Residencias Reef is amazing. The beach is beautiful and we saw a huge eagle ray just off the beach on our first day in the water (a small boat warning kept us from diving that day). For divers, the pier makes for a very convenient pick up location and the scuba rinse areas are great.
While on our trip, we stayed at 2 different condos due to limited availability of Casita del Mar. (I really wanted to be right next to the water and the other condo was set back a bit.) I am so glad that it worked out that way! The condo is small, which I knew going in. It is well decorated, but in a way that makes you afraid to touch anything. We requested no housekeeping and still, everyday, housekeeping came. We got a snotty email from the owner during our visit about some stained bedsheets and we were told that it was not acceptable and that replacement ones would be $350. Talk about making us not feel at home! I was humiliated! And to make matters worse, after the emails, the owners sent a "friend" by the condo with the "bag of evidence" questioning and accusing me of ruining their sheets. I will not even go into the ant infestation near the water jug.
I was so relieved when it was finally time to move on to the other condo! The other condo was the same price but huge! And even though not directly on the beach, still a great location. That was finally when I could enjoy being in Cozumel! From that point on, Cozumel and Residencias Reef was a dream vacation!Response from Enjoy Cozumel - 04/19/2013

We're sorry to hear this guest had a miscommunication with the owner of the condo. As is stated in the review, the guest stained all the sheets, towels, and pillow cases in the condo with red hair dye. The stains were not reported, and were discovered by the maid.
All the linens in the condo are top quality and had to be specially treated to remove the stains. We apologize if there was any miscommunication between the guest and owner. -

From the moment we arrived at Residencias Reef we were very imprested.
People were very friendly, the place was clean, the green colors of bushes and trees made us feel like we were truly in paradise.
When we arrived at our condo we were surprised with a very thoughtful gift basket from the owners Ellen and Steve. Fruits, snacks and wine were a very nice touch and definitely made us feel like we are surrounded by very nice people.
The condo is perfect ! It has everything you possibly may need. The owners recently remodeled the unit so everything is new and the place is beautifully decorated. The kitchenette has all you need. From making drinks to cooking a full meal they have it all. We could not get over the fact how everything was well planned out to make this condo sufficient and comfortable.
Location!!! We can not say enough how much we loved the location of this condo. The ocean was steps away from us, we could see it, smell it and listen to the waves all the time. It was perfect. We also enjoyed the pool which was just as close as the beach. The place was never to crowded and we always found enough chairs for everyone.
My husband is a diver and he was happy that his dive operation as well as most others picked up divers from the peer that is next to the RR .
We had few places near by that we visited for a bite to eat.
South from the condo there is Ocean restaurant that is now open from 8am to 11pm. .
Little bit further but also within walking distance there are couple of beach bars that offer lots of water activity, good drinks, snacks and lunch. They are open until 5pm.
Rr is 15 min south of town so renting a car makes things little easier.
Over all we had a wonderful time, we were very happy that we picked Residencias Reef to be are paradise place and we can not wait to return.

From the moment we entered Casita del Mar we were in love with this beautifully decorated condo. The owners had thoughtfully left a welcoming gift of wine, beer, coffee, and fruit for us upon our arrival. When we opened our drapes we were awestruck by the magnificent view of the beach and ocean and their nearness to the condo. Literally feet away.
Sitting out on our patio at night looking at the stars, and enjoying coffee in the morning looking out on the white sandy beach and turquoise blue water was heavenly.
Although a studio condo, Casita del Mar has a washer and dryer, safe, and a comfy king sized bed. They even provide beach towels for you! We had a housekeeper named Veronica that kept our condo neat and clean making us feel spoiled.
Alex, the Guest Manager, was fabulous and made great dinner and lunch suggestions and even went so far as to show us how to get to the best places to eat.
We would recommend renting a car due to the fact that the condo is 9 miles out of town. However, the drive didn't seem long at all, and we liked being in an area that was quiet, with great security. Also, there are some fun beach clubs close by.
We highly recommend this condo to anyone wishing to experience a "little slice of heaven."

our only bad experience in cozumel was at the airport where we were scammed by one of the travel advisory people. unfortunately it clouded the vacation - other than that we loved cozumel, the people and the level of safety that we felt there.

Having a condo right on the beach was wonderful. It was very clean and nicely decorated. We were very comfortable and it was so nice to be able to walk right out of the patio onto the beach. Truly, a wonderful week in Cozumel!

Casa Julie at Residencias Reef offered my wife and me a perfect setting for our
30th wedding anniversary. Not many guests at this time of the year made the
place even more calm. The studio was confortable enough for us two. The
terrace opens directly to a little garden in front of the white sand and blue
ocean.
Residencias Reef is free of the crowd of cruise tourists, except for a few of
them who stroll in front of the property. You can hear your own music, not
others'! Or just listen to the little waves at the shore and the birds.
It was paradise except for the mosquitoes (it had rained heavily the previous
days).
The suggestion our host, Margaret, made us to choose our scuba diving
instructor was excellent. -

This large studio was perfect for our family of four. It is located fifty feet from the sea and the large infinity pool is really close. The view is one of the best I have ever seen and I consider myself to be well traveled. We absolutely loved enjoying our morning meal on the patio and watching ships go by. Three steps down and WOW you are on the beach. This condo is beautifully decorated and was stocked with EVERYTHING. We enjoyed cooking and the area restaurnts were wonderful. The area has everything for a great vacation. I doubt we will ever want to stay anywhere else. It was a true paridise vacation.
