment, a very friendly and professional representative met with us the morning after our arrival and provided help to us throughout our visit, and when we had a handful of problems with the apartment, help was sent within an hour. We loved renting an apartment in Cozumel! I've stayed there in an all-inclusive resort before, but this was much more enjoyable for me and my family. We loved having private living space, more privacy and independence, and a kitchen to prepare meals in. The kitchen and bathrooms were equipped with everything we could possibly need. The only thing I could wish for in the bedrooms would be a couple more nice pillows. We parked a car in front of the unit the whole week. We did have a few unpleasant problems with the apartment toward the end of our stay, but the management company did everything they could to resolve them and when some of the problems were un-fixable during our visit (e.g., special parts had to be ordered for the air conditioner), we were compensated to our satisfaction. Our last night in the apartment was challenging with no a/c and some awful smells coming out of the drains in the bathroom, but given how well everything was maintained and how responsive everyone was (maintenance people came twice in the same evening), we really do believe our situation was very unusual and just bad luck, and we would stay here again if we come back to Cozumel. Highly recommended. P.S. The apartment is across the street from a church, which provides beautiful singing and bells during the day, but you may wish to bring earplugs for the early morning bell ringing if you are a light sleeper.

Manager
Thank you for your positive review despite the couple of issues that came up towards the end of your stay. We take pride in our quick response to any issues. We are happy to hear that you were satisfied as well, and that we were able to make up for our embarrassing issues by providing you with one free night.
1) Re the air conditioning. A new air conditioner has been installed. The AC is fully functioning again.
2) Re the bathroom drains. All drains have been cleaned and one drain had new plumbing installed. No more yucky smells!
We look forward to hosting you again. -

I kicked off my 2011 with a trip to Cozumel for some sun, fun, relaxation and good diving. I went four-for-four and the accommodations were a huge part of that. Unlike some other places the a/C worked and there was hot water. The restaurant recs were exceptional. I am still thinking about those .75 cent tacos. After a long day on the boat and beach the cable tv and movies provided a nice way to chill out.
Note: Downtown and two enormous Grocery stores are within walking distance. -

Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010
Nice return stay at Casa Santa Fe. The weather wasn't so great this trip that caused us to do a little more hanging out at the house than usual so it was nice to have the movie library. Had a little water problem one day but the manager had a plumber there in less than an hour. Wish I could get things done so quickly at home.

Left on 03/08/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Casa Santa Fe played the perfect host for my much need SCUBA vacation. The
house is close to the main shopping and touristy eating establishments for
those who want to play it safe. However, it is also close to some amazing local
eateries that are so cheap you'll want to over eat.
The house itself has a full kitchen and two showers. I was worried about not
having hot water but there was plenty for all of us. The beds were comfortable
which was huge after a full day of diving. The wifi was an added bonus and
proved useful for work issues. -

This was an amazing vacation. The Casa Santa Fe was the perfect place to spend my time. There isn't a doubt that I will be going back someday to Cozumel and will definitely stay there again. The location was equally convenient and not more than a short walk to many amazing restaurants and shops. The house itself was equipped with all the necessities of home. I couldn't recommend Casa Santa Fe enough. Can I go back now?

Left on 11/18/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We spent a week at Santa Fe over our summer break. It had most everything we needed: a strong AC, plenty of towels and the kitchen is well equipped. (The blender got used quite a lot.) There was a good sound system; perfect for starting off our nights before we headed into town. There is a huge Target style grocery store a short walk down the road. We rented a jeep for a few days but decided to cab it the rest of the week. A cab ride from the house to the central square was about 20 pesos, but some of the nicer bars and clubs were only a 5-10 minute walk from the house. Sitting by the small fountain on the front patio was a nice way to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Water was brought to the house when our big jug got low (fill up your small water bottles for your afternoons on the beach). We already have reservations to spend New Years 2010 there and can't wait

Left on 11/02/2009 for a stay in May 2008
We were referred to this property by friends so did not go through the usual channels for booking etc so cannot comment on that aspect of service. However the home itself is delightful; well maintained and extremely comfortable and very secure. The kitchen is really well kitted out for those who want to try preparing the local cuisine; however not really necessary because of the proximity to restaurants, and indeed to everything that Cozumel has to offer - shops, mall and of course the wonderful central square. Great for a couple or 2 couples travelling together , or even for a family with kids

North CarolinaGreat location, Great Place
Left on 10/30/2009 for a stay in February 2009
This was our third year (of many more we hope) staying at Casa Sante Fe. We love the fact that we can walk everywhere and are close to shops, food, and drink. We actually started feeling like locals. The place is great! Comfortable, clean, cool (central air is great even in February) and safe. And even though we rent a car to get to the wild side as much as we can, cabs are plentiful when we decide to take one.
Although there is a shower upstairs as well, the one downstairs is best (more water pressure as gravity has a chance to work).
There's a full kitchen if you want to cook (or keep your beer cold) but we usually head back in to town to grab the local food.
There's a great little spot out back to sit with a drink after a day at the beach, diving, sight seeing, etc.
This is a great place to put yourself in a location that feels more like you've moved to Cozumel as opposed to staying in just another hotel. -

North CarolinaCasa Sante Fe.....Cozumel
Left on 10/30/2009 for a stay in January 2009
After searching the Internet for weeks to find a house in Cozumel, we ran across Casa Sante Fe......and man, are we glad we did. Not only was it the best deal we could find, but it was also the perfect fit for us. The house was clean, well appointed, and in the best neighborhood in Cozumel. We felt very safe during our entire stay both in and around the house,as well as in all parts of Cozumel. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you have everything you need while there including Movies, Bottle Water, Cold A/C, and a fully stocked kitchen including the all important blender for the Frozen Margaritas. They also have a Great Website (www.mxtravel.com)that gives you great recommendations for restaurants, shopping, beaches, snorkeling, etc..... Our favorite inexpensive taco stand was Las Serra.....The Best Tacos anywhere, and 4 people can eat for around $12.00. Large Grocery store is a block or 2 away...Inexpensive fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice is a block away....downtown only a few blocks away.....house is centrally located and close to everything. Snorkeling and Diving is Awesome in Cozumel and beaches are beautiful. We rented a jeep which was lots of fun, but be aware of otehr drivers. You must drive around to the other side of the island to check out the beaches and scenery. We loved Cozumel and Casa Sante Fe, and will definately stay there again on our next visit.

Durham, NCAn Awesome Week!
Left on 10/30/2009 for a stay in July 2008
Casa Sante Fe is a wonderful place to stay on the island of Cozumel. Located
within walking distance of the downtown squares and just around the corner
from a relaxing garden park, Casa Sante Fe is a great location. It sits right
next to a beautiful Catholic Church. It's clean, spacious and safe. Plenty of
space with a maid to boot. The grocery store is just down the block and the
ocean is just a few more blocks. We picked up drinks on our way to the beach.
Then reproduced our favorite corona commercials on the beach. We rented a
dune buggy for a few day trips to the other side of the island. Incredible ocean
views, great food and really friendly people. We had the time of our lives and
plan on returning soon. -

Left on 10/19/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Couldn't have been happier with our accommodations at Santa Fe in Cozumel. Comfortable furnishings and beds. Full kitchen. Free wifi. Nice stereo and TV with good movie library. And a blasting a/c. In the Corpus Christi neighborhood about 3 blocks from the shore. Convenient to Chedraui Supermarket and local shopping. Will definitely stay there again.
